"It's distressed," Serenity murmured, still stroking the now calm grass pokemon. "It has been pushed from its normal hunting grounds by Arceus only knows what." She looked up at you. "While normally vicious, carnivine don't normally go out of their way to attack civilians..." She thought, eyes closed. "Where exactly did you see this pokemon yesterday?"

"In the forest, pretty early on," Gabriel responded, stroking his Skitty's fur. "I left immediately since there wasn't a way around it and we didn't stand much of a chance alone most likely." He sighed softly, frowning.
"This disease that's going around really needs to be stopped, but if we want to take on an entire team we need to get stronger than we are. Who knows what all they have..." He hugged Delilah a bit and glanced at Cynder, looking worried.

Serenity nodded. "I hate to say it... but you're right. I'm going to need more than just Natty here to solve this case... I'll have to get myself a few pokeballs from the mart in Santalune." Natty fluttered over to her shoulder, landing carefully and looking at her trainer, worried.
((You can choose if you want to spend the rest of the day training. You may select two pokemon skills to train in per pokemon, and you may train three pokemon per day in this method. They will also gain levels at my discretion. And quick attack added to the moves! Tackle replaced.))

((Alright since Cynder should know Peck now time to go boss a bug gym eue -has the fletchling thing up to watch what moves she learns and might pull up the skitty one so she can be strategic-))
Gabriel awoke at around the same time the next morning as he had the previous one, yawning as he sat up and gently woke up his Pokemon. Today they could take on the gym, since by that point Cynder had learned a flying-type move. She wouldn't learn a fire-type move until she evolved so it was their only shot.
He inhaled and, after packing everything back up and making it all nice and neat, went to go meet Serenity in the lobby once more. He told her he thought he was ready to take on the gym and she nodded, allowing them both to step out and start to Santalune Gym, where the leader Viola would hopefully be ready and willing to battle with him.

You signed in to the gym, filled out your paperwork, and Serenity and you were separated into different rooms, one for 'challengers' and one for ' observers.' It didn't take long for them to call your name, and you headed out onto the battlefield.The gym itself looked like a giant grassy field, with small flowers dotted throughout, and large imposing ones along the walls. It appeared to be some sort of greenhouse! Viola appeared very tired when she appeared, circles under her eyes, and moving very slowly. "Zero badges," she said to herself, voice magnified by what you assumed was a mic. She nodded to herself and turned, reaching in a cabinet for two pokeballs. "I'll start this off with... Surskit!" she announced, as enthusiastic as she could muster.
Gyms in the pokemon world handled a lot of turmoil in the community, so it was no surprise that Viola was exhausted. Being an excellent gym leader, and a master of bug pokemon (which weren't effected by the virus,) she had most likely been up all night, trying to find the source of this problem. A small bug pokemon appeared in the grass, rearing its tiny head. "Skit!"

"I'll try not to take up too much of your time," Gabriel said with a small smile before he sent out Delilah. Having Cynder go against a Surskit would be a very bad idea.
"Delilah use Tail Whip then Tackle," he called out, hoping his plan would work well enough. If not...well, that would be determined later. After healing up his Pokemon and getting them back into good condition. |

Delilah, having had some practice on her legs, hobbled out onto the battlefield almost as quickly as if she had all four of her legs. "Skitty!"Her psychic abilities seemed to help her heal and adjust to things faster. "Surskit, bubble!" called Violet from across the battlefield, and the surskit began sprinting towards Delilah in a strange, skating motion. She turned herself around, waving her pink tail around in the air, startling the surskit, making it wonder what she was doing... And as it got close, she turned and lunged, using her front two legs, back right leg, and tail as a support for her missing left leg, to launch herself at it. She smashed right into its head, making it stumble backward. It was hurt, but not hurt enough. It shot an angry stream of bubbles at Delilah, who winced, more annoyed than injured. "Skitty..." she hissed.

"Delilah, try Attract then Tackle it again," Gabriel called out, biting his lip lightly. Hopefully he was coming g up with a good enough strategy for this. This was also kind of riding on hoping the surskit was male. If it was then this could be made a whole lot easier on his little feline.

Delilah began to sassily strut her way over to the surskit as best she could, but it turned out the surskit wasn't into her like that. Being female, the bug type had zero interest in Delilah at all.But the skitty was smart, and tried something different. Halfway through trying to attract the surskit to her, when she realized it wasn't working, she switched tactics and began limping and whining instead. Instead of attract, it became more of 'pity me I only have three legs.' And the surskit fell for it! Once it got close enough, trying to take a look at Delilah's bum leg, she rounded on it and tackled it in the face, knocking it out! "Surskit is unable to battle," announced the ref. "Good job, girl," Violet said. The gym leader kept it to herself, but believed what your skitty did was a dirty trick. But it was within the rules, and so she couldn't be too mad. But she sure wasn't going to hold back. "Let's go, Vivillon!" she cried, tossing out a pokeball to reveal a large butterfly. "Stun spore!" she commanded, jumping right into things.

"Dodge it if you can and use Tackle!" Gabriel shouted, bitinf his lip as e glanced at Cynder, perched on his shoulder. He exhaled slowly and shook his head. If this worked he'd return er then send out Cynder. She had a type advantage since she knew Peck now, so he needed her to be as ready to go as possible. He needed her for this part, and he just hoped Delilah would be alright since this was pretty risky.

((Sorry it's taken me so long to reply, I've been in Florida all week xD))
Delilah leapt to the side in an attempt to dodge the stun spore, but it wasn't enough. The vivillon had a great wingspan, and the attack was nearly impossible to avoid. Delilah was paralyzed, lying on the ground, unable to move. The leader could have been harsh and finished her, but pitied the paralyzed and crippled Delilah, and gave you an opportunity to recall her. |
