He just stood there unmoving, not sure what just happened. -Why does she want me to stay away?- He wondered utterly confused. He sat down, still not moving from that spot, and just stared in the direction Keneth had taken Jazz.

Keneth walked outside slowly, stretching. He walked over to Devillin -who was
still sitting there after an hour or so- and said, "She is requesting
you." Then he turned slowly and walked back to the cave and into the room
I was in. My eyes intent, I watched my three cubs. My eyes flickered up to
Keneth.
“Is he coming?” I asked him, worried.
“He will be, even if it is not by choice.” He said,
indicating that he would make Devillin
come if he didn’t come on his own will.
“I’m sure that won’t be necessary, Keneth.” I told him, my
voice still full of worry.

-Why does she want me now? Especially after she made it so clear that she didn't...- He shook and stood, slowly walking over to the cave. When he entered he saw Jazz and the three pups. He smiled and walked over, bending to give Jazz a kiss. He then bent lower and nuzzled each pup.
(For canines it's pup (or puppy), for one, pups (or puppies), for more. for bears its cub(s) and for cats it's (kitten(s))

"Hey." I whispered, my voice low. I felt a pain near one of the pups and jumped a little. Keneth walked over slowly, making sure everything was okay. "I'm fine, Keneth. Just a little startling for the first few times. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually." I told him. He nodded, but didn't leave.
((I know. I was kinda brain dead earlier. XD))

"Well we all know that. I can't however say the same for myself..." I sat, grinning at Keneth. Keneth bursts out laughing just before I can.
"I'm surprised you still remember that, Jazz." Keneth says, referring to a joke years ago.
"Of course I do, Keneth." I tell him.

"An old joke." I told Devillin, still laughing lightly. "You wouldn't get it anyways. It can't be said in your tongue." I said. It was really his tongue, not mine. "Only 'native gorgon.'" I joked.

I watched Devillin for a little, my soft tail curled around my pups. I heard Keneth kneel down at my said. "Are you sure this is the one?" Keneth whispered in my ear, inaudible to anyone else.
"I'm sure, Keneth. He is the one I love. No one else." I told him. He nodded slightly, but not moving otherwise.

I lay there, watching Devillin with intent eyes. Nothing much happened, except I became more and more exhausted. Keneth must have noticed after a while.
"Come. Let the new mother take a rest." Keenth told Devillin. Keneth stood up, waiting for Devillin.
"No! Stay, Devillin, please?" I said. I didn't want him to leave. Not now, not ever.

He had stood up to follow Keneth, but when Jazz called out to him, he laid back down. He gave her a kiss before laying his head down on his forepaws. He two was finally feeling the affects of exhaustion, but it was do to his lack of sleep. His eyes soon closed and sleep swiftly overtook him.

I didn't go to sleep as he did. I stayed up and talked with Keneth; old jokes, hunts, and stuff like that.
"Remember that time when I accidentally pushed you into that well?" I said, laughing from a joke he had just told.
"I can't believe you remember that! It was... How long ago? Three hundred years?" He said, laughing. Before Devillin had woken up and I had given birth, I had regained all my memory of my previous life. Or more lives...
"Right about. I'm surprised you still remember!" I said, laughing even more.

He slept so soundly, that he did not hear or see what was going on around him. The pups where snuggled between him and Jazz. He dreamed of all the things he would do with the pups, and what he would teach them. A large smile formed on his lips.

"You better get some sleep, Jazz." Keneth told me.
"I've got to figure out what I want to name them, first." I told Keneth, looking down at the pups.
"Do you want some help?" Keneth asked me.
"Sure. I do already have one picked out, though." I told him.
"Well, what is it?" He asked me.
"Kit, after you, if you wouldn't mind..." I said. Keneth looked down as if blushing.
"I'd be honored." Keneth told me. My face lit up with joy as he said this. With a smile on my lips, I lay my head on Devillin and closed my eyes.
"I love you, father." And that was the last thing I said, as everything went black.

The following morning he woke and smiled, as he saw Jazz still sleeping along with the pups. He got up to go hunt for something for all of them to share.

I woke to the sun shining into the cave. "How...?" I asked myself before seeing the hole in the roof. Keneth must have done it. Devillin might have helped, but I was unsure. I looked around for any sign of Keneth or Devillin. Not seeing either, I called out frantically,
"Devillin? Devillin, where are you?!?" I was confused and scared, unlike I had ever been before. 'Devillin!" I almost screamed into the large and empty cave.

He came back carrying a large buck over his back. When he heard her calling out, he rushed over to her, still carrying the buck. He laid it down next to her as he asked, "Are you alright? You're not hurt are you? Is it the pups?" He looked her and the pups over but saw nothing wrong. He then tilted his head feeling a little confused.

I let out a sigh. "I'm fine. They are fine. Everything is fine." I whispered, leaning on him a little. "I was scared..." I said. Knowing this would probably confuse him further, I said, "It doesn't matter now. Just so long as you are here with me, and you never leave." I whispered to him.
