Beni walked up to the entrance and looked towards the sky, raindrops landing on her face and rolling off like tears. Her heart was pumping loudly in her chest as her nervousness peaked. She quickly accessed her appearance in the reflection of a puddle. That morning she'd made sure to tie her hair back neatly, put a bit of eye-liner on to make them look bigger. Beni had always been a master with altering clothes, so she'd put some shoulder-pads that seemed to meld with the fabric, and added extra support on her shoes in order to make her body look more masculine. "I hope this fools them..." she whispered as she gathered her courage and ran through the doors. Luckily no one was around as they were all on their way to their dorms, putting things where they needed to go for class and other preparations. Beni herself played a few instruments, the guitar, violin and clarinet, as well as a bit of piano, so she decided she should go to her room and make sure her instruments had gotten transported safely. As she turned a corner right at the hallway that lead to the dorms, something hit her, and her vision went black. "Am I dead?"

My second year in MAGMY...
I thought to myself as I passed some unfamiliar faces from last year. I would introduce myself but I wanted to get everything settled first before I went talking to people. I liked to get everything organized in my dorm before I did anything else. The one and only thing about MAGMY that every guy - except me - hated was that it was an all guys school. No girls to gawk at in between classes - and during class.
Now, you see, I was different. I was glad that no girls were here. I wasn't the type to catch a girls eye with charm and looks anyways. I was the type to scare them away. I wore glasses, was serious about grades so I didn't fit in well, and was too clumsy to be anywhere near a jock. I wouldn't say I was well- built either. Some used to call me popsicle stick.
They still do. But I've grown on the name.
I walked through the hallways quickly, searching for my dorm number 124. As I turned a corner, I was surprised to see another guy here. Talking to himself.
"Well the fact that you can talk, and that you're standing, blinking... And, all together that I see you breathing..." I said, while pushing up my glasses as I pointed at his chest naturally going in and out from his breathing.
"My diagnosis would be that you are most definately not dead." I smiled a crooked smiled, before holding out my hand.
"I'm Lance. You knew here?"

Beni rubbed her head and pushed herself up. "Yeah," she said in an unnecessarily deep voice. "The name is Beni." Brushing herself off she realized that this was her first trial. If she couldn't trick this guy she was doomed. "You wouldn't happen to know where dorm 124 is would you? I have to pick up my instruments from there." |

I gave the new guy a awkward smile before doing a wave of my hand to motion Beni to follow me.
"I don't know if it's fortunate or unfortunate for you, but that is my dorm too. I guess we'll be roommates for quite some time."
I said before coming across the right door. It had the numbers '124' at the top, so I looked at the keys (Handed one to Beni since this was his dorm too.) And opened the door.
"What instruments you play?"
I asked as I set the keys down on what I guessed could be my bed and sat down on the bed.

[Tis alright <3 I will probably fail as well... we fail together] "Well..." Beni replied, gesturing to the instruments on the far side of the room. "Both kinds of guitar, clarinet and violin mostly. Not much else that I could play in this school's standards." She moved over to the instruments and took out the clarinet. Fingers instantly going to their places, a stream of notes surged out, enveloping her. She was playing one of her favorite songs, Swan Lake. Ever since she'd picked up a clarinet she'd loved the sound of that song and wanted to play it more than anything. After practicing it so many times she was able to play it forwards, backwards, jump from different parts and not get lost, even improvise wherever she wanted. Somehow though, this guy unnerved her and she stopped right in the middle of the song, looking at him. "What do you play, Lance?" |

I grinned as she spontaneously began playing the clarinet. This guy can really play the clarinet. I felt a bit intimidated as he asked me what instruments I played. This guy was much more talented. He'd probably find me not as advanced as I am recorded to be.
"Uh... Piano and guitar."
I said, feeling awkward as I pushed my glassed up my nose again. They annoyingly kept sliding down. Probably nervous sweats.
"But, the keyboard isn't as fun as a grand piano. And, I personally like acoustic better then my electric. But... I deal with what I have."
I said with a shrug. [[YES! <3 ]

"Really?" exclaimed Beni. She shut herself up once the words left her mouth. Oh no! She thought, I just used my real voice, he'll definitely notice now. Inside she was screaming but outside she was calm and collected, like a criminal at the gallows waiting for their divine punishment. [dang, I keep forgetting about my rps ;n; stinking school. I feel stressed about nothing XD] |

I looked at Beni, with a confused ex
pression.
"Dude... Your voice got really high a second there."
I guessed he hadn't hit puberty yet. I chuckled at the thought as I added,
"And, yes really. But, I wouldn't think it's that exciting."
I said with an embarressed chuckle.

"We should totally play together sometime, I'd love to do an instrumental duet." Beni said, attempting to bring down the tone of her voice. "Um, Lance, I just have one question. About use of the bathroom... I... get really nervous if there's someone in there with me so... if we could have separate times to shower and stuff I'd appreciate it." Beni blushed as she said this and started fiddling with the keys on her clarinet. |

Beni's preferences were odd but thankfully I had odd preferences too. Like, I didn't like sharing a toothpaste bottle. Or sharing deodorant. Maybe Beni was just more clean like I try to be.
"That's perfectly fine. I'll just make sure not to go in when you plan too."
I said with a shrug.
"And, yeah we should definitely try a duet."
