Gardenia looked down at her now singed scales.
Hey, don't worry about it. What most people don't know about me is I am almost entirely made of rock.
She blew a puff of air at her arm, and the ash came off.

Drake gave a relived smile." I thought you would get mad and leave me alone..." he was trying not to sound pathetic. " Every other girl does." Drakes eyes sparkled when he talked to Gardenia. It was so easy to talk to her. Although he hasn't realized it, he was definitely in love with Gardenia.

Zara was tempted to go to the main base. She knew Trance would be there with him being the genral in all. She walk into the base in awe. Every dragon she ever dreamed of meeting. All legendary fighters. "Hey, weaklings aren't allowed here little girl" said one as they all joined in. "Im not little!!!" Zara shouted, but the next thing she knew, she was being pushed around by these jerks. 'wheres Trance when i need him?'

Hey, back off, she is with me.
Trance waded through a gaggle of dragons, finally stopping at Zara.
I have some important business to talk about with her.
He winked and smiled so only she could see, then whispered in her ear.
I know a great place to get huge, fat deer, I'm going to take you to the armor station so you can get your armor off, then I'll show you. The rations here are never enough.
As if to prove his point, someones stomach behind him growled.
Everyone, back off, she had a great war idea, and I need to take her to get her armor off then speak with her in my tent.
Trance flew off, and he heard wing beats behind him. He wasn't sure if they were Zara's, someone else might have followed him, but he didn't look back. He would find out soon enough.

I know how it feels. Though I may look small for a dragon, I am actually quite large for my breed standards. I was always awkward and I could never fly through trees, so people always laughed and made fun of me, called me stuff like Bumbling Betsy. It was really mean, I hated it so much.
She looked at the ground sheepishly. She never really told anyone this, and she wasn't sure why she was telling someone she just met.
Do you want to go to a duck pond nearby? I've been there, and no matter how many times I visit there are still hundreds of the awkward little things waddling around. They taste quite good too, I thought the feathers would make them taste quite funny when I first tried one. The best part is, it is a very large pond and no one has found it but me. It is like the world has closed it off so the rations managers don't find it and kill all of the cute little ducklings. That is my one rule if you follow me there: No eating the ducklings!
She walked off, hoping Drake would follow. She really liked him, but she couldn't quite put a finger on why.

Zara followed with relief. She was strong , but see thought she wouldn't stand a chance against the higher leveled fighters. before she left she looked back and stuck her tongue out at them. Zara couldn't stand men who underestimated girls. She would have to get back at them.

Drake was delighted that she wanted to spend time with him even though he could have hurt her. She seemed unfazed to his flames. He thought about how perfect they would be, as long as he couldn't hurt her.

Trance looked behind himself and saw Zara. She was very far behind.
If you don't fly faster people will start to wonder where we are.
He started to fly even faster than before, picking up an incredible speed of one hundred miles an hour. He was sure Zara could go this fast if she really tried. In a few minutes the armor area came into sight.
Here we are. Take off your armor as quickly as possible so we don't have to fly as fast on the way back.

Gardenia giggled. She hadn't been this happy in a few years. She had faked it many, many times, but she had never truly been happy. She smiled and ran faster. These trees were too dense to fly through, so they were forced to walk.
We are almost there. Come on!
She stepped into the clearing. It always made her suck in her breath from its beauty, and today was no exception. It was her little slice of untouched paradise. She walked over to the edge of the pond and just scooped a duck out of the water. Unfortunately, it had little babies following it.
Guess i can't eat you huh? Ok, I'll put you back.
She set the little awkward thing into the water, and it immediately swam to the other side of the pool.
Hey Drake, you coming?

"Sorry something has just been on my mind..." Zara had saw all the women dragons with eggs. She never thought of having a child but for some reason she felt left out. Zara took off her armor and sat down. She started to take a bite of deer when she just had to ask Trance. "Have you ever thought of having kids? OH! I mean like not with me, but with any one, not that i wouldn't I mean seriously.... I'm going to stop talking now... " she ate her deer as fast as she could

"Yeah i'm coming" he smiled. Drake picked up a large duck and swallowed it whole. "hey do you have a... um... boyfriend or something?" He tried to not stutter.

Trance smiled. These were the kind of things it was so awkward to talk about.
Actually, I have. The thought of little Trances running around amuses me greatly. I just haven't found anyone I have really clicked with yet. I would certainly like an egg or two. I'm not suggesting anything though.
His face blushed furiously. He was one of the only dragons that actually could blush it was a rare birth defect. He hunched over and took a large bite out of his deer.

She smiled at Drake. He was really sweet, and she had a feeling that he was really caring too.

Zara smiled. She was so happy she didn't screw anything up. She often did. And if she could blush, her face would be red as an apple. Zara ate a bit more deer and suggested to go back. Another war would start soon.

Drake looked at Gardenia and smiled. He had never had any one have a conversation with him like this let alone talk to him. "We should et back. A war will start soon and i don't want to get yelled at. I'm betting neither do you" he smiled.

We should get back, but go at different times. That way we don't arouse suspicion.
Trance flew off. He could already see the humans lining up for a battle. Did they ever give up.

Yeah, we should go. This was fun, we should do it again sometime.
Gardenia flew off. It really had been fun, but now she needed to put her armor on.

Zara put her armor back on as another war broke out in fight. The moment she stepped on the battle field, a flaming bolder hurled her way. She spun around and with a whip of her tail the bolder crumbled. "This will be another short battle."

Drake was overjoyed about Gardenia and pranced along the battle field. every time he accidentally hit a human he would say 'opps' or 'sorry!'. Most of the humans looked at him weirdly, because one, they don't understand a word he is saying. Then all the sudden chains and ropes swung over him pinning him down. Unfortunately they knocked him out so he couldn't fight back and while no one noticed he was dragged away and long gone.
Drake woke up in a dark cellar. "Where am I?"
((we could have them go on a journey in search of Drake?? With your permission of corse))

Trance lined everyone up for role call. He hadn't expected to have a dragon missing.
Drake. Where is Drake!
No one answered, but Gardenia gasped. He was gone? After all that, something had happened to him? The one dragon to go missing, and it was him?
I suppose we will have to have a search party for him. They couldn't possibly have killed him. Dismissed!
Trance walked over to Zara.
I have to go on the search party, and take a few dragons with me. Would you like to come?

"Yes I would. He is sorta a friend. We should take Gardenia with us too. Shes like his girlfriend or something." Zara said as she looked over at the worried Gardenia. 'This is my chance! I could totally win over Trance on this long journey!' Zara thought as she turned and smirked. "Shall we be headed off then?"

Sure, and i think Gardenia might be useful. She is impervious to fire.
Trance walked over to the trembling green dragon.

Zara and the others had taken flight for a while now. "So anyone know where the humans might be?" Zara said. "I think they might be over in the other side of the world. They would want to get as far away from us as possible." She beated her wings. "Yes, we can fly for quite a while but we will need to rest sooner or later."

I don't think that they would go that far. If you were that small, and you stole a full grown dragon, I would want to leave him as soon as possible. They most likely sold him to a black market or are planning on doing that. Almost everything on a dragon can be used for alchemy, and that is what they will most likely use him for.
Gardenia looked at the disbelieving stares coming from Trance. Sure she knew a lot about humans, but it wasn't that abnormal.
Oh, give it a rest. My only companion for the first half of my life was a human. She told me this kind of stuff so I wouldn't get captured. I think I also might know where the nearest black market is. It can't hurt to check there, I am pretty sure the only reason that they got Drake was he was unaware of the trouble he was in. Follow me.

Zara followed. She looked to the ground searching for humans. "Maybe he should just pay attention." She snarled. Trance obviously did not return Zara's feelings about him. At least thats what she thought. Zara thought this was going to be a life changing journey, and boy was she wrong. Suddenly she saw a bunch of dragons in a line, chained together, wounded, hungry. "Aren't those the nice little humans you were just talking about? God their all the same!" she would never, ever trust them. Her foot felt like a snake had just grabbed hold of it, until she was being yanked voilently. No, humans aren't this strong. As Zara looked down all she saw were dragons. 'No, it can't be!' she thought as the dragons attacked them from all sides.

Zara!
Trance had no idea what to do. He was surrounded by dragons, all of which were obviously to afraid to attack him, and Zara was being taken away. Gardenia had her own battle to fight, and surprisingly she was winning.
Come on Trance, these dragons are nothing. Just control them and send them after Zara's attackers...
Suddenly, all of the dragons flew off. He took the opportunity to chase Zara, and he was actually catching up. Ahead, there were big steel doors. That was obviously where they were taking her. He closed in right before they got into the building and tore one of the attacker's legs off. It howled in pain and dropped Zara. The other one let go too, and it was just him and Trance. Trance controlled the darkness in the dragon's body, and caused it to implode in on itself. He turned around to face Gardenia. She was doing well, but it looked like she was tiring. He zoomed at full speed to help her.

Gardenia had been fending off ten dragons that were bigger than her when a large black dragon came and smacked into three of them. She nodded approval at Trance and stabbed another two in the heart. The rest scampered off with their tails between their legs. They were obviously terrified.
Zara, are you ok?

"I'm fine. We should be worried about those guys. How did they get like this?" She asked wondering why they couldn't hold their own against those pesky humans. "Maybe we should check there first before going to that black market." Zara said looking at the large prison like structure. "He might be in there."

I don't know Zara, we might not be able to leave if we come out.
Gardenia looked at the everlasting darkness in the doorway. She had never particularly liked dark places, but if Drake might be in there, she had to take a chance.
You don't think that they know our secret weakness do you?
Gardenia wasn't even sure that Trance or Zara would know a dragon's secret weakness. She had stumbled across it once, and it was horrible. Absolutely, mind-blowingly horrible. She hoped she was the only dragon who knew about it. They would be some scared if they knew how common it was.

"Well i bet you there is a lab in there. Maybe, maybe not." Zara said as she approached the dark building. "If only we had another dragon who can make fire, then we could see. I can but my purple flames wouldn't make much light." She said as they felt there way trough. Zara saw a torch at the end of the coradoor. When they got to it, all she saw was a never ending hall of cells. None of them were drake though. They would see light in his cell. "Nothing. Sorry guys hes not here..." Zara looked to the ground.
