She looked up at the prince for a moment. Did he really just ask that? "As you wish, your majesty." She replied. She stood in the doorway for a second before stepping in. That's a lot less awkward now isn't it? She thought. She hoped he wouldn't mind the fact that she was...very uncomfortable with him. She didn't dislike him of course, she had hardly even met him. The fact that she was in the presence of a royal was very stressful to her. She didn't want to make any mistakes, for she's seen what happens to those who do make mistakes, and she didn't want to be put in that situation.
She felt awkward standing up. She had the urge to fiddle with her hair. That's usually what she did when she felt uncomfortable or nervous. It didn't really help, but it sometimes would distract her for a few seconds. Instead, she straightened out her apron. When she had finished it really didn't look like she had done anything. This was usually the point, pretend to actually do something, but really just avoid eye contact and uncomfortable situations.
Ooc; Still braindead. ; < ; Hopefully my next post will be longer. I don't want to jump ahead or anything. xD

{On phone so shortish.}
Vincent looked up at the girl as she walked into the room, taking the opportunity to examine her. Just like an average servant girl, though perhaps more attractive than most. He hadn't seen her before around before , but then again, he never saw any of the servants unless they were "assigned" to his room.
"What now, what now..." he muttered softly to himself, still tapping his fingers against his sheets. Now that he had someone in the room with his to satisfy his boredom, what WERE they going to do?
Now, instead of one bored person, there was going to be two,
He arched his back and stretched himself. "Name?" he asked her lazily, yawning quietly afterwards.

Ooc; Okies I'm finally back on my computer. xD
Genevieve gave a tiny smile. "My name is Genevieve." she said. She looked down at the floor for a moment. What exactly are we even going to do? She thought. It's not like I can really do anything... She looked up at the prince. She silently hoped he had in mind what they would be doing. Now that I think about it...there's really hardly anything I can do... She pondered. She hoped that she was actually allowed here. I guess if the Prince asked me to stay it's alright.
She looked around the room and let out a soft sigh. Running her fingers though her hair, Genevieve asked, "Is there anything you need? " Looking down at the floor once again, she said quietly, "I apologize, your majesty. I feel as if I am tarrying."

{Yesterday was my birthday so no time to sit down and reply. x3 Sorry. Also, it might be better to time-skip because to be honest I'm not sure what they're going to do. x3 I have a vague idea of what could happen later on. c8}
Vincent moved back into a cross-legged position to think. He was very indecisive about which position was most comfortable. Well, truth be told, he didn't know what they were going to do. Maybe this wasn't the best idea; he really didn't have anything in mind.
He bit his lip after her second comment. "No, no, don't apologize. I asked you to stay." He rested his chin on his fist and sighed. "Just... distract me. I have a very important meeting later this evening, and I need to get my mind off of some things." He ran his fingers through his hair and looked back up at her, waiting for some sort of reply.

{Haha I guess so. x3 I'm kinda confused too, and I'm the one who came up with the idea! xD Just imagine they they did something and have her go back to work (wherever is fine, downstairs works) and then he goes to his meeting and whateves. And then that's where my idea comes in. c8 Sorry for the confusion. x3}

Ooc; Okies. ^u^ Hopefully this is alright.
Genevieve went back down the stairs. The halls had people in them this time, so she made best to steer clear of them. When she reached the kitchen there was an argument between a servant and a cook, from what it looked like. Maybe I could find somewhere else to clean...She thought. Something went flying and hit the ground. She rolled her eyes. The servant stormed off and the cook muttered to himself. "Clean it up." he said gruffly before heading back into the kitchen. Genevieve fetched the wooden bucket, full of water and kneeled down on the ground.
Her job wasn't the most appealing to some, but after countless spills she had grown used to it, but no closer to actually "liking" it. She doubted anyone would like doing her job. She still scrubbed away at the spill, almost done now. She grabbed a dry rag and ran it back and forth along the ground. When she was finished drying she stood up and brushed the dirt and dust off of her apron. She placed the bucket back in the corner of the room and folded the dry rag up and placed it back on the handle of the bucket. She stretched quickly and sat down for a moment.
Ooc; Was braindead so I tried making stuff up on the spot, aha. xD

Vincent stormed upstairs and into his room, looking absolutely enraged. A few servants stopped him in the hallway, but he just shoved him aside and continued on his way. He got to his room, went inside, slammed the door shut and stood in the closed doorway, breathing hard and glaring at the closed door. He took a final deep breath, sat on his bed and buried his face in his hands, still breathing hard.
It took him a few moments to regain his cool. When he did, he lifted his head and fixed his gaze on the door again, trying to recall exactly what had just happened. The meeting with the other royals had gone well... at first. The couple asked for him to court their daughter, Violet, which he had been expecting. When he refused, his father demanded that they marry, which what was what made him angry. So, now, he was engaged to some girl he didn't even know and didn't have any other choice.
It took him a moment to decide what to do. He gave it a moment, then exited his room and thumped back down the stairs. On the way down, he quickly apologized to the servants he shoved aside on the way up.
He came into the kitchen, expecting this to be the first place most servants would go. The entire room fell silent the moment he entered. He never came into the kitchen unless it was for very serious business, as the servants usually just brought his food up to him.
"Is there a Genevieve here?" he asked, leaning against the door-frame and examining the room for the girl he had spoken to earlier. The entire room froze and looked toward the blonde girl scrubbing the floor, every single one of them knowing that if royalty came down to get you personally, you were in serious trouble.

Genevieve continued to clean the floor, briefly chatting with some of the other servants that had come into the kitchen, doing their own jobs. Another servant came to help her for a while until she left to do something else. Genevieve's fingers were starting to ache, but she ignored it. For a moment she thought she had heard something upstairs but she went back to work.
She continued to scrub the floor until she heard her name and looked up, wide eyed. What did I do? her mind whirled. Am I in trouble? Am I going to be executed? I just knew you shouldn't have gone upstairs, I told you. Maybe it's just something I need to do. Are you kidding? Royals will only come down here for something serious, not to hand out the orders. She stood up and brushed the dirt off of her apron. "Yes, your majesty?" she asked.

Vincent took a few steps into the kitchen toward Genevieve, the thudding sound of his boots the only noise in the room. "Follow me," he told her, his voice suggesting that he was serious and not in the mood to play any games. His tone wasn't hostile, so it was obvious that he wasn't angry with her.
He bent down to be slightly closer to her eye-level and assured her quietly, "You aren't in trouble. I'm not going to hurt you. We just need to talk." He held out his hand in an invitation to help her up, simply because he felt bad that she had to kneel down.

Ooc; Sorry for the delay! I didn't get on Tuesday and then it ate my post on Wednesday.
Genevieve took his hand and stood up. She brushed the dirt and dust off of her apron and swept back the loose pieces of hair sticking out. She could feel the eyes of the other servants starting into her. She didn't like it. They probably think I'm going to be executed. She thought. Well they can think what they want. I can't wait to see their faces when I come back.
Ooc; And this post is sort of a fail, sorry! ;o;

Vincent lead Genevieve back up the stairs and back into his room, immediately plopping himself down on his bed and burying his face in his hands the moment he entered the room. It took him a moment to think of what to say.
"I'm not entirely sure why I brought you here." He exhaled loudly. "I just... I'm currently facing a large problem and I'm not sure how to handle it. You were willing to talk to be earlier... I just need to figure out what to do." He looked up at her. "Will... will you help me?"
{Another fail oops sorry. P:}
