Anthony closed his eyes and started to focus on blending in, letting out a loud squeak and jumping when the crash sounded. Almost like a reflex action from being frightened, he vanished from sight, clutching his chest with a startled ex
pression. "My god I need to pick the times to try to focus," he mumbled as he slowly began to fade back into view, his heart rate calming back down. "Warn me next time you plan on doing that, please," he murmured as he turned around to look over at Jared with his hand still on his heart.

Jared whipped around to face Tony, only to find that he wasn't there. Well, he was there, but Jared just couldn't see him. So, being scared made him disappear? Or was it just a spike in his heartrate? Would being extremely embarrassed, or excited, get him to disappear too? Well, he intended to find out.
Jared slowly walked to Tony, a sly grin on his face. Was he really about to do this? Pfft. Of course! He stopped only half a foot away from the boy, face to face. They were about the same height, so Jared could look him in the eye.
"Okay, Anthony. I'm going to try something here, just curious about your power. So... Don't freak out on me if I do something a little weird."
Okay, so, that made him sound like a creep. Oh well. Jared was just curious... About Tony's power, of course. You know, not if Tony got excited by his close proximity or anything like that...
Jared leaned in closer and grabbed one of Tony's pink-gloved hands. He pulled it up and placed it on his chest, right above his heart. He placed his hand over Tony's, still looking at the boy. He cocked his head, a crooked grin playing on his lips.
"I just want you to focus on my heartbeat. Can you do that?"

Anthony felt his cheeks heat up slightly as a pale pink spread across his cheeks. He nodded after a moment and relaxed, trying his best not to focus on the close proximity of their bodies at the current moment. And trying his very best to not notice that Jared was actually rather firm, from what he could tell. He tried his best not to focus too hard on the other's eyes, which were actually quite pretty...and tried his best not to notice his own heart was starting to flutter. It was hard to try to ignore all that, but he was most certainly going to try so he didn't make a total fool of himself in front of Jared. |

Jared's eyes flashed over to Connor in the corner, who had, thankfully, turned his back from the two. Of course he was still listening, how could he not with such great hearing. But, Jared didn't think he'd be saying too much more. Tony might, be he certainly wasn't.
Jared shuffled forwards until Tony's hand was the only thing separating their chests. He leaned forwards, close enough that their noses almost brushed. If he turned his head, he could kiss the lad. But, instead, Jared ducked his head down and kissed the boy's neck, right below his ear. Then again. He lifted his head slightly and gently nibbled on the boy's earlobe. So, this was one experiment that Jared found himself enjoying, perhaps a little too much. |

Tony's cheeks immediately turned a bright red as the other got closer, his own heartbeat speeding up. He allowed himself to shiver from the light kiss to his neck. He closed his eyes and curled his fingers into Jared's shirt, biting back a rather embarrassing sound when he felt the other's teeth grazing the skin of his earlobe. The poor thing had to lower his head, shivering again.
"J-Jared...?" he murmured nervously. What was he doing...? I mean, he was making it pretty darn hard to focus on just his heartbeat. |

Jared stopped kissing the other's neck for just a moment. Oh, that's right. Tony was probably 'wtf' about this whole thing. But, he hadn't pulled back. And he was blushing an awful lot. Just a little more and perhaps he'd disappear.
Or, the whole episode was pointless and Jared was kidding the lad for no reason. Well, he could think of a few reasons, but none of them helpful to the development of their powers.
"Just trust me." Jared whispered into Anthony's ear, pressing his body even closer. Jesus. How much of a heart rate spike did the kid need to disappear? Was he going to have to start stripping the boy down? Jared couldn't help but smile at the thought. That would be a sight to see.
"There's a point to this, I swear." Jared said, his voice even lower. He raised his hand and rested it on the other side of Tony's neck, leverage, so to speak. What would his mother think? Him kissing some guy he had just met not too long ago. Why, the lord must have been looking down on him right now!

Anthony shivered and clung to the other's shirt rather tightly, his eyes closed and his cheeks a vibrant red. After a moment, mostly to hide his embarrassment, he buried his face into the crook of the other's neck and shuddered, the boy beginning to fade in and out of sight. He chewed on his bottom lip and finally lifted his head again a moment later to stare up at the other male in a rather shy, confused manner. What on EARTH was he doing...? He wanted to know what the reason behind this madness could possibly be! |

Jared's chest hardened as Tony clutched onto his shirt. The boy closed his eyes, his cheeks flaming red. If it hadn't been such a serious moment, Jared might have chuckled at the boy's cuteness. But this was completely serious.
As soon as Tony started to flash in and out, Jared pulled back. Without thought, he pulled his hand from the boy's neck and rubbed his tingling lips. He looked back at Tony, giving him a sly grin as a response to his confused one. He leaned down and quickly pecked Tony on the lips.
"Just seeing what would make you disappear. I was wondering if it's an increase in heart rate, or based on emotions." Jared paused and put his palm on the boy's chest, attempting to find the pulse. "Damn. This'd be so much easier if Evan was here..." |

Tony's eyes widened slightly at the peck he received, vanishing completely and lifting a hand to brush a single finger across his lips. Was all of this...just part of an experiment on Jared's part...? He let go of the other's shirt and took a few steps back, flickering back into sight a couple times. He seemed almost...hurt by this, and it showed on his ex
pression when he flickered back into view. That...wan't nice...pulling him on a little string like that. He lifted his hands up to his own chest after a few moments and lowered his head almost dejectedly, lightly tugging at his bright pink armwarmers.
He was quite upset with Jared then, and he'd be darned if he forgave him without a good excuse from the offending party. |

Jared couldn't help but grin as Tony disappeared completely from view. So, a bunch of kissing and his body pressed against the lad's didn't make him vanish, but a quick peck on the lips did? He chuckled as he thought about it. It seemed kind of odd, to him, but hey, to each their own.
Jared glanced curiously at Anthony as he looked down, pulling at his arm-warmers. He looked... Upset? Maybe he thought what Jared did was cruel. Well, it could have been, if Tony felt anything towards him. Or thought Jared had feelings for him. Which might have been the case.
"Hey, Tony?" Jared said, taking a step forward. "Would it make you feel better if I said I really enjoyed doing that?" |

Tony looked up in an almost...accusing manner, flickering out of sight again. "Enjoyed doing what?" he muttered as he stepped back again. "Experimenting with me?"
The whole experimenting thing was a bit of a sore subject with him, since he'd been taken from a happy life and put through hell and back. Upon escaping, he'd wanted to find some way to be happy...but right now he was far from being happy.
He shook his head and remained out of sight after that and went to head to a different part of the warehouse to hide for a while until his emotions calmed. He was too upset at Jared to focus on anything, and instead simply let his body tell him where to go and what to do. |

Jared was genuinely confused by Tony's accusation. Though, it had been fairly correct. It was an experiment, yes, but he hadn't meant it badly. Hell, he probably wouldn't have stopped kissing and feeling up the boy if it weren't for Connor in the corner, getting all mopey over Evan. It just didn't seem fair.
Jared frowned after a moment. So, did Anthony think him and Evan were the only ones experimented on? No, that was far from true. Jared and Connor had it just as bad, but Jared chose to overcome it. He chose to use his feelings to help him understand more about himself, not mope in the corner.
But, they each had their own coping mechanisms. Jared chose to ignore the bad that happened to him. Connor chose to neither forgive, nor forget, always plotting his revenge. And Tony? He wasn't quite sure how Tony handled it.
Jared sighed as the boy walked away. Okay, maybe he was still extremely touchy about what happened to him. It made sense. He seemed like the emotional type. Jared would just... let him cool off. Though, that should have been hardly possible when he heard a cold voice pierce the silence.
"You done making out, lover boy? Or are you actually going to do something useful now?"
