Serenity nodded, finishing her meal, as if that confirmed her suspicions. "Great. Well at least we have a place to start. But just who would be doing such a thing...?"You both thank and tip your waitress before leaving the restaurant, full and pleased. It's just after curfew, but the shops don't close until 9, so you have plenty of time. A pokemon pound is a place full of pokemon that were once trained but now no longer have trainers, and do not want to be released into the wild because A. they've forgotten how to survive in the wild, or B. they want to see if they can get lucky and get another trainer, because they liked being a trained pokemon. When you walk inside the pound, you are greeted by a pokemon breeder. "Welcome! Thank you so much for stopping in to give these guys another chance. Please, take a look around and enjoy yourself! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask! We have nearly all types of pokemon here, and they are organized by such. I can show you where each type is!"
((For this, you can select a few types to view, and I will be rolling random to see which pokemon you can find, and deciding on personalities for them!))

Gabriel smiled in greeting, dipping his head slightly. "Could you show me the fire, dark, and psychic areas perchance?" he asked softly, glancing down at his pokemon. Fire was his favorite type due to their warmth, and they were usually so excitable! Plus he knew he got cold easier than he should and fire types would be able to help in other areas too.
Psychic and Dark were resistant to the dangers of the disease. If they were going to do this, he needed Pokemon he could be sure would be safe and alright going where they were going.
And at least this way Pokemon would be getting a new home as opposed to getting plucked from the wild.

Fire
Dark Psychic
Growlithe: Sleeping in the corner, eyes you warily as you enter. Deion says was abandoned. Vulpix: Yawns and slowly approaches you. Deion says was donated to facility. Fennekin: Sits and watches you curiously. Deion says was left in a box outside of the facility.
Poocheyena: Runs up and licks your hand. Deion says was donated to facility. Stunky: Is curled up, sleeping. Deion says trainer died. Sandile: Approaches you, but carefully. Deion says was abandoned.
Abra: Floats in corner, tilting head to acknowledge your entrance. Deion says was donated to facility. Spoink: Isn't bouncing, watches you carefully. Deion says was abandoned. Ralz: Comes up to you carefully, looking curious. Deion says trainer died.
Serenity sprinted off to the dragon type section to pick out a friend. You are left with these choices. If you wanted to, you could interact with a few to learn more about their personalities.

Gabriel stepped forward before he moved to let his Pokemon out of their balls to let them go and mingle while he did the same, Cynder fluttering over to the fire-types and Delilah seeming to be drawn to psychic types. This left Gabriel with approaching the Dark.-types, smiling lightly as the Poochyena ran up to greet him. "Hello," he said softly, moving to gently pet the Pokemon's head. He felt kind of bad that these poor pokemon didn't have a true home. Could he only pick one? He really hoped not...
Cynder let out a soft chirp as she settled in among the fire types, ruffling her feathers as she settled down. She'd have to find which one would be a good companion for their travels, someone who would get along with all of them for sure.
Delilah let out a soft mewl as she moved to the Psychic-type pokemon, tilting her head as she looked at the three of them. She let out a greeting meow and stepped forward, tail moving to help her stay balanced on three legs.

The poocheyena seemed to be the most excitable, running up to you and licking your hand, panting and standing up on his hind legs. "Yena!" he barked, panting. The sandile crept up behind him slowly, watching how you interacted with the dog pokemon, but eventually decided to come to the edge of the cage, letting you scratch his head.Turning to look at your pokemon, you see a sign, and can see that there is no limit on how many pokemon can be adopted, however more than one will require an adoption fee. Cynder seems to be getting along really well with the vulpix. They are talking, and engaged in a really deep conversation, possibly about how the vulpix ended up in the adoption center, or about the virus out in the world. Delilah is also making friends, especially with the raltz. As she approached, hobbling on three legs, he noticed her strange movements. When he saw that she was missing a leg, he used his telepathy to create a psychic leg that she could support herself on, and surprisingly move. She jumped around, so happy to have a leg back, even if it was a conjuration of psychic energy. The fact that she could control the leg herself pointed even more to her history having psychic lineage. Normal pokemon would have only been able to support themselves on the leg, not move it as well. Once she ran too far from the raltz, the leg dissipated and she fell flat on her face, but immediately ran right back to him and the leg reformed. Serenity ran back from the dragon room, holding a dratini in her arms. Its head was draped over her neck like a scarf. "Look! This is Diamond!" she said, super excited. Natty landed on Diamond's back and grinned as well.

((yes, pokemon are registered weapons in the pokemon world, and a six pokemon limit is in effect. Now you could use the PC, or later on in the story give pokemon to others for more training, or just to watch, or for research, or release them with their own kind, things like that. But on your person, only 6.))

((Gotcha gotcha. uvu If need be he could give one to Serenity to look after, right? At least until they have to part ways and he can head back home to just kind of live happily ever after with them all and be warm and happy forever))
Gabriel looked back over his shoulder and smiled slightly, dipping his head in greeting. "Nice to meet you Diamond," he said gently before he gently ran his hand along the scales of the Sandile's back. "I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up adopting more than one," he said slightly sheepishly, motioning to Deiliah and Cynder as well. "They've made friends and these two seem to like me, so I'd feel bad leaving one of them behind," he said softly before he cleared his throat slightly and nodded, taking a moment to pause and look around for the attendant so he could try to finalize adopting the pokemon. And maybe go about finding evolution stones, since both Delilah and the Vulpix would need them, and possibly the Ralts unless he was alright with becoming a Gardevoir.
But that was okay, he could worry about that later. For now he needed to focus on these little guys and make sure they'd be okay battling later on. Team training sessions. Especially since he might have to rely on the Sandile, Poochyena, and Ralts for a good bit of everything since they were immune, and therefore would be the safest when battling.
((Also have I mentioned that I find it hilarious that scrawny, wimpy Gabriel could end up with the most badass team ever, because I think it's the greatest, funniest thing ever and I can't stop giggling.
Though to be fair he isn't fully 'matured' physically yet either so one day he might match his team in the badassery. uvu))

You mention your desire to adopt the four of them, and the attendant is more than happy. "In fact, since you are adopting so many, we can give you quite the discount!" she declared happily. "It will only be around... 250000 pokedollars!" Uh oh.Having only 2400, this was slightly overpriced, but Serenity to the rescue. "Here's my card," she said hurriedly, passing her credit card to the attendant before you could say a word. She smiled, and grabbed pokeballs for the four pokemon. You had to capture them yourself, and all four allowed you to easily. Thanking the attendant, you headed out to the courtyard to check their pokedex entries.
Poocheyena: Male. Dark Type. 12 Moves: Poison Fang (egg move,) Bite, Tail Whip, Howl, Tackle, Sand Attack
Raltz: Male. Psychic/Fairy Type. 14 Moves: Confuse Ray (egg move,) Shadow Sneak (egg move,) Confusion, Growl, Double Team, Teleport
Sandile: Male. Dark/Ground Type. 10 Moves: Leer, Rage, Bite, Sand Attack, Torment, Fire Fang (egg move)
Vulpix: Female. Fire Type (Ghost Tendencies.) 16 Moves: Ember, Tail Whip, Roar, Baby-Doll Eyes, Quick Attack, Fire Spin, Confuse Ray, Ominous Wind (egg move,) Spite (egg move,) Hex (egg move.)
((This next entry should be about bonding with each pokemon, trying to get them to become a team. Remember you can control their movements as well. Poocheyena is a people pleaser, who loves to please his master. He is an ultra guard dog however, who will become very serious if threatened. Raltz is very friendly, bonding closely with Delilah because of her psychic tendencies. Tends to keep to himself. Sandile is more cautious, will take some warming up to the rest of your pokemon. Vulpix bonds well with Cynder, and seems to have strange powers, even beyond the ghost type egg moves. You're not quite sure what those powers are yet, but she shows them in that sometimes her eyes glow purple when she is thinking, or she appears to move completely silently.))

Gabriel looked over at Serenity thankfully when she came to the rescue, stepping out of the pound happily. Since they couldn't head anywhere else just yet, they returned to the Pokemon Center, where Gabriel let his Pokemon out and seated himself in the floor. He pulled his knees up to his chest and tilted his head. "I should name you guys," he said gently, nodding once.
He smiled as the happy little Poochyena sat by his side, moving to rub him behind one of his ears. "Do you like the name Fang?" he asked gently, laughing at the answering bark he received. "Fang it is, then," he said gently, rubbing the little puppy's head before looking between his Vulpix, Ralts, and Sandile.
He shifted his position so he could reach out to gently rub the Vulpix's cheek fur, smiling down at her. "Do you like the name Willow?" he asked gently. It was more like Will-o-the-wisp, but he felt it just...fit. And judging by the vulpix's nod, so did she.
He continued this pattern, talking to the remaining two and naming the Ralts Jacen and the Sandile Bandit, smiling as he saw Cynder and Willow continue to nestle together and Jacen and Delilah get along. He motioned for them all to come closer and they did, Gabriel fawning over each of them in turn. "We're going to be a great team, I can feel it," he told them, smiling down at his group of six. With that done he glanced at the bed, deciding it was probably too small to try to sleep on it with all of his Pokemon. Well, he decided, he could always sleep on the floor with them.
Then he noticed Bandit ,ind of sitting off on his own and reached out to, very gently, lift him up to gently rub his scales. "Don't worry Bandit, I'm sure you'll adjust to everyone," he told him with a soft smile, Fang nestling up to his side to curl up beside him. Then a thought occurred to him and he glanced up at Serenity, smiling sheepishly again. "Thank you for helping me adopt them," he said sheepishly, glancing to the side a moment before his gaze returned to his traveling companion. He'd ask her about scanning Diamond later.

((A day has passed! The only pokemon that may have stats added to them are Delilah and Cynder for today, because you just adopted the other four. Select the stat which you would want points added to. I'm going to set the scene for your next entry.))
Serenity woke you up eagerly that next day, determined to start investigating the mystery of the undead pokemon. "And we can beat that carnivine!" she said excitedly as she sprinted back out of the room. She was already dressed and ready to go, and you were just waking up from your spot on the floor with your six pokemon. Having a full team already is going to be quite difficult for Gabriel. Pokemon are living things that not only have to be cared for and loved, but also controlled and disciplined. At the moment, Bandit is digging through one of your bags, and happily comes out with a bag of pokefood between his jaws. Fang is bouncing up and down on his paws, watching Bandit eating and barking for him to share. Willow decided herself that they should not be eating the food, and confuse rayed both of them, who then began stumbling around the room, knocking over a flower pot that Jacen barely caught with his psychic powers. Cynder and Delilah are just watching this, amused.

((Flight and Attack please uvu))
Gabriel awoke with a soft groan, pushing himself up from his spot on the floor as he rubbed his eyes, taking a moment to assess the situation that was going on before he let out a gasp and jolted forward after the face, sighing in relief when Jacen was able to catch it. He reached out to gently take it from its place floating just above the ground to put it back in place, sretching out to pop he back before moving to his Pokemon. "Net time you want food, wake me up, alright?" he murmured, his voice slightly slurred by sleep. The floor hadn't been the most comfortable place in the world, so he hadn't exactly gotten very rested.
Then he looked over at Delilah and Cynder with a small pout. "Help me teach them what not to do, alright?" he asked almost pleadingly before he shook his head to try to wake up. They could do this. Things would be alright once the new additions settled into being a team. They'd be fine.
"Willow, please be careful when you're using your confuse ray," he murmured, yawning a bit. "We can't afford to end up breaking anything or ending up with someone getting hurt." Then he glanced to his Pokeballs and blinked once. He was going to have to put either most or all of them in one to make traveling easier, but he wanted them to get more used to working together and learning from one another. Maybe a battle with that Carnivine was what they needed, to get rid of some of that excess energy and excitement that probably came with them finally getting out of the pound. He nodded again and, after getting everyone to settle down long enough for him to go briefly wash up and change clothes, he lifted Bandit and Jacen into his arms, since Cynder, Delilah, Willow, and Fang would be able to keep up easier than these two would, especially since Jacen projected a false leg for Delilah to use.
"Let's go have a battle then," he said as he looked up to Serenity with a smile, ready to go.

Out back on the road, it was a dreary, rainy day once again. The sky was overcast, and even when it wasn't raining it still felt... wet.It was eerie almost, very quiet. There seemed to be less wild pokemon than normal, and this was worrisome. What if they had all been turned? Even if they had turned undead, shouldn't they be outside? Maybe, there are certain types of day where they aren't active? You have a few of your pokemon out walking with you, and Serenity is once again wearing Diamond like a scarf, with Natty flying ahead. You turn into the woods where you last saw the carnivine, but surprisingly, it doesn't attack. You don't see it at all, and you are unsure as to whether you should worry and feel sorry for it that it might be undead, or relieved that you don't have to deal with it. Walking through this part of the woods is even more scary. The arching trees and overcast skies make it seem much later in the day than it really is. Serenity turns on a flashlight, and you both continue walking. It isn't long before you reach a clearing, with a strange house cast in stark shadow. It is clearly abandoned. "We should check it out," Serenity whispers, attempting at failing to be brave. Her hand shook slightly, making the light from the flashlight waver.

Gabriel reached out to gently place his hand upon Serenity's arm, biting his lip slightly. "I'm not so sure," he said softly, looking between Serenity and their pokemon. "Do you think we'd be alright?" he asked after a moment, rubbing his arm as he moved a bit closer to his traveling companion. "It's...pretty intimidating, after all..."

She nodded, brushing her blonde hair from her eyes and taking a breath. "Yeah, I think so..." she said. Diamond tightened around her neck. "Let's go see."The door creaked open louder than you would have liked when you opened it, worrying you that someone might have heard, but you didn't see anyone. So you both assumed it was safe, and made your way inside. The cabin itself was dusty and creaky, appearing as if no one had been inside in a long time. You could head upstairs, or try the rooms on your left or right, or enter the basement right in front of you. You could have your pokemon search for clues, as well as yourself. Many options.

Gabriel fliinched slightly at the creaking of the door, looking around nervously. He tossed up a pokeball to release JAcen the Ralts, kneeling down to lift him up so he could be sure he wouldn't be left behind anywhere. "Hey Jacen, can you...sense anything?" he asked softly, seeing as the Psychic-type would probably be more sensitive to stuff like that than any of his other types. He cleared his throat slightly, shifting his weight from foot to foot.

He seemed ignorant of the upstairs, but leaning towards the basement. Not necessarily drawn towards it, but wary of it. He pointed towards it with his arm nervously, as if he didn't want to go near it, but was only indicating to you a strange sense. From above, you hear a loud crash, and it startles both you and Serenity. But, nothing comes out of it. It is quite strange. "I'll go take a look," she says quietly, and heads up the stairs with her two dragon pokemon. Nearing the basement door, you can see that though dust covers nearly everything in the house, the door handle is shiny, as if it had been dusted. Opening the door, there is a long, spiral staircase that descends into darkness.

Gabriel hugged his little Ralts gently, calling out Willow. If need be she could use Ember to possibly light the way for them, and since Jacen had Teleport he could get them out. He exhaled and looked down at Jacen, smiling nervously. "If we get into too much trouble, teleport us out, alright?" he asked gently, to which the small pokemon nodded. Gabriel nodded as well and reached out to carefully grip the handle, turning it to slowly push the door open and start down the stairs, Willow close by.
