I stopped laughing just for a moment so I could see his face. "Nope!" I said, then continued laughing, barring my head on his fur to muffle the sound.

He could not stop himself from laughing. "Alright you win." He then began to laugh harder as he began to imagine all her different emotional states being more emotional than normal.

We sat and laughed for a while. I couldn't help it. After a while if faided, but bye that time at was already dark adn I was hungry again. "I need to go hunt..." I told him, getting up.

"Alright." He replied with a nod. "If you need me I will be at the cave." He then took off in the direction of the cave. Once there he laid down to await her return.

I ran off into the trees in search of food. I was about 10 minutes away from my prey when I cought the scent of Gorgons. I ran as fast as I could back ot the cave, not thinking that Devillin was there.

He stirred from his half sleep state as he heard someone approach. Someone who seemed to be in a hurry. He sat up, closed his eyes and listened. He recognized Jazz's foot falls, and noticed that she was being chased. His eyes snapped open and he charged out of the cave and in the direction of Jazz's approach. If she decided to fight those who were chasing her, then he would fight alongside her.

I darted past Devillin and into the cave. "Quickly!" I wisered to him. "Make sure ot to disturb the flowers coverign the entrance!" I said. Thanks to him I had no traps left.

He did as she asked without a word before slipping back inside the cave. He then sat there, eyes closed, listening.

I sat there, listening. They came so close to the entrance. I was worried Devillin might attack them. I knew he wasn't good at sitting still and waiting.

He did not move a muscle as he continued to sit there listening. His breathing slow and controlled. He knew he must not attack them for the sake of Jazz, and the possible baby she might be carrying.

The gorgons passed bye in time, and I let out a breath of relief. "It is all clear." I said, standing up.

I laughed lightly. "We better stay in here tonight." I said. "But, I do need food. I'll see you latter tonight?" I asked him, walking over to the entrance. "Oh!" I yelped, stumbling.
