Note on chars: I encourage people to design their characters with varying opinions on the plot. If every char is either "let's enslave pets and be evil" or "let's be heroes," it'll get old fast. Create your characters freely so we can all think of interesting ways to respond!

Alright everyone, I don't frequent the RP board, nor do I write that often, but this is a 'literate' thread. Posts need to be at least three sentences, and I'd like them to be more than that. Try to correct your misspellings and grammar mistakes. c:

If you are using 2 characters from either faction, separate the posts with a horizontal line. Read others posts thoroughly and respect their actions. Don't assume that your character knows what either group is doing! If your character is not witness to something, then he/she is unaware of it.

Plot

There have been rumors circulating for the past few months of an organization of creatu that is stealing and hatching the eggs of others. The whereabouts of the supposed organization are unknown, as is the reason for the theft; however, mentions of Uldavi and its inhabitants have been linked to the rumors.

Hatching eggs that are not one’s own, and also hatching any eggs before they are fully incubated, is strictly taboo amongst creatu of all planets. In the histories of the four planets of the solar system Rescreatu there have been rogues who disobey this instinctive taboo, but never large groups. Most rogues have been caught and imprisoned, or attacked and killed. This time, the group of rogues is keeping unusually quiet, and many common creatu (the core consisting of creatu whose eggs have been stolen) believe that something needs to be done.

From the inside:

Uldavi, since its discovery, has been a resource for both exotic pets and items as well as for a more sinister trade. Pets turned into Kir, the emissary from Uldavi’s government, are distributed to the people of Uldavi’s main continent. These creatu are looked after and safe. Uldavi, however, does not consist solely of wealthy ranchers. Other continents employ the use of their few native creatu as slaves within various industries, be they hatcheries, plantations, or quarries. Upon the merger between the four planets of Rescreatu and Uldavi, the drivers that enslave the ivik jumped at the chance to procure a more hardy work force.

This is where the rumored organization comes in. Headed by a black aerix known within the trade as Bacardi, the group of rogue slave traders seeks an easy fortune from the industries on the far side of Uldavi. The easiest way to obtain slaves is to steal eggs. It’s not as noticeable as actively capturing adults, and the use of the Regression Ray (originally developed in Uldavi for this very purpose) allows for slaves to be instantly bulked up to the size necessary for their industry. The eggs of common, seasonal, and rare creatu are all taken – each species has a purpose in the Uldavian slave trade.

Ornate

Gender: Male
Faction: Investigator
Nickname: none
Appearance: Three of the ribbons in his tail fan are slashed.
History: Ornate is the only surviving jahra of his large litter of siblings, at least of which he is aware. He was raised alone, irregularly for his species, by his natural parents. The 12 other eggs that were to bear his siblings were stolen by the very organization that he will soon set off to dismantle. His will to end the egg theft is guided by the fact that he was an outcast amongst his cohort; jahras of small families were thought to be inferior in the small pockets of rainforest they inhabit.

Bacardi


Gender: Male
Faction: Rogue
Nickname: Baca, Sir
Appearance: His red and gold markings are more dull than on regular black aerix. The antennae feathers on his tail are strangely long. He is an ominous figure.
History: Born wild and abandoned by his parents at an early age, Bacardi has no reservations. Though intelligent and able to command well, he failed utterly throughout his life to listen to his conscience. By now it is long replaced by a lust for satisfaction with his own wealth, power, and secrecy.

Shayz

Gender: Male
Faction: Investigator
Nickname: He only goes by Shayz, but he's always wanted a code name! (preferably Rabbit)
Appearance: His fur is a little darker than most natural Iluvus' and his eyes are purple instead of red. Also, his paws and his tail are snow-white.
Personality: Shayz is very caring and loving - mainly because he is an Iluvu - and is quite loyal as well. However, he may come off as annoying sometimes. He's generally enjoyable to be around and is pretty nice. Shayz may have odd coloring, but he's the classic Iluvu.

Faction: Rogue? :3
Nickname: Foo, or Dawg. Usually answers to whatever.
Appearance: His left 'tusk' is broken off about mid-point, probably during some sort of fight. There's a few scars here and there, and a small piece missing from his right ear.
Personality: FooDog may not be the brightest star in the sky, but he's got loyalty that makes up for that. He takes orders without question, most of the time shoving away his own thoughts and feelings on the matter to get the job done. It's hard to tell if he supports this or doesn't.
History: FooDog's species, Shaefu, is usually for the rich pampered humans. He disliked this life so much he left; and in search of something a little more interesting he found his future in the slavery business.

Nickname: Toby. Actually hates this nickname...
Appearance: There's a small tear in the bottom portion of his left wing. His eyes are more deep indigo than anything.
Personality: Tobaz takes his work seriously, though he's a bit scatter-minded and easily distracted. He's unorganized and prone to misplacing things but his heart is in the right place and he's got excellent morals.
History: Tobaz grew up with a rancher on Relcore, not unlike most Creatu. When his owner released him into the Atquati forest, however, he began to search for more and found himself sucked into this mess.
