Asher breathed before cantering a circle and headed for the first jump. He never saw Xavier but he concentrated on his jumps. He finished the course quickly and clearly and slowed down and waited for the bell again. He had to jump the course and if he went clear he had to jump his jump-off immediately.
He heard the bell and picked up the canter and soaked over the jumps in record speed. He headed out the arena and cooled his horse down. 45 minutes went by and he warmed his horse up again, only trotting.
His name was called out and he walked to the arena and waited the bell. Once he heard it he cantered and jumped the first bell and turned around the corner sharply too jump the second jump quickly. He headed to 2b in two quick strides and stood up into 2-point position.
He finished the course and went out the arena. He saw Mr Green, "I turned to sharply." he said. Mr Green nodded, "It's okay. The first class went very well, this class went well." Asher smiled and dis-mounted and loosened the girth. He gave his horse some water and chatted to other riders. He looked at his watch to see he had a few minutes.
He jumped on his horse and trotted a bit and walked to the arena to jump his final class, the last class of the day. He entered the arena and jumped the course quite quickly. He had jumped the jumps clearly, so he got quite a few points. He headed to the 'joker' fence and jumped it clearly.
A polite clap went around the stands and he smiled. The joker fence had given him some points. He trotted to the stable where he took of the tack to let his horse rest for the 45 minutes. He let his horse much in the carrots and apples he had placed in the test box. He plaited the plaits again quickly, it took awhile.
He tacked up his horse and cleaned the dirty markings off himself, his horse and the tack. He rode to the arena and made it in time for the prize giving. He didn't listen to any of the other classes, "1st place for 80cm jump off goes to Asher Austin and his horse Falcon." He rode to the arena and got the prize before doing a lap of honor. He placed second in 90cm and 1st again in 1m accumulation. He did the lap of honor and went to the stables. He was tired, stinky and hungry.
He un-tacked his horse and cleaned the tack and put his horse in the paddock. He grabbed his sweats and ran to the dorm. Dumping it in the washing basket and throwing his boots and helmet in his cupboard.
He showered and changed into jeans and a red hoodie and combed his hair again. He left the bathroom and pinned his rosettes on his pin board. "How about we get some food?" he asked and looked at Xavier's face, "Human food? You asked me to help you, no deer." he said.

Xavier managed to watch Asher's two other rounds, and was highly impressed. He'd done very well, with only one slip that plummeted him down to second place. Still, it was impressive to get third place, let alone first.
Leaving Asher to his own business, Xavier flew to their dorm, gathered some stuff before showering. The water rolled lavishly down his back as it had before - he had to shower quickly, though, so he could congratulate Asher when he returned. Eventually, he had scrubbed himself down, put some shampoo and conditioner into his hair and stepped out of the shower. He decided on some different clothes to last time.
Xavier walked over to his bed and sat down. With a quick glance to the window, he spotted what looked like a wolf watching him; in a bl ink it was gone. He just shuddered and shrugged away the scene. He must really be craving meat.
In the end, Asher entered the room. Xavier congratulated him with a hearty tap on the shoulder, although Asher really wanted a shower, so he allowed him to. A few minutes later, he was out. Xavier gave another congratulations.
At the mention of food, Xavier thought of deer. Luckily, Asher hadn't seen him snarling. But what if he heard? He'd certainly spooked a few horses when he did so. Note to self: try not to snarl like a rabid wolf in public. "Yeah, you do need to help me... " He grumbled, scratching the back of his head as another snarl threatened to rise up his throat. He fought it back down, yet with great difficulty.
"Shall we have a salad? You know, that time I suggested it I did end out hunting... " Xavier suggested, smiling at Asher as he stood and stretched. "I have to admit, I haven't eaten once since yesterday... And I hunted that day. I'll need to get used to the taste of vegetables." He half joked, half meant seriously.
If he was to get over his craving, he needed to eat, no matter if he seemed hungry or not. If it really helped, Xavier could ask Asher if they could cook some rabbit instead of eating it raw. Same with deer. Wait - who ordinarily ate deer anyway? Maybe rabbit. Not deer. No raw food.

Asher nodded, "I'm not much of a meat guy. Bacon is basically the only meat I will eat." Asher explained. A boy that loves his meat and a boy that doesn't like his meat so much. Asher landed on his body and groaned as his limbs screamed.
"Oh, you know what I heard? There's a food and wine market in town. We could visit that, they will have a whole variety of things. Meats, pastry, sweet things, beer." he said and trailed off.
"I'm going to the market, sounds really nice. I have to go by car though, Toto needs a rest!" Asher said and laughed.

[At a crap WiFi hut o-o this post will probably be short]
Xavier stretched. "I've never even sipped alcahol." He mumbled to himself, so quiet it was almost unintelligible. "Okay. As long as you tell me how to drink beer - gingerly like wine or a bit faster?" The question sounded idiotic. In fact, it was; he'd just never really seem people drink harsh liquids. Maybe drunk and guzzling, but he didn't want to get drunk. At all.
"So, um, where is this market? I guess I'd love to try it out." Xavier admitted,. A sheepish grin was on his face before he knew it - but boy, he had to try it out.

Asher grabbed his keys, phone and wallet and headed to his car and waited for Xavier to get in before driving to the market. They arrived quickly an she struggled to find a parking spot. He found one near the entrance and parked before hopping out the car.
They headed into the busy market and he sighed, "Let's split up. You get some food, I'll get some food and we can share. I'll get beer and then we can split the bill when we get back!" Asher shouted and went to get some beer and got some lamb nachos and some fries and got them each a burger. For himself, beef patty, cheese, onion and gherkins. For Xavier, believe it or not, he had found a deer burger.
He met Xavier outside and they got a picnic table. "Believe it or not, there was deer burgers. I got you one!" he said and pushed the burger to him. He shared his food and placed in his phone the price of all the things he had bought.

Xavier agreed and rushed off to gather his own stuff. He was mostly unsure as to what Asher loved, so he bought a whole hoard of vegetables: tomatoes, parsley, salad dressing, chicken, cucumber, sweetcorn, small potatoes and lots more. He quickly paid, before returning to Asher. The scent of cooked - still warm - deer meat hit him straight on.
The scent, believe it or not, didn't particularly entice him. Xavier had been getting used to the mouth-watering flavour of it raw. Nonetheless, it was quite exciting. "Definitely deer meat. By the way, I bought salad stuff. Some paper plates, too." He states, handing Asher a paper plate and placing all the food items down. Along with Asher, Xavier checked up the price on his phone. It came to the cheap price of £13.89/$13.89.
He'd bought a lot of stuff for it to come up at that price.
Rather rudely, he snatched the burger and sniffed it. It was semi-raw... Xavier took a colossal, famished bite and allowed all the juices to flood his mouth. It was almost as good as it was raw; delicious. "Man, I never realized how hungry I was... " He mumbled between bites, forgetting all manors. It was down in about fifteen seconds.

Asher smiled and grimaced as he watched Xavier stuff his face. He grumbled and grabbed his own burger and finished it quickly he grabbed some vegetables and ate that fairly quickly.
He grabbed his beer and took a long sip. He hadn't had beer in a very long time and the taste was welcomed! He threw the bottle and paper plates into the bin and sat down again.
The afternoon went by quickly and more beers went past. He was okay to drive though. He waited for Xavier in his car before driving to the institute. He parked the car and went to his dorm and went straight to bed falling asleep quickly, thanks to the alcohol.

Soon enough, his salad was down too. Xavier tasted the beer as Asher did - it was delicious! It was down quite quickly, although he didn't feel the slightest bit tipsy.
Like Asher, more beer went down. The flavour played across his lips - seeming more lavish than before each time - until it was time to get back to the institute. Sad, really. Xavier stumbled up the steps to the institute, giggling to himself in his drunk state. Well crap, he was very drunk.
Eventually his dorm was there. Asher fell asleep, yet Xavier was too excited. He jumped on Asher on his hands and knees, singing about bubbles... When Asher woke up he leapt onto his own bed; Xavier sleeping as quickly as Asher had done before.

Asher pushed Xavier off and fell asleep again quickly.
The next morning, he woke up early and showered. Xavier had woken him up last night, so Asher changed quickly into jodhpurs, boots and a t-shirt. He jumped on Xavier until he woke up before darting out the door, shifting into a swallow and flying to the stables. He went into the stable, tacked up his horse and grabbed his helmet.
He rode to the arena and warmed his horse up before stretching. "What your plans for today?" Mr Green asked, leaning on the railing. "Just stretching, sir. I don't want him to be stiff. Later today, I might lunge him as well." Asher replied, Mr Green nodded in approval and left.
After stretching, Asher untacked and put on Toto's halter. He grabbed a lunge line and headed into the arena. He flicked the rope and let his horse widen the circle before going into a trot and canter and then slowing down and changing sides, repeating the same thing.
He finished off went to his dorm, showered and left to go and sit on the field to wait for Sophia.

He was woken abruptly by someone jumping on his bed: Asher. Xavier groaned and reached out to slap him, although by that time the boy was gone. Pay-back for last night.
The events of yesterday hit him abruptly. He'd got himself drunk! On his first drink! Well, the hangover better not last long. At least he could cling into the hope. Xavier could feel the foul feeling - and taste - of bile rising up his throat, so he leapt quickly out of bed and to the toilet. He violently threw up in the ob ject, the substance dripping from his lips. Revolting.
Xavier reached for a tissue, wetted it, wiped his mouth and sat with a jolt, leaning against the bathroom wall. His body felt tired and ill, like there was nothing left in his stomach. Again he heaved up more foul substance; again, and again, and again.
It felt like it wouldn't stop. Just as he felt okay again, he'd be sick. A price to pay for getting drunk, eh?
In the end, it came to a halt. Thank Lord for that! Clambering back into bed - don't forget the bucket - his attempt to sleep failed. Xavier's body seemed to be tricking him - he was so exhausted! Sleep just wouldn't come welcomingly.

[Never saw the alert! :((]
Sophia never came, so with a sigh, he got up and left. Asher headed to his dorm to see Xavier in bed and the smell wafting through the bathroom. "Dude, gross! Hangovers suck, eh? Tried to warn you, guess you didn't hear me." he said before leaving as the smell made him sick.
He hurried downstairs, "Hey Asher." Sophia called. He pretended not to hear and hurried out the door. He went to the stables and placed a halter onto Toto and jumped on. Kicking his horse into a rocking horse canter, he cantered to a field and jumped off.
He let his horse go and watched his gallop off before turning sharply and kicking up dust and cantered back to Asher. He chuckled and lay down on the grass. His horse ate the grass around him.
Asher was just thinking.

[Oh. x3 Don't worry!]
"Nope. Didn't hear you." Was all thag came out Xavier's mouth as he groaned further, flipping around in his discomfort. He was never, never drinking the likes of alcahol again. That was final.
In the end, he gave up on attempting to sleep, rushed to the toilet and flushed it. Afterwards he went to have a shower - wash the stench off himself, if he could. Stumbling into the shower, he clumsily bathed - remembering to scrub himself thoroughly - before dressing into fresh clothes and applying deodorant. Another quick vomiting managed to get it all over his clothes. Another clothe change and shower was done quickly.
Xavier was sure he'd never experienced something so horrible. Well, he'd spoken too soon; now his past had to creep up on him again?
At the thought, he realized something: he would write down the horrific events of his life and lock them somewhere. Literally lock them where nobody could get them. He would so so that, if he was having a bad day, he could read over his past and attempt a laugh. Maybe weep in his sorrow. Forcing the thought of weeping again hardened him, and he laughed to himself. No. He'd laugh over it.
Xavier composed himself and got out of the Institute, getting Amethyst ready and riding her to town so he could buy a safe.

Asher eventually got up and rode back to the the stables and put Toto in the stable. He walked into the school's library and walked into one of the backromms to see Sophia and a guy laughing with each other.
They were siting on a counter, she was leaning on him slightly. He frowned, "Do you do this often?" Asher asked out loud. Fists clenched at his sides. He watched Sophia whip her head to face his and a frown come onto her face. He watched tears gather into her eyes and he crossed his arms.
"Well?" he asked. "You've been busy. With Xavier, and you never saw me." she whined as tears slid down her face. "So, what were you doing instead of visiting me on the field? I had flowers, a card, chocolate. I was going to apologize." he whispered quietly. Her body shook as choked down sobs.
He sighed and looked at the uncomfortable guy sitting next to her. "Go on. Comfort her, she's not mine!" Asher roared. "Asher please!" Sophia whispered. "I don't want to hear it, you disgust me." he spat out at her. She sobbed.
Asher walked out calmly, he was fine. He didn't feel hurt, nor angry. He muttered to himself and headed to his dorm. He opened the window to let the stink leave the room and sprayed his deodorant around the room.
He ordered two pizzas and left the on in the microwave for Xavier when he came home. He slumped on his bed, wrinkled his nose and opened his laptop. Putting on a movie and ate his pizza.
When Xavier came into the room. "Pizza in the microwave." he mumbled. The movie had ended long ago and he was staring at a blank screen. He slammed the laptop shut and put it on his desk.
"I'm off to go and play soccer with some friends." he muttered and left the room with a soccer ball. He joined some friends and played a good game of soccer.

Xavier bought a heavy, concrete safe. It was only then he realized his horse wouldn't be able to carry it, so he asked the stable owner to take her back as he called for a cab. The grunts of effort followed when the time came to take the weighty ob ject up the steps to his and Asher's dorm.
Instead of being greeted by Asher, Xavier was shocked to find him staring blankly at his laptop screen: it, too, was blank and had finished a while ago. "Okay...?" He questioned before Asher left the room. Odd. He wasn't right, that was for sure. Why wasn't he his happy, boundful self? Instead he was acting like how Xavier used to; reserved, timid and aggressive. For Asher, excluding the aggressive. Xavier quickly gobbled the pizza - cold, just as he loved it - and got to work writing:
This is how my life was. It is only for me to read. If any is to find this, please do not read, although it is likely you will. Yet I warn you, it's not for the faint hearted or emotional.
It's around seven in the morning, and I am five years old. I have already been woken by the sound of my noisy 'siblings'. Siblings. No, not siblings: the people who I share this house with. I'm in an orphanage. Nobody knows why I'm here, and nobody cares. I'll have to get on like every other day.
I've always been quiet. Everyone thinks I'm weird. Although, today, some people have shown interest in adopting me. Guess I might have to go with them, or they won't take me - just like all the times recently. So, I go down to get breakfast, and there they are. No toast today, then, due to their early arrival. They greet me heartily, yet all I do is mumble a 'hi'. They already show signs of boredom. Our careworker - who I have forgotten the name of - gives me a deadly stare, so I give a meek smile and turn my back on all of them, and stride out. No buyers today.
"I'm sorry, he's too odd! We want a boundful five year old, not a shy boring one." I hear from the room. "Yes, many have said the same. He's annoying - quite ratty, really." Is the reply - I'm disgusted. Ratty. No more can I take before I sprint up to my room, sobbing in my misery. This is my first memory, and I shall not pause once more to explain anything to you. It will follow on like a story - a secret one, at that.
Xavier went on writing - and writing - until he'd finished every detail of his life so far, which took him a few good hours. Then, he locked them safely in his safe - a password along with a key to keep it secret. The safe was left beside his desk just as Asher walked in.

Asher finished quickly and walked to his room. He hurried into his room and into the bathroom to avoid conversation. He showered and changed into shorts and a shirt and jumped into bed.
He turned off his light and fell asleep before a word could have been said.

[Hope you have a good sleep then! :P]
Xavier was, again, surprised to find Asher wanting to avoid him. Whatever it was, he needed time to think about it. Grunting inwardly to himself, he suddenly thought: where is the key for the safe? He needed to lock it! He'd bought an awkward one whet you had to lock it up again with the key instead of it locking automatically.
Xavier paled in his hopelessness. Already, someone would be able to open the safe and read through the whole story of his life. That had taken three hours, and it better not have been for nothing!
Rushing around like a mad-man, the distressed shape-shifter scurried about everywhere. What if he'd left it on Asher's bed somehow? That would mean big trouble. Xavier still attempted to look everywhere, eyes flashing back to the safe now and again in a foolish hope that it would appear out of nowhere.
Out of the blue, he spotted a girl at the window. With a gun in her hand. A gun in her hand. It took Xavier a while to process it, but in time he nudged Asher awake, with him snarling at the girl. Shape-shifter or not, he wanted to let her know she wasn't welcome. Even in her fierce stance, she quivered slightly with a snide smile creeping up her face. She looked demonic - ragged clothes, a sneer on her face, a rabid glint in her eyes. Yet all the time,
she had her gun pointed firmly at Asher.

[I did. Crap day though.]
Asher shoved Xavier off and sensed something was wrong. He stiffened as he smelled gun powder, not good. He opened his eyes stiffly to see w gun pointed at him. He planned his moves in his head. The gun wasn't far away, he sighed b fore getting ready.
As quick as lightning he kicked his leg in the air and sent the gun flying, a gasp came from culprits mouth. He pulled her in through the window and jumped on her as she hit the floor hard. "Don't stand there. Get help!" Asher growled out to Xavier and sent him a sharp glare.
He smirked as the girl squirmed beneath him. She gave up quickly and he sighed as he watched police run up the stairs. He stood up and let them do their job. "Thank you. You saw what happened?" he asked. He shook his head, "He did. Why don't you come back in the morning when we are properly awake?" Asher asked.
The police nodded, "We can meet you outside the pizza shop in town at ten am?" Asher asked. They nodded and he fell asleep again quickly, making sure the door was locked and the window was locked with closed curtains.

Xavier watched Asher's move, a bullet flying close to both of them. Close. It didn't hit either of them. As Asher ordered him to get help, his eyes flashed yellow and he spat on the girl - resisting the urge to strike - before shouting for everyone around the Institute. Once that was sorted, he called the police.
"911/999, what's your emergency?" "A girl with a gun tried to shoot my friend. Location is the Falconis Shapeshifting Institute, at... " Xavier carried on. It wasn't long before the wail of sirens approached the Institute. Everyone but him and Asher were confused and unsure about the situation at hand.
Xavier rushed the police into the room where it had happened, where Asher was kneeling on the girl's back, her hands held firmly behind her. Asher leapt off and allowed the police to do their work. "Yeah... We're exceedingly tired. We'll meet you there tomorrow." Xavier told them efficiently, watching as Asher just fell asleep. He fell asleep? What on Earth? He himself surely couldn't sleep after that. Instead, he perched himself on the floor, glaring intently at the window; he was ready to pounce if he had to.

Asher woke up early and headed to the shower with clothes. He slammed the door and sighed as his shelves rattled. He showered, brushed his teeth and hair and put deodorant. He put his clothes on, jeans and a blue sweatshirt and some black shoes.
He grabbed his wallet and phone and put that in his pocket. "I'll see you in town." he mumbled to Xavier. He headed out the door and ran to the stables. He saddled up and clicked his horse on and cantered to town. He unsaddled and put his horse in a stable and went to the pizza shop. His stomach grumbled and sat by the police and offered them pizza, he bought a plain one and one with avo, feta and olives.
They helped themselves, "Just waiting for my friend." he said. Xavier walked in and he shifted over for him to sit. "So," the police started. "Xavier?" Asher said. He helped himself to another piece of pizza.

Xavier was already awake - he hadn't been awake all night, because he'd fallen asleep some time during his guarding, but the sleep hadn't been enough.
He jogged down the stairs - the fresh air waking him up - as he ran outside, tacking up Amethyst and riding her to the stables. There, he untacked, ran to the pizza place and met Asher with the police. He sat down beside his friend, and got caught in thought. "Uh... Yeah?" Xavier mumbled, his senses awakened again as he blushed. "Um, sorry. I'll explain.
"Okay. So, I was searching for a key. I still haven't found it. Just remembered that... Anyway, that's what I was doing. I was searching everywhere - it was just lucky I was awake - and I spotted her at the windos. She had a horrible grimace on her face; it really was chilling. Neither of us had seen her before, I'm guessing. "She just sat there, her gun pointed at Asher. Of course I didn't just let it go! I snarled at her. Yes, literally snarled, I'm sorry, and woke Asher up. He cunningly got ready to strike. So he did.
It was quite a clever manoeuvre, really, because he dared to fling the gun out of her hand and she was caught unawares. That's when he got her down, ordered me to call for help, left me running down corridors shouting for people to wake up before I called you; the police."
Xavier didn't leave out even the smallest detail. He wanted them to have as much information as possible so they could fit pieces together and figure out what was going on. The thought of Asher getting shot made another growl rise up his throat, and his eyes glow yellow again.
