Arashi glanced at the rune-like markings as they passed, but he couldn't recognise them as belonging to any runic language he had even a passing familiarity with (not that there were many such), so he disregarded them. Assuming that Allora had already related to her team the information that she'd been given about them, Arashi didn't bother to introduce himself, instead simply nodding to each in acknowledgement of their introduction. He noted their weapons and garments with interest, his curiosity piqued when he saw that Cali possessed a wand similar to his own. "Being as this is our first day here, I doubt that we have the same level of expertise in that field as yourselves, but we can learn." He answered, deciding not to comment on the fact that the other wand had been pointed at them. In a place like this, such paranoia was merely common sense - his own wand had been ready in his hand, though he didn't know what precisely to do with it. At the very least, he could have used it as a stick. "It may interest you to know that I have with me a Pokemon capable of Aromatherapy - I offer this information as a gesture of good faith." He added, feeling the need to make the point that they were not merely baggage.

Jake watched as the two others were introduced by Allora, folding his arms across his chest in a casual way. Uncrossing his arms after hearing Arashi's words, Jake put one hand on the hilt of his sword and the other on the top of Spark's head. His little electric type sparked, shooting a short wave  of electricity up his arm and through his body, making his heart beat a bit faster and his hair stick up a little more. "Yes, I'm sure we can learn," Jake replied, backing Arashi up. He looked over the two others, taking note of their armor and looks. Cali's curly red hair matched her Charmeleon's red flames, and Jamie and his Ivysaur just seemed to fit together.

Jamie's words were encouraging, and Arashi hoped privately that there was more than simple optimism behind them. Cali's dismissive comment, and Allora's explanation, set him thinking about the others in this arena - were they really all students? He couldn't think of many who'd be so enthusiastic about the idea of joining up with the Rockets. Perhaps some of them had come from different circumstances. When Cali spoke up again, he nodded in agreement - he would not consider anyone actually eager to join Team Rocket to have a healthy mind.

As they walked, Arashi reflected that it was fortunate that they actually had some idea of where they were going now, but what he wasn't sure of was why this little group had decided to take them under their wing. There were many possible reasons he'd have to consider, not all of them good. Then again, there were plenty of positive reasons as well. He just hoped that the words 'meat shield' were not somehow involved. "Seeing as you raised the question regarding our capabilities, and thus seem to have an interest in our being battle-ready, would you be so kind as to elaborate on the use of this ob
ject?" Arashi asked, addressing Cali, wand in hand - but not pointed at her.

Jake ambled along near the end of the line. Speeding up his pace, he passed Gabriel, Jamie, and Cali and Arashi in deep conversation. Catching up to Allora, he held out his sword. "Do you think you can help me use this?" he asked cautiously, wondering if she was still angry about him challenging the ability to trust her in the cave. He hoped she was over it, but didn't want to overdo it and make himself seem like a burden to the group. Besides, hopefully he could get to know Allora better, for if they were to be working together, he wanted to know at least the basics of her herself.

Gabriel stepped forward after a bit, glancing down at his shield before looking back up at the group. Since Allora and Cali were already being asked thing, he figured he should ask Jamie about his shield.

Arashi carefully observed the wand that Cali held, noting the similarities in form to his own, and wondering about the meaning of the differences. The existence of the other two crystals in Cali's wand was puzzling to him, and his face was rumpled a little in contemplation as he considered the issue, until Cali clarified for him how those had gotten there. "So we get upgrades when we get new keys?" He mused aloud, pondering this. "I wonder how they manage that. Still, there are worse incentives to progress."

Direct my thoughts through it? That sounds like it's geared towards Psychic type. I wonder if there are any pre-existing conditions that need to be present in a user? Arashi wondered to himself, listening with a mixture of bafflement and intrigue. He'd read a number of studies by people trying to replicate Pokemon abilities with technology, but none had thus far involved something quite like this. I wonder whether the effects will me reminiscent of existing Pokemon moves?

When Cali mentioned practice, and that she would be willing to show him the ropes after they had paused, he smiled. "That sounds like a very practical idea." He agreed, nodding, and already looking forward to it. At least, he mused, there were some things about this place that weren't awful.

As he'd gotten his answer, he now kept an ear out for his friends' answers, as he was curious about their items as well. After all, it wouldn't hurt to know about them, would it? That thought drew him to a new query, so he piped up again. "If, for whatever reason, someone was unable to wield their item, could someone else do so, or are they linked directly to one user?"

Speaking up, for he had been very quiet asking Allora, Jake repeated his question, walking briskly beside the blonde haired girl. Spark nudged him, and Jake picked hi up and slung him over his soldier like a sack of flour, the little electric type grinning with pleasure and happiness at the sudden increase of height.

((I just got a job, and I'm taking summer classes in college. I'm trying to post as much as I can, but I don't know how often that could be. Thank you three for being patient. I will try to post a response on here as soon as I can, but the 1x1 role plays might have to be put on hold :( I hope you have enjoyed them, but I am going to be gone for 9 weeks in the summer, and we might need to wait until August 9th to get them started. I will attempt to post on this one as much as I can before I leave on June 1st. Thank you guys for trying this project with me, and by no means am I done with them. It's just that real life has gotten in the way, for now.))
