Coheed was silent for a few seconds as he tried to decide if this was okay with him. He didn't want her to get physically hurt or killed, but he also knew that emotional pain could be far worse than pain that is physical. If she were physically hurt, he could at least try to save her from it. If she were killed, maybe it'd be better for her. After all, anywhere else was better than here, where the bodies of wolves Coheed knew were scattered everywhere, and this was all like a sick game, another team against them. And technically, they were losing. They were one wolf short while Gangvar's little "team" still had all four of the members it had began with.
But if Sierra died, even though it may be better for her, Coheed wasn't about to let her go so easily. And if something happened to her, he didn't know what he'd do. But those wolves were coming tonight. There was nearly no time to prepare for the attack. The only concern of his was to protect Sierra. Coheed was a decent fighter, but the Gangvar wolves seemed like they were, for the most part, vicious. Considering what they'd done to Aketa.
The Gangvar wolves had actually been pretty lucky when they found Aketa, since he'd died in the tall grass, which had to have at least been a decent hiding place. Assuming that Aketa had been hiding there. The Gangvar wolves were lucky ones. Coheed didn't really like to hurt other wolves, but he had a true reason to fight when they got here. Luck wasn't going to be enough to save them.
"I'll teach you how to fight." Coheed said. He was already sitting up. "Think fast," He said, and leaped toward her in an attempt to knock her down.

Sierra let out a short "Yeeeep!" and leapt aside instinctively and very quickly. She sat there, one paw raised, breathing fast and a bit wide-eyed. She soon calmed down and sat normally, relaxed once more, though still a bit tense. "Gosh!" the she-wolf breathed softly, mostly speaking to herself. She hadn't moved that fast from an attack since... um... Well, since a very long time ago. So long, in fact, she couldn't remember when it was. Sierra did know, however, that she was a very swift wolf, so maybe that could help in this training.

Coheed nearly fell over since he'd been expecting to actually tackle Sierra, and it took a second to regain his balance. Sierra was able to move out of the way faster than he'd thought, and Coheed realized he had underestimated her. Maybe her speed would give her a little bit of an advantage over the Gangvar wolves. He turned around to face her again, a little embarrassed that she'd managed to get away, but he couldn't help but smile a little. "You're pretty quick!" He barked. "Alright, now how about you try and attack me."

"I only think it was because you scared me... Hah, let's see if I can do it again," she said, saying the last part very doubtingly of herself. Sierra could still barely believe she was able to dodge the attack anyways. It was like a one-time thing, probably. In reality, she really wasn't fast unless, as before, you frightened her. At Coheed's next sentence, Sierra frowned. "I'm not good at that part," she whined.

Coheed sighed. "I can teach you, if you want...or are you like...just not good at it?" He asked, sitting down. If she wasn't good at attacking, it'd obviously be a problem when the Gangvar wolves showed up, be he didn't know what she was capable of, either. "Just try and attack me." Coheed said, "So I know if you're actually good at it or not."

"O-kayyy," Sierra said shakily, shuffling her paws. After about a minute or two, she had mustered up enough courage to execute an attack. She shot forward with two long strides and leapt at Coheed in an attempt to pin him down. But, of course... she missed. Her aim was horrid. And she just couldn't do it. She couldn't hurt him. "I'm sorry! I just can't do it. I don't want to hurt you..." Sierra said quickly, head down, eyes staring at her paws, taking in every detail of them as she played with the dirt, embarrassed and totally self-conscious.

Coheed wanted to say he'd be fine, but he didn't want to start an argument with Sierra over how she didn't want to hurt him. It seemed like she needed to actually be angry in order to attack him, so maybe he just needed to make her angry. As much as he hated to fight her, it could save her life later. Coheed narrowed his eyes and snarled. He was faking all his anger, but it was hard to tell. It was convincing. Coheed launched himself toward her, growling, trying to pin her to the ground. "You'd better hurt me!" He shouted.

She felt the impact of the ground rush up on her as Coheed was holding her to the ground. She helplessly squirmed but couldn't get out of the towering wolf's grip. His anger... Where did all that come from? Sierra was afraid. He shouted at her.
"You'd better hurt me!" The she-wolf was confused. He's angry because... she didn't attack? B-but this is no way to teach someone, because yelling at a poor wolf does not equal good results. "I-I'm sorry, Coheed," Sierra whispered. "I just... I can't hurt you. You never did anything to me. And you're on our pack's side. A-and.. you... I don't like it when I'm screamed at."

It was really bothering Coheed to act like this, it wasn't like him. He let the fake anger fade out of his ex pression, and he stepped away to let Sierra get up. "I'm sorry." He said. "I thought maybe it'd make you angry, and you'd attack me. It was stupid...but I promise you won't be hurting me. You need to be able to attack if I'm going to teach you. Please...try it again...?" He asked.

Sierra opened her mouth to say something, probably along the lines of, 'that was a stupid idea' and about the hurting thing 'but you don't know what will happen!', though then her right ear turned around to hear Kiyiya rise from his sleep. He looked annoyed - perhaps at himself for sleeping so long - and he padded over to the two of them. "Morning," he said, then turned to Sierra. "What did you find out last night?"
"Aketa was killed by the Gangvar wolves in a field of tall grass. He stinks a lot. And I caught the Gangvar wolves themselves in a meeting of some sort. They were discussing why Aketa was there and they decided, in the end, to attack us tonight, when the moon was at its highest point and after they observed us. So we should keep an eye out for any spies around and be in top shape to fight tonight." Kiyiya sat down and nodded. "Then that's what we'll do. Let's practice fighting today... and... two of us could possibly patrol the area every once in a while. Do you agree on this, Coheed?"

Coheed nodded. "Sierra and I were already practicing fighting." He paused. "Kind of, anyway." He sat down. Sierra really needed to learn how to fight, or he knew she might not last long when the Gangvar wolves got here. The fact that she didn't want to hurt him was a little bit irritating, because he only wanted to help her, and she wouldn't go along with him. Coheed wasn't worried about any physical pain, so he didn't know what she was so concerned about with all of the 'I don't want to hurt you' and 'I can't hurt you' type stuff.

(Ok. *Epic timeskip ensues*)
They had been doing all they could all day, but the Gangvar wolves must've been pretty sneaky, because they never saw any one of them. At least Sierra and Kiyiya didn't. Kiyiya was battle-ready, and not only did he know how to fight, he knew how to fight very well. Sierra, on the other hand... she was a nervous wreck. She had contemplated following Coheed's orders and leaving the fight while it went on and returning afterwards, because, frankly, she didn't have any clue how she was going to survive any of this. She was too nice to hurt anyone. At the moment, Kiyiya was standing, watching in the distance. Sierra noticed the moon, sitting at the highest point in the sky. Which meant they were coming soon. It was now or never - tell Coheed she'd leave, or fight and risk death.

Coheed had only been getting more and more nervous. Sierra didn't seem to have improved on fighting, and he didn't think she was going to run away from the fight. He felt like he was going to have to protect her through the whole thing. He padded over to her, deciding to stay near her, since he didn't know when the Gangvar wolves would be here. "I really think you should go." He said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want them to hurt you, and Kiyiya and I will be fine. I'll come and find you after the fight if you decide to leave."

Sierra frowned. She nodded in response. After a slight pause, she said, "But are you sure you two will, you know.. make it?" If he said 'yes', she'd go. If he didn't, she'd stay. Simple as that. Because if she didn't fight, it be the same as leaving, so either one would have the same effect: Kiy and Coheed pulling the weight. It was two against four and it wasn't fair, but those just happened to be the odds tonight, sadly enough.

Coheed thought for a minute. He wanted to say yes, but he couldn't promise it- what was she going to think if she came back and both Coheed and Kiy were dead? He sighed. "We'll do our best." He said, "No promises." Coheed already knew the chances of him and Kiyiya winning alone were very slim. They were outnumbered two to one.

(Urgh. I hate Res. It ate my post. Here is a crummier version.)
Sierra could only nod in reply as she kept her frown. She didn't say 'do you think I should leave' because she knew what Coheed's answer would be. Instead, she dug her paws into the ground and turned around. Then she went deeper into the valley. She felt horrible, leaving them behind like that to fight an unfair battle against wolves that could be much, much stronger than them. But having a wolf that couldn't fight was like having a dead weight. And that wolf was useless. They might even waste time trying to protect her. If she stayed, she would probably just get hurt and be in the way. Or worse, she could die. Sierra felt like she just condemned them to death as she trotted away from them. Actually, she just might have.

Coheed sighed as he watched her leave, but didn't try to stop her. It was better off with her somewhere else, because hopefully she'd be safer. He padded over to Kiyiya, and sat down beside him, watching for the Gangvar wolves.
The Gangvar wolves stopped at their enemies' mini-camp. They were out of sight, hiding in a bunch of bushes. Being extremely silent, they had managed to go unnoticed, and had been here for a few minutes. "Shouldn't there be three of them?" Vaynus growled, barely loud enough for Nathia, the wolf who had brutally murdered Aketa to hear. "We killed one, there should be three more." Nathia looked at the mini-camp, realizing one of the wolves was gone. "I'll find the third wolf. You three deal with these two. Ridessa's in charge. Got it?" With that, Nathia quietly padded away from the other members of her team to hunt down and kill Sierra.

(Ohhhhh SNAP)
Ridessa smirked, happy that she regained her control. Nathia had taken over for the battle, but now she was the big boss. "Ok, Vaynus, you and I will attack the dark brownish one. Tomorr, take care of the other. Got it? On three. One.... Two.... Three." Vaynus was fast. He wasn't particularly powerful, but his speed made up for it. His lithe figure moved quickly towards Kiy and toppled him over. Vaynus grabbed him by the scruff and lifted him up off the ground. Ridessa jumped and fashionably grabbed Kiyiya's neck, plunging her teeth into it. Kiyiya fought back and kicked her in the stomach - hard - seeing as she was above him. Ridessa sucked in a breath and was taken aback, and Kiyiya was aiming for her muzzle, but when Ridessa moved her head so quickly, he grabbed her ear and one of his pointy canines went through her left ear. She snarled as Kiy opened his jaws leapt at her, seeming to forget about Vaynus who grabbed him by the tail, yanking back. Kiy yelped. Tomorr had walked out of the bushes and stood before Coheed, calm. He had no intention of fighting but was still on his guard. "So how are you tonight?" he asked, taking a glance at the fight commencing. Ridessa had a hole in her ear. Ouch. Meanwhile, Sierra had broken into a sprint and had found a big cliff jutting out from the valley's side. You could not get up at the top unless you were at the top of the valley. And exiting meant death anyway. But there was a big crack in the side, enough for her to squeeze in. There was a small cavern inside, enough for about two wolves to fit comfortably but with a bit of limited space. She settled down and moved out of sight of the entrance, so anyone who peered in wouldn't be able to see her from the darkness and from how far she was from the entrance.

Eventually, Nathia found the scent of the third wolf, and began to track it.
Coheed snarled. How could Tomorr just stand there and watch the fight? It wasn't right. (Ohgosh I just rhymed. Oops. "I hate it when people rhyme when they're talking." "Don't worry, I won't rhyme all the time." D:< Anyway.) Coheed wasn't going to let him stand there and do nothing, and he tackled Tomorr, trying to pin him to the ground. This wolf was a coward. He wasn't fighting, simply because he didn't feel like it. Coheed was going to try and kill him, but he knew he was outnumbered two to one. Wait. Where was the last wolf?! It should have either been attacking him, which would have made sense, or Kiyiya, but the wolf was nowhere in sight.

(Lol at the rhyming thing.)
Tomorr growled. "Oh, I see how it is. I just thought you were wondering where our last member was!" he snapped, kicking Coheed with such power it would send him flying. Though nobody really knew it, because he was too lazy and didn't ever really feel like it, the russet wolf was very strong and could easily beat anyone here... if he wanted to. But he didn't. "I don't want to hurt you."
