Asher nodded as the police thanked them and got up and hurried to the stables. He cantered off, not waiting for Xavier. He had waves of emotions, from Sophia and the gun. He cantered to a field and untacked his horse and set him free. "Stay close." he whispered. He snorted and lay down on the grass.
He heard the horse beats of a canter and he opened his eyes slightly, the sun blinded him so he closed them again. He wasn't sure if it was Xavier, or somebody off. A person with a gun, maybe Sophia. He got up and quickly to see a person, but not a person with a gun.
He flopped down on the ground in relief and let tears stream down his face. He had bottled up emotions for a long time now, he needed to let them go. He sobbed and tried to calm himself down as he had a panic attack. His brain told him to slow down, but he kept taking short breaths.
He closed his eyes and breathed, imagining a person breathing slowly. He was still crying once he calmed himself down, but the short panic attack was over.

Xavier allowed Asher to go. Something was clearly wrong, and it seemed he needed some space. After about five minutes, he decided he'd go down the track at a steady canter.
He went down the road slowly, only to see Asher standing in a field; shocked. Any relief that Xavier monetarily saw was gone almost instantly, broken by sobs and tears streaming down his friend's cheeks. It made his heart break. He never wanted a friend to be like this, yet he didn't find it his place to intervene. Although... he needed to ensure his friend was safe!
Untacking Amethyst and tying her to a tree, he shifted into his horse and indicated that Amethyst should stay quiet. She obeyed without the slightest sign of objection.
Xavier knew Asher hadn't seen his horse form before, so if he did unluckily realize him, there would be no recognition. He'd probably look like a wild horse, with the only suspicion being the scar forever engraved on his back. He leant forward and still watched his friend, just one eye peeking out from behind the bushes that provided his protection. The flies attacked his ears and eyes. He almost - almost - snorted in his resent and annoyance, yet held back and wished his mane about instead. Xavier's head tossed back and forth as his ears swivelled madly in the attempt to rid them. In the end, his face ended up being rubbed up against the bark of a tree.

[I know, we are only an hour apart though. I have a project due for tomorrow and I don't have all the parts. :/ I get a part tomorrow because there weren't any in any shops! I'm not supposed to be on here, oops?]
Asher calmed himself down, relieved he didn't have another panic attack. "Toto." he called, his voice quivering. His horse galloped to him and Asher tacked him up and rode him back and put Toto in the paddock. He was walking to his dorm to see Sophia talking to her friends. "Asher?" she called grabbing his arm. He stiffened and turned around to her.
"Leave me alone." he hissed. "Asher." she whispered. He said a few mean things, which he shall not repeat, and sighed. "Oi, you can't talk to her like that!" one of her friends shouted. "Do you know what she did to me?" he shouted back. They shook their heads.
"That's what I thought." he said, before stomping over to them. "Asher, don't you dare tell them!" Sophia shouted, stomping after him. "She snuggled up all nice and cosy to another guy because I didn't see her in two days because I was a little busy." he grumbled. "Soph?" one girl whispered. 'Soph' lowered her head, the girls sighed before leaving the two of them alone.
"Great, just great! They left me alone with, you." he sneered. He watched tears fall from her eyes, he didn't feel sorry. "One more chance." she sobbed. "I don't give people second chances." he shouted. "You gave Xavier one!" she shouted. "This isn't about Xavier, it's about us!" Asher yelled, furious.
Everybody stopped to look at him. "I know something about Xavier that you don't." he whispered, gripping her arm hard as she turned to leave. "Asher, your hurting me." she whispered. "I don't care right now. Leave Xavier out of this, and never talk to me again!" he shouted. He shoved her away and walked away, his head held high.
He walked to his dorm and slammed it shut and headed to his bathroom to take a shower, slamming the bathroom door shut as well. He sighed and showered yesterday. He needed a distraction right now, and he needed to tell Xavier. He grabbed his pillow to see a key. He left on top of the safe and looked at it curiously.
Found the key, I think. I promise I won't look in you safe. You probably know by now, but I need to talk to you. Asher texted and waited on his bed.

Don't go wasting time on me! XD] When Asher left, Xavier was left dumbfounded... nevermind, then. He trotted into the field, calling Amethyst after him. He reared up in her face; she reared back. A snort left Xavier and he pranced about, leaping back and fourth with the often buck or bronk.
Amethyst joined in, a playful glint to her eye as she chased Xavier. A few minutes passed - he laughed and shifted back, running up to Amethyst and taking her saddle off. With a grunt of effort, it took him a few goes before he actually managed to mount her. Stretching his legs and doing a few excersises, he eventually got her to a canter. In his mind, she could imagine her smiling - smiling? Really, Xavier? He scolded himself and dismounted. As soon as he did so, he got a message. At that very moment all his playfulness went.
If he had found the key, he better get back quickly: anyone could get in there! On the other hand, what worried him most was Asher's last four words: we need to talk. Xavier placed his steed's saddle back on, mounted her and galloped off down a flat trail.
In a hurry, all he did was take Amethyst's saddle off, pulled her reins over her head and left her in the field. Then he went for he and Asher's dorm. He sprinted in there, grabbed the key and then snatched the papers out of his safe. He checked it hadn't been disturbed - luckily, none of it had. He put the papers back in there and locked it, keeping the key firmly clasped between his two hands.
"Sorry about that... " Xavier mumbled, sitting on his bed and facing Asher. "We do need to talk... I can see something's been troubling you. I would say spot it out, but it doesn't seem like that kind of a thing... t-take your time... "

[Our school is different. Start in Jan, Easter holidays. Then big June-July holidays and then big December-January holidays.]
Asher watched Xavier hurry around. "I promised I wouldn't look." he sighed. "Sophia and I broke up. I found her in the library snuggling up with a guy. She blamed me for not seeing her in the two days that I have been busy. Then she tried to apologize and I shouted at her and told her friends and they left. Then she asked for a second chance and I said no. She said that I gave you a second chance and I said Xavier has nothing to do with this and then I left."
Asher said quickly, leaving out many parts. He was surprised how openly he told it. "But never mind about me. I need to get a book from the library." he ran out and raced to the library, he wasn't sure why.

[Oh Okay x3 We have a couple of short breaks, then one large one over the summer.]
Xavier was about to give a 'good on you, man' and curse over the girl, yet he just left for 'the library'. Whatever he was going, again, he needed time alone.
He considered reading his papers again - no. Not now, and he promised himself he'd only ever read them after he'd told Asher. That way is friend wouldn't be itching with curiosity every time he picked the up.
I'm sorry I haven't told you about the papers. I just... Can't, and I really want to tell you. I can't muster the courage. I'm sorry.
If you just need time alone, tell me. I'll understand.
Xavier texted Asher - Normally when people say they understand, it's because they think they do. Yet he really did understand, and he smiled at the thought.

[Sorry, lots of things going on.]
Asher stopped mid-pace as he heard a cry come from somewhere in the forest. It wasn't human, maybe an animal? His curiosity got the better of him and ran into the forest. He peered into the trees to see nothing. The trees were half full, as fall was upon them.
He looked around again to hear a soft meow, his head snapped up and he saw a kitten hanging on a low branch by the scruff of it's neck. Asher just couldn't reach so he jumped and grabbed onto the branch. The branch shook and the kitten let out a terrified meow.
Asher calmed the kitten before swinging up onto the branch and creeping forward. He reached out and grabbed the branch to see some blood on the kitten's scruff, he would have to go to the vet.
He jumped off from the branch and wrapped the kitten in his jumper. The small ginger cat looked up, it's green eyes softening. He hurried to his car, as it was cold.
He placed the kitten wrapped in the jumper and placed it onto the passenger seat. He put on the heater and the kit meowed and Asher smiled. He drove to the vet which was fairly close and waited.
He passed the kitten to the vet. "What happened?" he asked. "I found the kit hanging by the scruff of it's neck on a tree." he explained. "We need more people like you." the vet said and smiled kindly.
"Could I pick the kit up later? I need to arrange something with the school to see if I can keep the kitten." Asher asked. "Yeah, sure. Leave your details to the receptionist and we'll call you."
Asher nodded and gave his number to the receptionist and he hurried off. He drove to the institute and hurried to the headmaster's office, just to make sure. "Sir, I found a kitten and would like to know if it's okay to keep the kit." Asher asked. "Your responsibility." the headmaster muttered without looking up.
Asher walked out and went to the vet as soon as he was called. He smiled at the kitten. "He's fine now. You got a healthy little guy." the vet smiled. Asher smiled back, "What stuff do I need to get?" Asher asked. The vet helped pick out some cat food, bowls, a few toys, a small bed, a litter box and some litter.
He drove his kit home and decided on a name, Autumn. It was fall, Autumn. Why not? He went into his dorm, "I got myself a cat." Asher said. "Rescued him from a tree. Headmaster said it was fine, you okay with it?" Asher asked. He went into his bathroom to set out the litter tray and food bowls.
He filled the bowls with food and water and showed his kitten the food, water and bathroom. Then placed the bed by his desk and showed the kit that before scattering the toys in the bed and placing the kit on his lap on the bed.
"His name is Autumn." Asher muttered and stroked the kitten, who purred away.

Xavier lay on his bed, flicking through photos on his phone. His phone was very old now - he still had photos from the Orphanage on there. Horrific times, hey? He deleted all the photos he didn't like - only one he kept, who was a picture of his friend who had been called Marissa. She and him had never really talked, but the bond between them had still been there.
Smiling at the thought, he placed his phone down. Asher was at the door, with a kitten in hand. Xavier stood immediately; his eyes lit up with happiness. He'd always wanted a kitten - well, this one wasn't particularly his - and now he would probably act like an over-motherly she-cat.
Knowing that Asher was sorting the kit out, Xavier allowed him until the kitten was up on his lap. Then - gingerly - he sat down beside Asher, slowly moving his hand in front of the kittens nose so he could smell him. "Autumn. Beautiful name." Xavier whispered as not to alarm the kit. He seemed so young - was he even weaned?
"Hey, do you know if he's been weaned yet?" He asked calmly, rubbing his finger under the kitten's chin.

Asher placed the cat on Xavier's lap and shook his head, "I think he is weaned because the vet didn't say anything. He looks like he isn't, but we don't know how long he has been alone for." Asher said.
He went to the bathroom and washed his hands and opened the door, too chuckle when his kit landed on the ground. He pulled out his phone and took a picture quickly and smiled.
He glanced at the safe and looked away quickly, Xavier would tell him in his own time. "Maybe you could get a kitten? I mean, I don't mind sharing but I see you like cats and then Autumn wouldn't have to be alone while we are in class, since tomorrow is Monday." Asher said.
He waited for Xavier's answer, "I can drive us, unless you want to drive or go alone..." Asher said while trailing off.

Xavier smiled when Asher left the room, pecking the cat's head lightly. It squirmed slightly - to Xavier's dismay - but was fine once it had leapt onto the floor. When Asher glanced at his safe, he felt the colour rise inro his cheeks. He felt ashamed for bbynot being able to tell Asher, but everyone had their secrets, and Xavier had probably made the will to know his secret bubble further over the top.
"A kitten! Yeah... I'd probably get a rescue cat - probably like yours - but an adult. Maybe we should wait until Autumn is older so he won't annoy whatever cat I get? Kittens are right crap-stirrers when it comes to the older ones. Not that I'm complaining.
He joked, listening at Asher's idea. Maybe it would be better if he went to a shelter now and got a cat, no matter if it found the kitten annoying at first.
"Um... Could you drive? It would nice to have company." Xavier asked. The journey might be awkward, but if it was, then they'd know they'd have to sort out a few things.

[Haha! I got braces so I haven't been on really 'cos I take so long to eat!!]
Asher nodded grabbed his keys and Autumn and jumped into his car. He let the kit cuddle on his lap to fall asleep. They arrived fairly quickly and Asher stroked his cat. He huddled te cat into his jumped. "I'll wait here while you go look." Asher said.
Asher quickly grabbed bowls, collar, litter box and litter, a bed, food and some toys. He paid for that and the adoption fee, "Don't tell him." Asher said, glancing at the door. The lady smiled and nodded. He gave the kit to her to hold while he grabbed the bags and shoved it into the boot of his car.
He ran inside and grabbed his kit and smiled at Xavier walked out. "Found one?" he asked.

[You...! XD I'm quite lucky because I don't need braces. Hope it gets better! :P]
Xavier grinned once he was at the adoption house. He rushed in like an excited little girl, got permission to see the cats and walked calmly in. All around him cats were meowing - he laughed at them, stroking a few. He had to admit - they were cute. But none of them seemed to catch his eye.
Nearly giving up hope as he neared the end of the hallway, he spotted a three year old Bengal staring at him from the back of its enclosure. It wasn't a cat that lo bed being stroked or being around people, but Xavier knew that this was the cat he'd be taking to the institute.
Anyway, what was a pedigree cat doing here? Normally pedigrees would be taken almost immediately. Maybe it was this cat's tedious behaviour.
Xavier sat down in front of the cat's enclosure, just scanning his blue eyes over its green ones. It seemed cheesy, yes, but he'd fallen in love with this cat almost immediately. Realising that he'd have to get it now, or it would be never, he asked the attendant about her once he'd walked back through to the desk.
"Ah, she's a Bengal, three years old, called Ice. She's very active and will try to avoid anyone at all costs, but will come in for food. Why are you so interested?" "I'd love to adopt her." Xavier replied; to the shock of the lady. "Okay, but you need to fill out this form." Xavier happily did so - filling his phone number, about conditions, how many other people/cats she's be living with and so on. "She'll have lots of space to move about. A lot." He added in once he'd given her the form back. "If you'd like to take her now, you'd need a cat-carrier. Would you like to buy one from us?" She asked, smiling.
"If that's not a problem." Xavier ended out buying a light-grey carrier with a baby-blue, barred hatch. "Thank you! Shall I go and get her?" She questioned again, earning a nod from Xavier. A few minutes later the woman was back with her in the carrier. "Sorry! She hates carriers. Here you go." Happily taking the carrier, he held it behind his back as he walked out.
"Yes... "Xavier replied with a giddy smile to Asher, revealing the cat. She was sitting the same way she had been in enclosure, staring intently at Asher.
[Lol I went to a shelter once, and I guess that was the bengal I saw there. I don't know if it was a girlkr a boy, or what the cat's name was, but I really did love her :3]

[They just stopped being sore this morning and then some girl threw a ball onto my braces. We had sport inter-house thing today. Such a waste! 2 teams, the other team has almost double us. Ah, I've gone to a shelter twice. Always go to the shelter for cats. Only one cat we didn't get, it was 3 kits in a box next to a busy road. Got it from a friend.]
Asher smiled, "I bought some stuff the cat will need, did the adoption fee. Don't pay back." Asher warned and looked at the cat. "Name?" Asher asked. He went to the car, carrying his kitten in his arms, and hopped in. He drove to the institute and helped Xavier carry bags and sat on his bed playing with Autumn while Xavier packed the stuff out.
Xavier would probably put most of his stuff in his own bathroom, there were two bathrooms in a dorm which was nice. Asher opened the window and peeked out, it wasn't too high but Autumn probably couldn't jump up yet.
Asher stiffened as he watched Autumn peek outside but was relieved when the small kit immediately slipped back inside. He patted Autumn's head and turned to Xavier, "Want to go out for pizza?" Asher asked as he watched Xavier's curious cat peek out the window.

[That girls a... Nvm x3 Aww I want some kittens, but our cat cannot stand people she doesn't know, or other cats. She was a rescue cat, too. Are rescue cats free where you are? :0]
Xavier was shocked. He'd payed? Wow! "I could hug you right now! Her name is Ice, by the way. Three years old and hates everything pretty much." Xavier grumbled, snorting with laughter. With the help of Asher, he carried everything into their dorm. "Hopefully Ice won't get restless. She needs a lot of space to run around, but she'll have to stay here to get to know where we are." He stated once everything was in the room. As Asher had guessed, everything was put in his own bathroom.
"Okay, so I think the maximum Ice can stay in for is five days, considering the fact she'd get too restless." Xavier furthermore murmured, rushing about.
"Yup. Pizza." As soon as Xavier realized what his cat was doing, he froze. She'd be able to jump that space, but leaping and grabbing her wouldn't do. She'd get lost somewhere, for sure. Quickly coming up with something, he grabbed a cat-treat packet and began shaking it about, hoping Ice would take the bait.

Asher watched Ice look at Xavier shaking the packet. While Ice was distracted, Asher grabbed the cat and placed her on the bed. Earning a meow in surprise and Asher closed the window quickly.
He petter Autumn and closed him in the bathroom with his bed. "So Ice has some more space." Asher explained. He grabbed his keys, phone and wallet and went downstairs. "Horses or car?" Asher asked as he put out his hand.
Water dropped onto his hand, it would rain harder soon.

Xavier let out a sigh of relief and watched as Ice decided on hissing at them. He opened his bathroom door and allowed Ice to wander in and out, while he mumbled his thanks to Asher She'd probably want to be the Queen of the place whilst she was still stuck inside 24/7.
Xavier followed his friend outside, watching as droplets slowly dripped everywhere. "Car, I guess. Don't want our horses to get too wet. Ride them tomorrow, then?" He replied. "Should I get my keys, or should I drive your car? You've been doing everything for me, so I guess it's my turn. I'm paying for the pizza. No buts!"

Asher smiled, "I'll drive." he said. He hopped into his car and drive to a different pizzeria. He had a friend there, a girl he had a crush on in the summer before school.
He got out and walked in. "Asher!" a voice boomed, his uncle. "Uncle Henry." Asher smile and hugged his uncle. "What brought you here?" he asked. "I brought my friend, Xavier. Xavier, this is my uncle Henry. He owns this pizza shop." Asher explained. Henry smiled warmly, "Sit." he said and led them to a table. "Bring Aerial out?" Asher asked. His uncle smiled and winked before heading out.
"Aerial, there are people at table six. Menu's please!" Henry shouted. A brown haired girl with green eyes walked out. This wasn't Aerial, a girl that had dull eyes and greasy hair. She brought the menus and walked off.
"Excuse me." Asher said and hopped out his chair. "Go inside." his uncle said and shook his head. "Aerial?" Asher called. "I'll be out now." she called. Asher walked out.
He jumped up as the door opened and there stood his Aerial. "Can I help you?" she asked, an eyebrow raised. "It's Asher." Henry mumbled through his pizza stuffed mouth.
A squeak came out her mouth before she was running. Asher smiled and catched her as she leapt. They twirled around before Asher placed her on the floor. He kissed her cheek and she blushed.
He sat down and pulled a chair next to him. She sat down and grabbed his hand under the table. "Aerial, this is my mate from school Xavier. Xavier, this is a friend from my old school. She is one." he said about a shapeshifter. She nodded and smiled. "Well, what can I get you?" she asked.
They ordered and Asher ate quickly. Xavier paid, as he said he would, and they left. Asher invited Aerial with and she agreed. "Bye Uncle Hector, will come visit soon." Asher shouted. Aerial jumped into the backseat and Asher drive back.
Aerial went to a normal high school but would be transferring soon. He tossed his keys to Xavier before dragging Aerial away. Xavier would understand. Asher gave Aerial a horse to tack-up, after confirming with the riding instructor, and tacked up his own.
They mounted and kicked their horses into a canter and cantered away. After awhile they pulled up into a field and tied the horses to a tree before flopping on the grass.
"How's things going?" Asher asked curiously, shyly taking her hand. "Good, I'm arriving tomorrow and starting Tuesday." she said. Asher smiled, "Any girls?" she asked. "Broke up, cheated on me." he mumbled. "I will beat her. You deserve someone that will be good to you." she said.
It meant something else to Asher. Her head was on his chest and rain was patting. "We better go, I'll drive you home." he said. She squeezed his hand and they got up and rode back. He went to his dorm and grabbed his keys and drove her home.
"Bye Aerial." he said. She kissed his cheek and hurried into her mother's arms. She was shouting so Asher got out and hurried over. "Mrs Benson, I'm sorry. It's my fault, I saw her at Uncle's pizza shop and we hung out and went for a ride and it went a bit long." Asher apologized.
"Asher darling!" she smiled and hugged him. "That's okay dear, I trust you." she said. Mr Benson walked out quickly, "I heard a male voice and it's late. He better have a good explanation." Mr Benson said. "It's Asher." Mrs Benson shouted. Asher shook hands and apologized, which was fine because they trusted him, and left.
He went home, showered and jumped into bed with Autumn curled under the duvet with Asher. "I've missed Aerial. We were close. I had a little crush on her." Asher admitted to Xavier. He couldn't see if Xavier was going to say something, but if he was he was cut off. "Uncle Hector?" Asher asked. "Asher. We're low on staff and Aerial works here, would you like to work here?" Hector asked. "Sure, maybe my friend will as well. I'll phone you tomorrow." he said.
He would tell Xavier tomorrow, he waited to see if Xavier would say anything about what he had admitted.

[Hehe Ikr! Don't worry - I ship Asher and Aerial so much xD]
Xavier was surprised when this Henry guy came over, but he still gave the man a friendly smile. At least he didn't snarl at anyone anymore.
Being Aerial out? What did he mean? Either way, this lady friend of Asher's didn't come. Maybe she was left fan-girling over Asher... Nope. Don't think like that! She was probably busy with someone else. The girl who did come to them curtly gave them their menus and walked off.
When Asher called out again and was told to go inside, Xavier took the chance of following him. In this situation, he was generally confused, though amused all the same. Rushing after Asher in the wild goose chase, he figured the girl who leapt on his frown was this Aerial girl. When they twirled, Xavier raised his eyebrow to her. She just looked back with a slight smirk. Again, he followed Asher to the table and sat down opposite the couple, greeting the girl after their introduction.
"Big scary monsters, we are." Xavier agreed, chuckling darkly. Asher ran off with Aerial soon after the meal, leaving Xavier with the keys. Time to play with Autumn when he got back. He opened the car, got in, did all the car business he needed to and set off. He struggled to feign the smile prying his lips up as he thought how perfect Asher and Aerial were. Way better than that cheap cheat he'd picked up before.
He was back to the Institute. Parking up Asher's car, shifting and flying back through the window, he landed and shifted bacj again. There he opened the bathroom door to let the playful kitten out whilst his own cat glared daggers at him from on top of his safe.
For about an hour before Asher arrived back, Xavier played with the kitten. By the end it was exhausted and hungry. There he fed both of the cats, smiling as Asher stepped back in.
Before he had time to greet his friend, Asher was into the shower. Well, Xavier himself would have to shower in the morning. Checking the kitten was out of the bathroom, he gingerly picked the fur-ball up and placed him on Asher's bed, where he curled up in a ball, on the verge of sleep. Eventually Asher was back in. When a call was made, Xavier opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off. Asher didn't seem to want to talk about that.
Xavier grinned mischievously, twirling the air above his shoulder and blowing Asher a kiss. "You two are perfect!" He purred, before raising his voice an octave. "Oh, Asher! I love you so much, Wil you stay with me forever?"
The words were out before he could react, and he was left chuckling to himself again. Xavier waited for Asher's reaction, but if he'd tried anything, hee cut in, "Wait, you said had. You mean, you have a crush on her, right? Come on, you two are like two peas in a pod."

Asher laughed before catching the kiss and placing it on his heart, "Oh, the things to do to me!" he sighed, flopping down and placing his hand on his forehead and fanned himself.
He shrugged, "I don't know. Had a crush on her, nothing happened and I gave up." he said simply. He scratched his kitten under the chin and slumped. "My uncle wants to know if we want to work at his pizza restaurant? I want to." Asher said.
He wanted to change the subject, he needed to. Aerial was a touchy subject. Of course Asher had a crush on her, but it was too soon. He didn't need Xavier, or Aerial, to know about this crush. It's like a soppy fourteen year old crush.
His eyes grew heavy but he kept them open. "Aerial and I, dating?" he mumbled a bit too loudly and met Xavier's eyes as he said that. "She's moving into one of the dorms tomorrow, starting on Tuesday." Asher groaned, "Tomorrow is Monday. That means school." he trailed off.
Why did he keep changing the subject? He changed it, then went back to her and changed it again suddenly. Aerial was doing something to him, but Asher didn't understand what. And it was driving him crazy.
