Mollie screamed as the man reached for her, grabbing ahold of her wrist and twisting it. Without thinking, Mollie brought her other arm back and swung it full force at Jeb's face. An audible crack could be heard as the man screamed, blood flowing from his nose, and she jerked her arm from his grip. Then she was falling.

Adair caught her easily, hugging her tightly when she fell into his arms. For a second, he thought about asking if her hand was okay, as he'd heard the crack from way down where he'd been standing. Instead, he set her down, taking her hand and breathing out, "Let's go," just before he started running.

Mollie sucked in deeply, trying to regain her composure, and gently cradled her now broken wrist to her chest. Pain shot up her arm and she began to sob as they ran. The freezing wind blew Mollie's hair hastily into her terrified face and sent a chill straight to her bone. Trees engulped them as they entered the small woods around her house and thin branches snapped under their feet. "Where did the other man go?" Mollie asked between clenched teeth.

"Maybe he fainted," Adair gasped, and then he stopped, clutching the trunk of a tree, practically keeling over as he did so. "I don't know. He might've lost enough blood to faint, or maybe he's just trying to nurse his wound." At that, he glanced over at Mollie, coming towards her and placing his hands over her hand. "What's wrong?" he asked quietly, letting his hair cover his eyes. He didn't want Mollie to see the fear in them.

Mollie held her hand out for Adair to see. "I think it's broken," she whispered, wiping her face with her other hand. She was thinking about which way they should go next when she heard another twig snap somewhere in the dark. Panic set into her again and she grabbed for Adair, causing pain to shoot through her arm again. "Did you hear that?"

Just when Adair was about to turn Mollie's hand around, she grabbed him, and he held his breath. When he didn't hear another sound, he exhaled, pulling away from Mollie. "It was probably just some forest animal," he murmured to her, glancing around. "Nothing that could hurt us, let alone bother us." ( Uh. o.o' I don't know what to do with Cay. 8D )

(Have him pop out somewhere in the woods. XD) Mollie shook her head, certain that it wasn't some sort of animal. "What if they're out here, Adair? What are we going to do?" She nervously glanced around at the darkness and bit her lip. This was the scaredest she'd ever been in her life. Jeb roared with anger as he climbed back through the girls bedroom window. Balling his hands into fists, he grabbed the first thing that he'd seen, a snowglobe sitting ontop of her night stand, and hurled in against the wall sending shards of thick gl*censored* flying everywhere. Jeb looked at the sparkling gl*censored* on the floor and then took a deep breath, reaching into his pocket for a small phone. He dialed and then held it to his ear. "Pick up, Cay."

( o.o' Okay. ) "I don't know," Adair answered, picking a twig out of his hair. He'd been so scared earlier that he hadn't noticed when it got caught in his hair. Sitting down on a stub of a tree trunk, he looked up at the sky, ignoring the fact that his legs were shaking. He just had to think, and once he thought of something to do, they'd be okay. Yeah, it was all going to be fine. "What?" Cay spat into his phone, still clutching at the open wound in his arm. It still hurt quite a bit, and he was sure that that kid had practically shoved his knife straight through his arm, maybe even scratched his bone. He actually hadn't thought that a boy that looked like a girl was so strong, but, seeing as he was strong enough to dig a knife through flesh like that...
