Miss Gardenia, I am not tired at all. You're back is actually quite comfortable, but I think Miss Zara might be tired. We should stop. Just tell them that I am tired, for her sake.

Kayla actually is tired, so I think we should stop. I think I saw a cave a few hundred yards ago.

Zara wasn't really fond of this girl. "ok but that girl does not sleep near me tonight." Zara said with a growl. Once she got settled in she could fall asleep. Her eyes were locked on the human. For some reason she couldn't fall asleep with that thing in the same room.

Gardenia curled up into a ball with a small hole in the center.
Little one, come in here.
Of course Miss Gardenia. I will feel much safer in their.
Kayla walked over to Gardenia and stepped into the hole. It was the perfect size for a human child, and it was quite comfortable. Once Kayla was in, Gardenia closed her wing over the hole, providing total darkness for the little child.
Good night Miss Gardenia.
Good night my little Kayla. You don't have to call me miss by the way. Just call me Gardenia.
They both shut their eyes and fell asleep.

Trance looked at Zara, who was looking at the human hatchling warily. He walked over to her.
Don't worry about Kayla. just go to sleep, I'll take the first watch. We wouldn't want anyone captured again.

"ok." Zara said and began to close her eyes. "But if that thing so much as touches me!" She began but was to tired to continue. Zara's Sleeping face was quite cute. She never really liked sleeping around people because of it.

Trance smiled at Zara and walked to the cave entrance. Even if he was taking the first watch, he would have to make it dark. He willed midnight to flow out of his nostrils, and the sky turned black. He soon saw the moon and stars paint a beautiful picture in the sky. He sighed as he thought of all the rumors he had heard as a small child. All the stories had said that when dragons died, they turned into what they controlled. So for Trance, looking at the stars had always made him think he was looking at all of his family and friends, twinkling happily above him.
After about an hour, his thoughts turned into a dull humming sound. He knew he was supposed to be watching, but it would be impossible for anyone to find them up here. He rested his head on his paws and fell asleep.

Zara woke up to Kayla standing in front of her. A crazed looked on her face. Gardenia and trance lied on the floor blood spread every were. Zara screamed. It was only a dream, and yet it felt so weirdly real. Which made her all the more untrusting towards Kayla.

Trance woke up with a start at Zara screaming, and he looked over at Gardenia to see the same had happened to her. Kayla poked her head out from under Gardenia's wing.
Zara, what's wrong? Are you okay? Are you hurt.
Trance was extremely confused he hadn't seen anyone in the cave, and Zara didn't look hurt. Maybe she had had a nightmare. He had had plenty of those in his time, and they were horrible.

Zara glared at Kayla. "I'm fine..." "Ill never trust her." Zara mumbled under her breath. "Just go back to sleep guys, it was just a stupid nightmare." She said. But she would never see Kayla the same. Every time she looked at her she saw those crazed eyes. Zara shook her head. 'its fine that brat could lay a finger on us if she tried... but Gardenia seems to trust her. That might not be good.' many thought raced through her head.

Gardenia soon heard soft breathing from under her wings. Kayla couldn't be all that bad. She seemed like a sweet child.

Finally it was morning. Zara blinked her eyes open and slowly got up. "So where are we headed?" She asked with a yawn.

I believe we are heading to the black market Gardenia was talking about. Are we still on track to get there?
Trance looked at Gardenia. He had obviously upset her from talking to Kayla.

She smiled and resumed her conversation with Kayla.
Are you well rested? Are you hungry?
I am rested perfectly Miss Gardenia. I am a little hungry, but I can wait a little while.

Okay, follow me guys.
Gardenia let Kayla crawl on her back, then flew off into the sunrise. The wind on her scales felt great.
We shouldn't be too far, maybe a hour of flying at most.

Trance looked behind his shoulder and nodded at Zara. He proceeded to take off, leaving the cave behind him. He was soon caught up with Gardenia, but Zara still wasn't there.
Zara, you have to fly faster or you will get lost!

"Two can play at this game!" Zara laughed as she raced passed Trance. "See you there!" she winked and zoomed up to Gardenia. "So how much farther?" Zara asked as they passed a small village.

Drake smaked his dry mouth waiting for the next meal. These meals were disgusting. He just wanted to see his only friends, but mostly Gardenia.

Probably another mile. We are almost there. I'm so tired from all this journeying, I can't wait till I reach home again.
Gardenia thought about how Drake might be waiting in a cell to be rescued. She had to keep going for him.

Or, it might be better, and we might have a way to get Kayla a loving family.
She smiled and thought of her plan. They would go there in "chains" and pretend to have been captured by Kayla's wit. They would get Drake, escape, and Kayla would be treated kindly because of her abilities. All would be perfect.
Are you up to that little one?

Gardenia cut off Trance.
Guys we are really close. We will have to put these fake muzzles around our necks and chains around our feet. They are made out of plastic, so we can easily break them, and escape. Let's hurry.
She landed on the ground and started quickly putting on the fake things. Trance landed next.
We have to get going soon, or we are going to have to wait the night.
