(Ok.)
Sierra was very alert, her ears ready to pick up the slightest sound and her body ready to flee at any second. Her green eyes scanned the not-very-thick forest, and then she heard something very far off. A soft buzzing... No. The sound of a voice. Creeping closer to the voice's source, she could just make out what they were saying. The wolf currently speaking was female, from the higher pitch she detected. "We need to infiltrate them soon," the first female said. "The one that came after us was probably the beginning of some sort of attack!" "Don't be stupid. He was a spy," another female voice hissed. "He was also a big nuisance. I wasted energy on the stupid sap. Maybe it wasn't a lot - his kill was effortless - but still." A male voice was then heard. "You could both be right. Tomorr, are you going to speak up or be quiet this whole time?" "I simply don't have anything to say," a male wolf, presumably Tomorr, muttered. "If I have something to say I'll be sure to speak up." The first female growled lowly. "You never participate in anything. You're useless! Why don't I just kill you to have a stronger team here?!" "Calm down, Ridessa," the other male voice said. "He's not-" "I can't simply calm down, Vaynus!" the first female, apparently named Ridessa, answered the male, who was now known as Vaynus, rather harshly. "Tomorr never does or says anything useful except spitting insults!" The other female didn't speak, nor did Vaynus or Tomorr answer Ridessa. Ridessa growled and then it subsided. "Anyways," she said, a hint of anger in her voice, "We need to move in on those dumb wolves. They're one wolf short. This will make it easier for us." "Not like he would've put up a challenge even if he was still alive," the other female added. Ridessa ignored her. "Tomorrow night, we need to track them down and get closer. After surveying their normal doings, once the moon is highest and we've concocted a plan, we'll strike. Good?" No answer. "Good, very well then, comrades. Now let's go to sleep. We must rest up for tomorrow," Ridessa concluded, and began to walk towards Sierra's position. Oh crap. Oh crap oh crap oh crap! Sierra's thoughts screamed as she began to try to quietly do a powerwalk away. But Ridessa was quick. The others weren't, thankfully. Ridessa gasped and growled. Sierra looked over her shoulder and froze. Ridessa's gaze was locked on her. Everything, every muscle, every thought, screamed 'RUN'. But she just couldn't. Ridessa lunged and ran after her, very silent and very fast. Then the white wolf bolted from the gray Gangvar wolf, running at top speed. Then she ran out of the forest and realized Ridessa was no longer running after her. She caught some more voices. "What was that all about?" Vaynus inquired. "A snowy owl. I decided to give it a good scare," Ridessa answered with a light laugh. So she didn't realize it was a wolf..? Then again, Sierra was still pretty far away. It was good that she was an owl for a while. That identity mistake just saved her life. She began a fast trot to the place where her 'team' was.

Coheed looked around in the grass. Everything smelled so bad. It was as if something had been killed and let to rot, and- Coheed froze.
Aketa.
The wolf's body was in front of him, flies buzzing around everywhere. Coheed had always disliked him, but he could tell that whoever had attacked him must have taken their time killing him. He wondered how many wolves it had taken for a moment, but then he quickly remembered that this was Aketa. So, not many. They hadn't been in any hurry, and now the Gangvar wolves had an advantage in numbers. Moving on, Coheed tried to track Sierra's scent.

Sierra was heading back, but she always kept looking over her shoulder, just in case anybody was following. There was still quite a way to go, and she didn't like all this re-treading of her steps. Meanwhile, Ridessa and her gang were sleeping, not curled up together, but all splayed out in a tiny clearing in the forest. However, Tomorr was not asleep. He had his eyes closed, alright, but sleep was not something that came easily to him. His ear swiveled around as it picked up a very far-away and very quiet sound... Like a paw stepping into the grass.
Wait. A paw stepping into the grass? EDIT: (Aaannnd yeah you remember I'll be gone from the 10th to 16th? I talked to you about it. :I )

(Sorry D:) Coheed had lost Sierra's scent. The stench of dead idiot was overpowering it. By a lot. Sure, Aketa was dead, but Coheed didn't have a lot of sympathy for the wolf. He'd probably caused the wolves to find him in the first place. He'd probably gotten to close to the Gangvar wolves, or seen a spider. Or done something ridiculous. It wouldn't be the first time. Since Coheed couldn't find Sierra's scent, he decided to guess which way she had gone. He continued forward, unknowingly walking straight toward the Gangvar wolves.

Tomorr rose to his feet as Sierra was nearing her group's mini-campsite. He slowly padded towards the sound, scenting the air and noticing it was the scent of wolf. Ears perked forwards and alert, he waited for another sound of the intruder to give away. This wolf was not of Gangvar origin. His eyes showed calm and yet they were calculating as he contemplated how to approach the situation. He didn't like killing. Especially in these little games. Vaynus, he knew, was more of a justice-fighter, but to live for his own life he'd kill. And Tomorr knew that. The she-wolves? They had no clue. Ridessa was a bit on the dumb side of the spectrum and had no clue what was going on and she thought of it all as a fun game. The other she-wolf was a cold-blooded murderer and pretty frightening all by herself. She already killed some poor sap who was doing whatever near them last night. So... maybe... just maybe... He'd let the wolf live.

Coheed continued moving forward, though he still couldn't find where Sierra had gone. The smell of dead wolf was gradually becoming less noticeable. The main stench of it, anyway. There were, of course, still dead bodies scattered all around the valley, but he was an acceptable distance away from Aketa's. Far enough away that he didn't feel like he might puke, but close enough that he was still aware of the smell.
He continued to walk, still going forward, but froze in his tracks a couple seconds later.
Damn it!
Coheed was glad he'd managed to keep the words inside his head, and not scream them out loud for the Gangvar wolves to hear.
Y'know, since they were pretty much right in front of him.

Tomorr spotted a wolf across from the small clearing. He ran towards it - a male, it appeared - and pinned him down immediately, biting his muzzle down so he couldn't speak, though he didn't dig in his claws or bite down too hard because he didn't want to hurt the fellow. "Don't say a word," he whispered. "They're sleeping. I don't want to hurt you. How about we go out somewhere and talk about some things? Such as why one of your wolves came to spy on us. And why you're here in the first place."

With wide, terrified eyes, Coheed attempted to nod, but it was a bit difficult with the Gangvar wolf attached to his face. What choice did he have? He had to say yes, or he'd probably be killed. Hopefully, the wolf would at least understand that he was trying to nod in agreement, and not trying to pull away from him.

Tomorr felt the wolf's head go up and down in a nod, or at least that's what he interpreted it as. Perhaps it was struggle, but he just really wanted to get his muzzle out of his mouth. He let go gently, then got up off of the wolf, still tense in case he was going to attack him. "Follow me. If we get out of this patch of forest, they can't hear us," he whispered, then the dark russet colored wolf began to lead the way. Two meters from the intruder, he stopped and looked back. Coming?

Coheed nodded quickly, and sped up to go after him. He began walking, and looked toward the wolf. "Why aren't you going to kill me?" He whispered. He knew it was a stupid question, but wanted to know the answer. "And, um...by the way...thanks. For um...not killing me."

The Gangvar wolf let out a small 'hah' as a short laugh as he started walking again. "I don't think these sick little games are nice. I don't want to kill anybody. So think of yourself as lucky that I was the one you encountered and not one of the others," he answered. Once they were out of the forest, he sat down. "Now tell me - what was that fellow of yours doing wandering about these parts? He was all alone. Surely you'd be smart enough to stick together. You could've spared him, I could tell he wasn't one that knew how to fight."

Coheed paused for a moment, wondering if this were some sort of a trick, and wondering if he should lie. But lying might get him killed in this kind of a situation. "His name was Aketa...and he wasn't very bright. He was sent over here as a scout while the rest of us stayed back. To make sure none of you guys were tracking us." He paused, feeling like a complete and total traitor to his pack. "I know we could've spared him, but he volunteered to go. As I said, he wasn't very bright..."

Tomorr gave a slight nod. "Uh-huh." He looked out towards where the intruder had probably come from then back at the wolf. "So, I assume you've taken his place?" His orange eyes looked the wolf up and down and then stared back at the wolf's own eyes once more. They were calm, showing no intent of malice whatsoever, though his body was still slightly tensed. One always had to be prepared for anything.
(By the way, what's the main pack called anyway? o.o I can't keep calling it 'her pack' or 'his pack' or 'the pack'. D: )

(It doesn't have a name o_o) Coheed looked down at his paws. "Well..." There was a long pause. "...no. I followed the she-wolf who took his place. I...I couldn't let her get hurt. I tried to take Aketa's place in the first place but she did instead, and I was assigned to take his place tomorrow, and so she went out tonight, but I couldn't risk her getting hurt so I followed her here, but I lost her scent when I found the other dead wolf from my pack, and now I'm here."

Tomorr furrowed his brows. That she-wolf was good. He hadn't noticed her. Then he wondered what she overheard and his paws kneaded the ground a bit in thought. Relaxing, he decided that even if she had heard their plans, he didn't want them to get hurt. So he was cool with it anyways, he supposed. "It sounds to me that you have feelings for her, no?" he inquired. He could sense a certain piece to the tone of his voice that hinted at this.

Coheed paused, to consider this. He knew he cared about her but he'd honestly never really thought of it like that. He just liked her enough that he didn't want to see her hurt. Remembering that he also liked her enough to put his own life at risk, like he had by volunteering to go into the Trials just to protect her, he knew Tomorr was right.
"Yes." He replied. "Yes I do."

After a pause, Tomorr asked, "Does she know that, and does she like you back?" He was never one to pry or to really be involved in these things, but it kept the conversation going. This wolf seemed to be... safe. They seemed to be going well at being acquaintances. His ear turned back as he heard one of his packmates - Ridessa, most likely - do something like turn in their sleep. Nothing to be worried about.
(Ok. So Nameless Pack. That's... an interesting name. xD)
