Before Zaou knew it, the boy had run off. Cursing savagely, he bolted off, following Leon. "Boy! Dammit; Get back here!" he snarled.

-Momentarily braindead...-

Leon stopped dead, then wiped the tears form his eyes.  He wasn't ready to drop to his knees and sob, but he knew it was comming soon.  He didn't care,  He jsut shouted at the man:

"GO AWAY!"  He just glared at him "Look, I really apreciate the help, but I don't want it.  If osmeone else want to kill me, then they're my guest."  He gorlwed, then lwkaed past him stomping, the feeling to cry was more on his list.  He just wanted to get back to the house.  What was he oging to do?  Them disapearing for threem onth's was one thing, but to be dead?

Zaou snarled. "I won't leave until I find out what happened to my clients!" he called afterh him. Now this kid was a pain in hs as$. His silver eyes glowed brighter as he watched the boy walk off. Moisture in the form of water circled around his feet. He hated using his unnatural abilities, but now, he had to.

Flicking one wrist slightly, the water snaked along the concrete sidewalk and wrapped itself around Leon's ankles before turning to ice. Rock-hard ice.

"Listen boy," Zaou hissed, "people want you dead; whether for information or just plain torture. And then an immortal vampire comes to help you and you turn your back on this predetory killer. That might've been mistake number one you made."

When the water wrapped around his ankle Leon let out a surprised gasp and dropped to on knee examinign it.  Ice..He hated anyhting cold.

He didn't even bother looking at the other man, he juat glared at the sidewalk.  "..Yeah...Mistake number one.  What are you oging to do, kill me?  Well, go right a-frikin'-head.  I don't care anymore," He growled tryign to free his leg by viciously jerking his ankle after standing up and all it did was make him colder.  A shiver went up his spine, but he didn't care: "Now let me go, dammit," He said, his hands now fists.

Zaou growled. "Not until you agree to let me help you," he said. His eyes narrowed as he watched Leon's disatisfaction about the cold ice. And probably his resentment about letting a vampire help him.

Zaou raised one black eyebrow in a questioning arch. "Acting a little childish, aren't we?" he asked softly.

Zaou spun around as soon as he heard he rifle go off. "Dammit! How come I couldn't here that b!tch come up." Growling he bolted towards the man with a ice staff forming in his hands. First, he cut off the rifle's nozzle, but not before being shot by it. Growling in pain, Zaou broke the staff and turned it into a sword. Then he broke the ice around Leon's feet. 

"Run boy!" he growled as he fought the man. "I will find you."

"....Don't hold your breath, jerk off,"  He smirekd and ran in the oposite direction.  He wasn't running however.  He didn't want to be a cowward.  He was limping too, which wasn't making things easier.  So he found the closest thign he could fins as a weapon, which was a small pole about half the size of his arm.  It was newly borken from the looks of it, and he could see where it had chipped off form.  It used to be a hand rail.

He cam bck to the scene just in time to see a guy with a handgun right behind the vampire.  He ran over as fast as his leg would provide and smacked him i nthe back of the head with it, knockign him unconcious.

"Now, running, would be childish!"  He growled, smacking the rod against the ground.

The vampire growled and slashed the man infront of him with the ice sword. But it got stuck in the mortal's breastbone and his blood was pooling below him. Zaou turned to Leon. "Running would save your life, boy," he growled. His eyes showed controlled bloodlust. Looking at the unconscious gunman at his feet, he crouched down and dug his fangs into the man's neck; quickly draining him of his blood.

Zaou soon stood up and his eyes stopped glowing. And his fangs retracted to look like normal teeth.

Zaou nodded and though for a second. His eyes were narrowed slightly as he looked at the two dead bodies. Then he flicked his wrist and the moisture in the air turned into ice as it covered the two males laying on the ground. Snapping his fingers, the ice broke and so did any remaning evidence.

"There," he said turning to Leon. "Better?"

Zaou turned towards the sound of a cellphone ring. "Who could it be?" he asked himself. His voice showed some curiousity, but he kept most of it masked.

"Why don't you answer it," he said to Leon.

Zaou watched the boy walk off and he looked tired. The vampire sighed and rubbed one of his temples. "Do you need a place to stay?" he asked. He was asking because the boy's house was probably over run with government agents looking for him.

"No.  I'm headign back to my house.  Unless they're lookign for me there..."  He then smirked.  "At least I'll die at home,"  He said, then picked up the phone.  It was the girl.  He rolled his eyes, stopepd then answered:

"Sheryl, how are you?"  He ansered

"I'm great, Leo!"  She said energetically.  "You, however, sound tired!  How aobut you coem to my place, let's have some lunch, I rented osme movies offa netflix, you can spend the nigth!"  She said enthusiastically. 

"Sorry, Sher...But, I kinda of have soem stuff to do."  She snorted.  "Oh, you always have an exuse whever I make a p*censored* at you!"  She whined.  "The last tiem you sprained your ankel, the time before that you had soem guy over to you house, your cousin or osmething And the time before that you went to a funeral, god, are you avoiding me?"  She continued.

"..No, Sheryl, it's just...I...I've been trying to explain somethign to you... But you always iether get the wrong impression, or cut me off."  He said rubbing the back of his head.  "..What, your datignj another girl?" 

"No, I'm not dating anyone, let alone a girl, it's just...."

There was another female voice form the phone callign Sherly's name. 

"Oh, commign mom!  Sorry, tlak later, bye~!"

Leon shut the phone, growling.  "..Ugh, kick the crap out of me, why don't you?" He said, putting the phone back in his pocket.

Zaou narrowed his eyes, but let Leon walk. Even though he was paid to keep Leon safe, he could tell that the boy just wanted to die. A soft snarl escaped his lips as he crossed his arms against his chest.

"I wish he could see the ugly side of human nature." His lips moved as he muttered to himself. "So full of bloodlust like an uncaged monster."

He didn't want to do this, he didn't evne bother lookign at the vampire.  But he wanted to live, a little bit on the inside.  To ifnd out what hapepend to his parents.

"Well?  Don't just stand there, are you commign or not?"
