Isedon groaned as he stood up just as she sat. Unhappy, she stood as well and followed him.

I put my hands in my pockets as I started down the path that I liked walking down once in a while. It was like a big garden, two miles long. There were fountains and all different types of flowers that brought color to the whole scenery. "Isn't it beautiful?"
I whispered as I stopped at the entrance of the path to wait for her.

Whoa... The colours blinded Isedon for a mere second and she blinked russet eyes to get her sight back. Just so bright and so many different colours. It sort of reminded her of all those prissy girls back in school who had to have the latest fashion no matter how blinding the colour was. So when they all swarmed together, they clashed horribly.
But... This was nature and nature was beautiful. And she nodded when she heard Nick's whisper.

I smirked, at least she could find beauty still, even if life was hard. "This is my favorite place to go when having a down day."
I said before walking forward. "It's like they have some kind of power to change your mood the second you come in. I guess it's all the smells."
I added with a small shrug. "But that's just how I imagine it."
And I was hoping it would change her mood as well. Living with bitterness is a burden that isn't needed.

She glanced around at the different colours. The diversity of flowers and plant life here amazed her to no end. So many different smells filled her nose and she closed her eyes to differentiate each one.
"I like the forest. The smell of that always soothes me when music can't," she said. Which was true. When the music she listened to only made her angrier, she fled to the forest. Whose natural sounds and smell soothed away the rage.

I smirked, finally finding something we agreed on. Before I realized that just because I was a vampire, didn't mean I needed to act like a animal, I had lived in the woods. I felt a sense of security, not fear.
There was a fountain in sight, with ducks playing around and in it. Without saying a word, I walked over to it and sat on the edge. Putting my hand in the water, the duck came to me. Ducks could be mean, but I always had this weird gift - even as a human - to have animals like me. I guess they sensed something in me that made them feel safe. I never understood it. It was why I had planned on being something along the lines of a 'vet' when I had planned for my future.
I took some of the pretzel and held out my palm, the duck eating it without even trying to bite my hand off. I smiled up at Isedon. "I never knew why, but animal's have always liked me."

Isedon watched the duck eat the pretzel bit without gnawing off Nick's hand. Her russet eyes widened. "That's cool. Though, I am similar in a way. Cats always come up to me for some reason. Some dogs as well," she said, leaning one knee against the edge of the fountain.
And as if to make her words true. A small orange tabby sauntered up to her and rubbed his head against the back of her knee. She glanced behind her and a small smile curved her lips. "Hey there, pretty-boy. Has a she-cat caught your eye yet?" she asked, reaching down to scratched the tom under his chin. His bright green eyes closed and a purr escaped him.
"No? Psh. Playboy." The tom meowed and lightly battered her hand before walking off. Tail held high and tip twitching faintly.

I smirked as Isedon interacted with the cat. Maybe we had more in common then I first had guessed. "That's pretty amazing."
I said before taking my hand out of the water and getting up once more. I got the rest of the pretzel in my hand and threw it too some ducks that were not in the water before throwing the plate away.

She shrugged slightly. "I guess," she said. Her parents thought it an annoyance, but she liked it to no end. No matter where she went when she felt down, a cat or two would always snuggle up with her, making her feel better.

"So... Let's keep walking."
I said, walking back to the path that I had left to see the ducks. "You said that music soothes you? What kind of music do you listen too?"
I asked as I put my hands back in my pockets and waited for her to come on the path to join me.

What kind of music soothes her? She snorted softly and pulled out her iPhone. Entering in the passcode and pulling up her music library, she handed it off to Nick. "All of those basically. Some are ballads," she said.
[[ Think all those heavy metal/rock/screamo bands. She likes those~ ]]

[[ Very soothing... ]]
I looked through all the titles of the songs, and I didn't need to hear one of them to know what kind of music it was. I've heard of them, but was never one for that kind of music. Call me old, but just the sound of a piano playing was my kind of music.
"And these... Soothe you? You sure?"

[[ :D
They are~ ]]
Isedon nodded. "Sometimes. Other times I just feel an urge to hit something. Then, I calm down," she said with a faint smile as she gently took back her phone.

"I never liked that kind of music."
I said with a chuckle as she took back the phone. "Maybe if you tried listening to classical, it would calm your nerves a lot better. I highly doubt that kind of music helps your mood."
I said, though I had a amused tone, not a scolding one.

Isedon shrugged. "To each there own, I guess. Right?" she asked, tilting her head slightly. But at the thought of listening to classical, she made a face. "I'd fall asleep. I like being awake when I listen to music."

I chuckled. Youth tended to have that reaction to the idea of listening to classical music. At least, the young human's I've spoken too through out my years. "I guess you're right."

"I know I'm right. I'd fall asleep in a second tops," she said, sliding her phone back into her pocket.

"Well I don't agree with that."
I said with a smirk.
"Just the sound of piano playing is beautiful too me. That's what soothing is."

She made a slight choking noise. "Pianos? Oh god," she said with a slight shake of her head. Those instruments were only good when accompanied with a guitar or two. Not by itself.

"Yes. Piano. I'll play for you sometime, and I'll show you just how beautiful they sound." I said confident that her mind would change if she heard it.
