At the word master, Jason's lips tugged in an amused smile. "Jason or Jace, if you prefer," he said as he shook his head. He watched curiously as she stuck her hand down to pet Kuro and sighed when she stopped just above his head. "Honestly, he's not going to bite. He's a little outcast like myself, he's so sweet," he said and Kuro flatted his ears and snarled at Jason, but the young man only chuckled. Perking his ears up again, Kuro stretched onto his toes and rubbed his snout, then the top of his head, along Anna's hands, liking the feel of her warm palm better than Jason's cold complexion.

Anna gave a small gasp as it did that, almost pulling her hand back, but she didn't. She reached down further and stroked it from its snout to its ears, before pulling her hand back slowly and standing straight. She looked at 'Jace', as she was now to call him, then back at the fox. ''I know he won't hurt me now, ma-Jace...'' She changed her words quickly, not liking to anger him on her first day by calling him something he had asked not to be. But she'd never had a master who had told her not to call him master... this new master was definitely... strange, to say the least.
Well now. I should... Probably put something intelligent here. At some point. Eventually. ... ... Screw it. HYE. ♥

Ooc; I keep reading this and thinking I've replied to it. xD Bic; His eyes seemed to soften from their usual outlandish appearance as she spoke to him. He hesitantly placed his hand on her shoulder and looked down at her eyes. "I won't hurt you, either. I'm what vampires call a loner and I lost a bet with a friend which landed me with a slave; you. Consider yourself a companion and a protector to Kuro and myself," he said before removing his hand. He scratched at his chin and looked down at her bare feet again. "Perhaps we'll stay out of the forest for now," he commented to himself, and half to her as he began to walk from the forest. Kuro disagreed with a small snort, but he waited dutifully for Anna to begin moving first.

[[That's ok. :3 I thought it was my failness at rps. |D]] Anna caught her breath as he put his hand on her shoulder, wondering what she had done wrong now, fear evident in her eyes. When he spoke, though, she began breathing again. She listened to what he said carefully. She was only there because of a bet? Vampires were ever more wrong in her eyes. Betting over getting a slave? That was... just wrong. She followed after him, remaining silent for a moment as she pondered how to reply. ''I'm not... I'm not much of a companion, Jace, and I doubt I'd be a very good protector against anything a vampire couldn't handle...'' She trailed off. Why was she making herself appear worthless to him? If she did that, he may as well kill her to save himself the worry. But he'd said he wouldn't hurt her... shaking her head, she decided she couldn't trust him just because he said that. Words were just that. Nothing more.

Ooc; lol 'course that's not it. xD I just fail when it comes to my memory. Bic; Jason glanced back at her with eyes that were now a glossy, vibrant green. He shrugged at her and continued through the forest, finally breaking out of the thong of trees he and Kuro felt so comfortable in. "If you say so," he called back to her over his shoulder. He had made sure to feed before he'd gotten Anna, not wanting to be thirsty and well, have such easy prey around. He'd need blood in a few days or so, and he ran his tongue over his canines that were normal as of now. "There should be a few stores in the town south of here." Kuro ignored Jason's words and busied himself with nipping at Anna's heels to get her to move, deciding to brush against her leg once before trotting ahead of her.

Anna gave a slight jump as the fox nipped at her feet, and was glad it moved ahead. She knew it wouldn't hurt her, but it might have been stronger than it thought it was, and have drawn blood. She was glad to be back into the open, though, even if it was just to where more vampires could be waiting. ''I don't know, Jace. I have never been to this part of the country before.'' Her old master had sold her on in a place far away, to make sure she wouldn't be bought by someone who lived near him, and make him be forced to see such 'filth' again. She followed obediently a few feet behind Jace, wondering what he planned on buying. Maybe some food for the fox or something. Or maybe it was where he would get the shoes he told her he'd get for her. [[That's good. :3 The fact it's not me thing, not the memory. xD]]

"That makes two of us," Jason said as he glanced over his shoulder. He shrugged and wrapped his jacket around him again, not liking the feel of being out from his covering of trees. He continued through the dirt road they were walking on before meeting a shop that was selling shirts. "Here good?" he asked as he glanced down at her. "Pick what you want, but only what you need."

Anna stood next to him, slightly unsure of what to do. She'd never really had much freedom before, and had certainly never had a choice in what she got either. She didn't even know where to start. Glancing up to Jace again, slightly unsure, she spoke quietly, as she had been taught. ''Whatever you choose is fine.'' She mumbled. She didn't want to seem ungrateful, or weak, but she couldn't just forget all those years of having the idea that her opinion meant nothing, as did she, in the matter of a day. Maybe she'd never forget.
