Aza felt better after going to the bathroom. When she opened the door she didnt see Kove. She walked by his bedroom and went down stairs. The girl on the couch was gone along with James and Kove. She heard some noises' in Koves room. "Guess that solves one of the missing persons." She mumbled. It was a big house. Well to her atleat. She thought she could kill time by exploring her new house. She walked down the a hall way pas.s the kitchen door. There was another living room area. The walls where red and the funiture was orange. It reminded her of fire. She walked the other way, leaving the fire room and kitchen. Over here there was another room. A extra room that was empty. The baby blue walls and a big green pulsh carpet on top of cherry colored hard wood floors. It looked nice. She walked in looking around more. There was a window oppisite of the door way. The window veiwed a gr*censored* spot with little purple flowers scattered every where. Aza smiled. The flowers reminded her of her mom who would always bring home purple flowers before dinner. Aza just stood there stairing out the window for a long time.

James felt uncomfortable, not knowing why. He was daydreaming while walking. He drempt of the vacations his family had taken to Jamaica the summer he turned 10 along with his brother who turned 9. He remembered an old lady he had seen at the market place over in Jamaica, who had been frightened to see him, for he reminded her of slave owners son. James remembered telling the lady not to be frightened and then the lady smiled sweetly at him touching his face and telling him that he was not like the slave owners son who was crul to her. The little old lady told james the story about her as a slave and how she escaped. But James was shaken from his daydeam by Thaleron who had spoke. James wondered if Thaleron felt the same as the old lady. "You will see." James said looking at her. "Its a mile up the road." He smiled as he noticed that she was beside him and not behind.

Kove had sat cross legged on the ground, the blankets plus under him as he waited, thinking on his own of the two girls, who only seemed very different from each other. He picked himself up off the ground as he realized it had been awhile since he had left Aza. He moved down the hall, letting out a sigh as he reached the top of the staircase, looking down easily before he held the railing as he fiddled with it before slipping down the stairs quietly, taking the steps easily until he reached the bottom, scanning the area of the first living room of cream and black, the cl*censored*y colors he liked compared to the orange and red room which he made his way through next, his eyes fluttering around, still finding no bodies, only wondering where they had all ran off since Thaleron was no longer in the living room, but he only figured James was trying to achieve her better side. His eyes caught the emptier room with the sky blue walls, the clam feeling over looking where Aza stood, looking out of the large window, which only confirmed the differences in the two girls. Aza, to him, liked to take things easier than Thaleron, taking in the little details of life. That was different from what Thaleron felt towards the little things, easily understanding that she wouldn’t easily be impressed, only taking much effort to please her. He stood in the door frame just watching Aza for a while, leaning his side on it as he crossed his arms over his narrow chest, one leg crossed under the others. “Aza.” He said slowly, trying not to startle her. “Are you okay?”

Thaleron sighed, watching where they were going still. A mile wasn’t far for her, as she use to run the many paths around her old house for hours, not wanting to be with her family, but this, not knowing where she was going, bothered her. She didn’t like unknown aspects, not amused by them. She let the minutes slide by without talking, having realized she had interrupted James’s thoughts. And she opened her mouth, ready to do it again, “First thing about me, is I hate surprises and not knowing things, it makes me frustrated when I don’t understand.” She said truthfully, finally letting her eyes move to the side so she could see him, yet not enough where she couldn’t flick her gray eyes away easily. “But I guess I’ll have to wait it out.” She gave a quiet laugh which was rather forced, unsure if she wanted to know or not, the idea perplexed her of what kind of place James liked to go to. She couldn’t help but wonder if she even liked it for she wasn’t impressed easily, knowing it took a lot to make her happy, and the other aspect was whether she wanted to be happy or not, for something that one day might irritate her, could make her ecstatic the next day.

Aza jummped at the sound of Koves voice. All her thoughts about her home flew away as he askerd if she was ok. She spun around to face him. He was leaned up aginst the door way. Aza smiled "Yah I am fine." Her voice was weak and quiet for not talking in hours. Aza glanced over her shoulder for one last look at the purple flowers. "Um, yah, so..." Her voice more stronger as it trailed off as she tore her eyes away form the purple glow that the flowers had lighting up the gr*censored* and making the sky shine more. Aza took a few steps toward Kove leaving the cold window seal that had made a print on her pale peachy skin.

James laughed as Thaleron said that she hates suprises."Well then if you hate suprises and dont want to wait it out because its so agonizing" He empathised the word agonizing. He continued "Then guess, sunshine" He knew she wouldnt guess but, he thought it was worth a try. They where almost there any way, so it realy didnt matter if she guessed or not, its only a few minuites away. James started to hum quietly to himself as they entered a forrest that looks like its just miles and miles of forest. The trees where damp and there where alot of new bushes that hadnt been there the last time the brothers where here but James knew his way.

((Sorry it took so long I just got up and was at a halloween party late last night.))

Kove continued to lean against the frame, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you." He said as he studied her, his eyes moving the window he had looked out, taking in the flowers easily, noting that was something she liked. He gave a wry smile as his eyes moved back to her. "Really? You're fine? I'm not dumb, even when I say I'm fine I know I'm not." He chuckled though, trying to lighten her mood. As she stepped forward, he pushed himself from the frame, "Want to help make dinner? Well, you don't have to, I usually make it, I just thought it might be nice for me to have a little company." He took a step back, turning his body slightly away from the room, though he glanced back at her, lifting his eye brows in a question.

Thaleron sighed, pulling in a breath of air as they hit the forest. "The dump." She said sarcastically, her voice flat. "But now I just kind of think you might get me lost and leave." She laughed though, not finding it serious, just her last, lame attempt to try to let herself loosen up, only to make her feel more stupid. She shook her head, her eyes scanning the area before they flicked back to James. "I'm sorry. You probably have a really good family don't you? I just lock myself up, so I'm sorry." She said seriously as she let her head turn away once again.

Aza smiled bigger and brighter, her eyes where glowing. "Sure! What are we making?" This was the first time since she had been here that she acctually liked being here. She walked towards him, then next to him, still smiling as they walked to the kitchen. She thought about the time she was five and was helping her mom make dinner. Her dad was in the living room yell at the little people on the TV, telling them to go go go! Aza sighed remebering the good times. She flipped one strand of her curly hair behind her shoulder as she tucked the others behind her ear. Her neck was exposed. The air was a little chilly as they walked into the kitchen, leaving tiny goose bumps on her neck. Her eyes where filled with joy and sadness as they entered the kitchen.

Laughing once more at Thalerons atempt to guess where they where going stoped as she apologized. James stoped making Thaleron stop with him. He held both her shoulders as she looked away. James, though looked her strait in the face. "Thaleron" His voice was soft, warm and calming. "Dont apologize. Every familys have their up's and down's, and the people the family contains are the same. Up and down." He lifted her chin to make her look at him. "I am sure you dont lock yourself away. You might just have a down moment but when you fell more comfortable one of those up moments and you wont be sorry..." He looked up from her and smiled befor looking back down at her. "We are almost there." James lead her deeper in the woods before finding the place. "Here we are!" He smiled bigger and looked down at her to see her ex
pression. He was sure she would like it. The sparkling pond, The white outdoor swing that now had vines twisted around it.

Kove moved easily to the kitchen, moving through into it, his eyes moving to the surroundings, the counter island in the middle, running counters along the sides of the walls, cupboards and drawers under and over them. He shrugged, "I don't know yet. Whatever really I see when I look." He strode slowly towards the refrigerator and pulled it open, his eyes scanning it until he opened up one of the drawers and pulled out a few packages containing spinach leaves and the other containing oak leaves, frisee endive, and red chard. "How about a salad?" The packages were clear, no labels, having them all home grown. "I can string up some really good dressing and put nuts and berries into it. Plus it is all organic and home grown, even better." He chuckled slightly, carrying the bags to the middle counter before he moved to a cupboard to pull out a large wooden bowl and bringing it once again the island in the middle of the room, setting it on the edge by the bags of lettuce leaves.

Thaleron had stayed quiet, only letting her head move away when he finally let go. She took a deep breath in, only moving next to him once again. As they moved farther into the forest, she was becoming more and more nervous, her body jittery. But as they came upon the area she as.sumed was the one they went to, she only stood, her face still flat. The first thing she let her eyes move to was the glimmering water, the sparkling that glinted off of it, streaming pond. Her eyes fluttered around to the white wood swing, and that is when she became surprised, having always liked the lulling motions of any swing. She moved forward swiftly, leaving James as she moved quickly, making her way to the bench swing, her eyes fluttering around the ivy that strung over the wood, her fingers moving over the leaves delicately before she carefully placed herself on the left side of the swing, lifting her legs slowly off of the ground as the swing moved backwards slowly before mulling forward in the rocking motion she liked most.

Aza nodded, not knowing what Salad tasted like. her family never realy ate anything besides, Spagettie, Cereal, and fruits. If they ever did have something diffrent it was when she went to her grandmas or grandpas. Aza walked up to the island where Kove was and looked at the bags of leaves and the wooden bowl. She touched the bags carefully unfamiliar with the word 'salad' but extreamly familiar with leaves. "These are just leaves." She mumbled to herself giggling like a child. When she was done she looked at him her eyes excited and full of knowlegde her lips smiling showing her off white teeth. "So what first?" Aza didnt know how long to make it or what to do so she decited to follow Koves lead. Something did strike her that made her verry curious. The thought of Thaleron and James, and the big question to where they were at.

James eyes followed Thaleron as she sstarted to swing on the swing his father built. He walked over to the pond and squated next to it so that his butt was almost touching the wet groung. James staired in to the water looking at his reflection and the reflections around him. A koi fish swam up to him and did a few figure eight's before swimming off into the darkened water. James notice how dark the sky was getting. "Hey Thal, we  should get going soon." His head was twisted back to look at her, his chin sat at his shoulder, but hiss body was faced towards the water. He got up and walked over to her and sat on the swing, but at the opposite side. He sighed. "What are you thinking about?" His voice was soft and gentle just like when he was telling her not to apologize. He remenbered what he was thinking earlier and wondered if she was thinking something secrative. He looked off in to the distance waiting for a reply.

((I kept trying to post, because I write mine on word before putting them on here, and I was like what the heck where it the reply space! I spent literally ten minutes trying to figure out what was wrong. Then I realized I wasn't logged in... lol))

“Yes…” His voice was slow and deep before he cleared his throat as he let his eyes move to the bags she had touched, obviously confused. “They’re just leaves. Edible ones.” He let his eyes move to her before he smiled, though his eye brows were still lifted still. “Open the bags and put all of them in the bowl.” He pushed the bowl towards her, wondering if she wanted to, since she seemed so curious of the lettuce. “I’ll get some things out for the dressing.” He glanced at her once again before he turned away, moving towards a cupboard and pulling it open, grabbing a few gl*censored* rectangular bottles, one with olive oil, another with basaltic vinegar, the other had hot rocks in it, which he set all three on the counter and moving back to grab a measuring cup. As he moved to another cupboard he wondered where his brother had ran off to, but wouldn’t be surprised if he went to the one place they often went to. He sighed, letting his fingers wrap around the gl*censored* with little red hatch marks on the side before he moved back to the counter once again, letting his arms rest on it as he let his eyes move to Aza once again. “I wouldn’t try it now, it isn’t very good, but when it is all made, then it will be much better. I’m sure you’ll like it, a lot of people do. I prefer it over heavy meats.” He said easily, giving his lazy smile, one with his lip curled higher than the other.

Thaleron let out a quiet sigh as she shifted her arms, setting her hands in her lap, fingers intertwined with each other.  She stared blankly in front of her for awhile, as if she hadn’t even heard him. She drew in a small breath, “Already?” She asked quietly as she let her feet press against the ground, lifting them up before letting them tap against the ground every few seconds. “I don’t know.” She replied simply, and it was true, she wasn’t exactly sure what had happened and her mind went blank as soon as she sat down on the swing, letting herself go for once.  “I guess I really just like swings. I was kind of just thinking about this one. I rarely get to even sit on one, so then I started to think about that. That just led to my dad, then my mom. And now why you want to know.” She let her head turn in the direction of James, her eyes flicking away from the scenery of the pond to land on him. Slowly, she pushed her body up from the swing, remembering he had said it was about time to go.

((Finnaly done with homework!!! And Lol! Well I guess that would make sence. haha Rescreau did that to me yesterday.))

Aza didnt realized that Kove had heard her. She blushed just making her cheeks redder than they already where.  Despiting her blush she did what she was told. She took out all of the colorful leaves and placed them gentaly in the bowl. While Kove was turned away Aza took a nice smooth leaf and shoved it into her pocket wanting to observe it more, after dinner. As Kove turned around with small gl*censored* bottles she smiled at him, like nothing had happened. She scrunched down to look at one of those bottles more closly until she relized how much of a dork she looked like. "Oh, haha, Yah I was just reading the label on it." She said giving a lame excuse. She messed with her hair real fast beforw asking the same question she asked a moment ago. "So now what." She smiled one of her fake uncomfortable simles that she did rarely.

James sighed too and pointed to the sky. "Yah, Its getting dark and Kove is probably making dinner." His voice was quiet and cold. The wind started blowing as soon and the sun started to dissapear. James was suprised that Thaleron acctually answered his question truthfully. "Oh I was just wondering. It was the thought I had earlier that made me ask." James sighed as her got to his feet. "Shall we?" He guestured to the path that lead out of the woods and back to the house. "Oh!" He paused for a second before talking again but this time he looked down and was quiet. "You can come here when ever you want. With Aza, or Kove or me..." His voice tailed off not knowing if he wanted to all the last part but he did anyway hopeing to gain alittle trust. "Or by yourself..." his voice trail off as it got quieter.

Kove chuckled, grabbing the basaltic vinegar and twisting the cap until it released, setting it carefully on the counter and drawing the measuring cup closer. “We make the dressing.” He said as he started to pour the dark liquid into the cup, watching it fill slowly until it reached half way and he set the gl*censored* bottle down. He reached for the cap, screwing it back on before setting it down and then grabbing the olive oil, doing the same thing, only filling in a fourth. “And then we’ll put it in, mix the leaves, cut some apple slices, throw some crushed cranberries in, and walnuts.” He said as he grabbed the rock salt, tipping it and shaking the bottle as it fell out like pepper. He watched them float for a few seconds before they started to move to the bottom of the measuring cup. He picked up the measuring cup, moving around the edge of the island in the middle until he was next to Aza, reaching for the bowl and pouring the mixture into the leaves. He sighed, taking the now empty measuring cup to the sink and setting in carefully, moving to pull out a large wooden spoon and fork, handing them to Aza carefully. “You just kind of… Toss it.” He said as he left her to it. As he pulled the refrigerator door open once again, he bent down, rummaging around the drawers until he pulled out two apples and cranberries. He set them onto the counter, moving to pull out a knife and cutting board, setting both on the counter before glancing at the bowl filled with the salad leaves.

Thaleron glanced at James, a wry smile slipping upon her lips. “If you wanted me to go with you again, all you had to do was ask.” She laughed, her eyes still trailing on him, following after him towards the path until she darted past him, unsure of what he would say, let alone knowing if she wanted to be around him. She felt odd as she joked around with him, something she wasn’t use to, but she still felt bad from the event that had happened earlier. She moved down the path in a rather quick pace, knowing a mile wasn’t too long, only about twenty minutes for her walk, maybe less, depending on how fast she walked. She finally let herself peek over her shoulder, looking back to see where James was. She shook her head, letting her eyes move forward once again, letting them land on the ground she was walking on.

Aza did as she was told. She flipped and tossed. A few leaves fell out of the bowl as she just kept repeating the steps of flipping and tossing over and over again until Kove came back and set stuff on the Counter. She didnt knwo what he would say to her mess, or the five leaves on the table. Her giggles went away as she now stuttered as she picked up the salad leaves. "Uh, uh... Wheres the garbage." She didnt know what he would say or if he would get mad. The spoon was still in bowl and Her hands had salad in it. She sighed hoping he wouldnt get too mad.

James laughed along with Thaleron, except it was forced and uncomfortable. Once Thaleron darted past her his laugh was real. "I see how it is Thal!" James started to walk fast until he broke out in full speed. He p*censored*ed her. He didnt know how fast he was going until beads of swet covered his hairline. He looked back and started to run faster. "Come on Thal! I know you can be faster than that"He taunted her as if she was a friend he knew since grade school. He tripped as he ran back wards. He hit the ground hard. It was wet and his arm hurt from the fall. "*censored*!" He yelled, then Moaning in pain. It was a moan and a laugh so it sounded verry starangs until the moaning died down so it was just laughing.

Kove let his eyes move to the few leaves on the counter before she picked them up, “Under the sink cupboard.” He said as he let his eyes move back to the two apples, reaching out and grabbing one before slicing it quickly, reaching for the second when he was done, turning it in his fingers carefully. “You know, when I first did that, I spilt half the bowl, so you did pretty well.” He chuckled, still cutting the apple into pieces, thin long ones, but once the second apple was cup, he grabbed several pieces and diced them into cubes, pushing them to the corner of the cutting board before grabbing a few more and dicing them up. When he finished, he picked up the cutting board all together and used the knife to push the apple chunks into the bowl with the leaves before setting the knife and cutting board to the side and reaching for the cranberries. He glanced back at Aza as he pulled a handful of the berries out, sprinkling them into the salad over the apples before reached for the fork and spoon, mixing the two fruits into the salad. He glanced at it, almost dissatisfied, but shook his head and moved to another cupboard to grab four short, wide bowls.

Thaleron had watched him move forward, but refused to follow after him in a run, only rolling her eyes until she watched him trip, only to let out a loud laugh, though quickly she lifted a hand to her mouth, covering it quickly, stifling the laugh and immediately feeling guilty, even though he had laughed. She couldn’t do this; she didn’t know how to be sympathetic. She had watched her mother deal with all the sick girls in her family, the scrapes and bruises, bringing ice, stitching skin back together, and just about anything else, but Thaleron had always been the roughest of the girls, never taking the time to learn as the others had, how to make people feel better, for she never had to, being the youngest. She swallowed, reaching him quickly and kneeling to the ground, “Are you okay?” She asked slowly, before she let her hand move out to his wrist, yanking it so she could see his arm, not really caring about the movements she may have caused to hurt him, only wanting o check for any physical bleeding wounds. “You are an odd one. It wasn’t very smart to do that.” She said wryly, her eyes moving to his for a split second before back down, immediately letting go of his wrist.

Aza smiled to herself and kind of laughed at what Kove had said. She was suprised though, she didnt know what was wrong with her. She would have been more talkative today and in their coversation. She just thought it was her nerves and went on her way to the garbage can and back over to the island. Instead of being fascinated she was growing bored and was curious to how long they have been making this salad. She wasnt about to show her boredness so she stood up straight watching every move ment Kove did.

As Thaleron caught up to him he stopped laughing only waiting for a respose. "Yah I know." He said looking up at her once his wrist was back by his side. "But we should realy get back." He laughed quickly before getting up and walked.

((It's all good))

Kove picked up the wooden bowl, placing it over the four cream colored ceramic bowls he had picked up from the cupboard. “If you are bored, you can do something else, it won’t hurt my feelings.” He said seriously, his eyes moving to her for a moment. “I can tell the actions of people, it isn’t very hard once you figure them out and its okay if you want to do go do something else. James probably won’t be back for a bit longer, so we’ll have to wait to eat.” He said as he moved across the kitchen, holding the supplies easily, stopping at a drawer to pick up forks, holding them in his hand, pressing them to the bowls as he moved forward once again, heading towards and open door frame which lead into a large dining room with dark cherry red dining room table.

Thaleron lifted herself back up slowly, “You’re okay though right?” She asked, not stepping forward but standing awkwardly, arms limp at her side, her eyes following him as he walked away. She let out a soft sigh, finally taking a few steps forward after him, small and slow until finally she let her pace quicken so she could catch up with him, her eyes on the ground as she could feel the air getting colder as night started to grow slowly into the sky and surroundings around them.
