He gave a small smile and a nod. "Welcome back." Was all he said feeling no reason to say more. He checked on his sister who was still asleep, a contented smile on her face. When he was done he looked up at the elf once more. "What's the plan?"

I thought for a moment. "Follow me and don't question anything I do." I told him simply. I smiled as I said this, and even though I willed my face to be serous, I couldn't. It was if all my worries were gone, having the queen dead forever. Though her memories still persisted, she was no more. I walked slowly over to the Demon's horse. I examined it for a moment, then looked back at the demon.
"What weapons do you have to defend your self?" I asked him.

He grinned at that. "I do not need weapons, but..." He paused and reached behind him and into the back of his cloak that was hidden by the hood. He then brought his hands forward once more. In both hands was a pair of dual blades. They were made with a strange black metal. He put them back. "I also have another weapon, but that is for me to know only for now." He looked at his sister his face growing. "No one knows of it, not even her."

I growled at him. "You are to show me." I told him. "And don't even think about saying no. Remember the plan?" I added, sensing that he would most likely not.

He sighed. -I knew I should not have said anything.- He closed his eye for a split second before it opened once more, now blood red in color. In his hand appeared a great sword made of pure shadow. It was linked to his life force...A soul blade. He held it easily with one hand. Everyone he knew were never able to wield any great sword one handed. It was made for two hands, especially since it was so large and heavy. He did not feel any weight. To him it was as light as a feather. He had never shown anyone his soul blade before now. No one knew of it except him...and now her.

I grinned as I saw the sword. "Give it here for a moment." I told him. "I wanna see how good you really are with that thing." I said my feet slipped across the ground, eventually reaching Flash. I pulled out a long, pure white sword. My face was grim as I placed the long blade on me hand, the hilt on my other hand. I sighed as I thrust the sword into the soft, damp dirt.
"I'll use this one." I said, my eyes looking intently at Garret's sword. My hands reached to the back of my head. I felt a smooth material meet my hands as I pulled the flexible vine from my hair. My hair fell onto back as the rain soaked it even more.

He nodded and moved into a fighting stance, his blade arm at his side elbow bent. The elbow past the bock of his body, the sword forward, easily held one handed though the blade was the length of his body and wider than her's. His teeth bared in what look like a mix of a smirk and a feral smile. His good eye turning from its normal green to gold. His body quivered ever so slightly with the anticipation of the upcoming spar.

I grinned and pulled the pure white sword from the earth.
"Do you want me to take it easy?" I asked him, the grin om my face taking over. "Or do you want me to knock you flat on your butt in the first two seconds?" I taunted. I resisted laughing, but let out a small chuckle.

He smirked and rushed forward. In a split second he was behind her. Her sword was not far away, knocked out of her hands.

I grinned at his quickness. "This shall prove an actual spar, then?" I joked. Before even my 'new and improved' eyes could process it, I was in a tree, Garret's sword in my hands again. I grabbed a branch and swung down. Still hanging onto the branch, my feet hit the demon square in the chest, knocking him to the ground. I quickly grabbed his sword and placed one bare foot on his chest, just enough to keep him down, yet not enough to hurt him. With his sword in one hand, Garret's in the other, I looked down upon my now defeated enemy and noted how extremely light his sword was.
"I guess I was wrong then." I chuckled.

He smirked. "Are you sure about that?" His sword appeared once more in his hand and suddenly he was behind her, holding his blade to her throat. "Even when your enemy is down, never let your guard down. The only time you can be sure that they cannot attack, is when they are dead." When he said that last word, his voice was nothing more than a cold snarl.

I laughed.
"Travon!" I shouted. A branch whisked down and then shot back up from the tree above us; the demon's sword entangled in the tree. "Raketh!" I said, just as I had when the Demon and I first met. Everything went still. I slowly stepped away from the demon, then turned around to face him. I laughed as I saw a bird not too far behind him.
"Hey there, little one." I said in the silence of the rest of the world. It was my little robin, the one who had almost caused the death of it's self, yet saved my life. It was frozen in mid flight, about ten meters away.
"Anyways." I said to myself. I thrust Garret's sword into the ground and took to the tree that was holding the demons sword for me. "Runa Lateth Numera." I said quietly, as if afraid to break the utter silence. It was a binding spell. Nothing but I could move that sword now.
I jumped down and pulled out Garret's sword. I slowly walked around to the back of the demon. With Garret's sword to his neck, I said "Raketh," again, and the whole forest began to buzz alive again.
"Never underestimate your enemy." I told him with a sly smile.

"Too true." He replied from behind her. That which she had bound was nothing more than a clone. His blade was pressed once more against her throat.

I zipped behind him once more, sword to his throat. "This is never going to end, is it? I'm going to use a spell, you are going to point that stick at my throat again, and it will just keep going on." I let down Garret's sword. "You have proven you are a fair match. Truce?" I asked him, grinning.

I poked him with the tip of Garret's sword, then pressed one foot on his chest. I grinned as I pushed him over, almost as I had done only a minute before. "Now, once you are done picking yourself up out of the dirt, we ride." I said with the humor layered thick on my tongue. I whistled and Flash came over to me. I hopped on his bare back and felt for my bow. It was where it was supposed to be; on the side of Flash, along with most of my supplies. I put Garret's sword into a pouch. I then slowly urged Flash on over to the Demon's sister. I picked her up gently and placed her behind me.
"Don't even think about it." I told the demon, knowing he would protest. Just then I felt Flash bolt off into the trees, leaving the demon in the dust. "Good boy." I told Flash, grinning.

He growled darkly as his own horse came over. He jumped onto it and took off after her. He easily caught up with her. He then grabbed his sister from her and put her in front of him. He kept one arm around her waist, his hand on her hip. He never let anyone near her if he could help it. Not even those he trusted...if any. He had issues trusting people, but for some reason something told him that he could trust this elf.

I growled darkly at him, my eyes radiating brightly. I shook my head the slightest amount and looked back down at Flash. "I suppose my brother would have done the same..." I murmured to myself. I leaned over Flash as a jockey might when trying to gain speed. "Do you think so, old boy?" I asked him, my voice just a whisper. It quavered a little, not really knowing if he would or not. I loved my brother for the half year I knew him... The half year before my whole family was killed.

He easily heard her, though she spoke in a whisper and to her horse. "I'm sorry." Was all he said as he noticed the way her voice wavered. He knew that the only way that would happen, was if her brother was dead.

I looked up at the demon. “Why would you care?” I asked, my
voice breaking in more than one point. Every day I had to cope with this. Every
day no one offered me comfort. Every day I had to suffer all the pain for him,
my mother, my father, and I. But that didn’t even compare with the pain I was
feeling now. “After all, it was your family that killed them.”
