"Yeah. Almost." Sarah said. She made a few marks on her paper, then set down her pencil.  "Mkay, done. Coming." she said, then hung up and drove to the party. She shyly started to walk up the walkway to Justin's house.

"Hey," Shay said.  "Wanna go to the dance with me?"  She was acting quite calm for something that was sort of a big deal.

"Cool.." Dylan said.

"Sure. We'll go with 'em," Shay said, but was surprised when he hugged her. She just sat there for a while, shocked, not doing anything. Then she got up, sliding out of Austin's grip.  "Well, um, I'm off for snacks and to see Tess. Bye."  She scurried off and told Tess what happened.

Dylan left while Shay talked with Tess.

Sarah rang the doorbell.

"Oh my gosh, he-he hugged you? Already? Wow." Tess said surprised too, "What did you do?"

Justin ran and got the door, he opened it, "Hey Sarah, I've been waiting for you. Come on in."

Austin sat there, shocked. Was it too soon to hug her? Did he weird her out? Stupid! He felt like an idiot!

"Just asked him to the dance. He said yes. Then hugged me. Awk-ward!" Shay said.

Sarah went in.  "Hi." she said.  She went upstairs and sat down on one of the stairs.

Dylan waited for Tess.[Upstairs, lul.]

Tess remembered she'd promised Dylan she'd be right back, "Shay, I got to go...talk to Dylan. Bye!" Tess raced up the stairs, she saw Sarah, "Hey! When did you get here? Who are you asking to the girls choice dance?"

Hilary sat there thinking, hmmmm, Ry, he could work. I guess. Where is he? She checked her phone, and looked at her contacts, should she call him?

Justin went back to the party, he sat next to Austin, "So, what's new man?"

Austin was still thinking about hugging Shay, "Oh, well nothin much, except....Shay asked me to the girls choice dance!"

"Wow, I'm so happy for you, no one has asked me yet, and I suppose the only girls left are Hilary, she's not really my type though, and Sarah, which could definetly work. If she asks me." Justin sighed.

"Okay, well thats too bad, see you around!" Tess raced up to Dylan. "I have a question."

Hilary decided to call Ry. She pressed the button, and heard ringing. She regretted calling him.

"It stinks to be a boy, because if it's a girls choice dance you have to sit and wait, and girls are shy, and don't like to ask people to dance." Justin explained to Austin.

"I agree." Austin said, only half listening to Justin, he was still thinking about Shay.

"Yeahhh? What's your question?" Dylan asked in reply to Tess.

Ry felt his cell phone vibrate.  He flicked it open and answered the call. "What?" he spat.

"Well, I was just wondering. If uhh, this means or, er, will you be erm, my." Tess coughed. She spat out the last word, "Boyfriend?"

"Um, I think I might have the wrong number, is this Ry?" Hilary asked.

"Yeah, it is.  Who the hell are you? And what are you asking my freakin' name for?!" Ry spat furiously.

"Hm... I'm not sure.  We'll find out at the dance, I guess," Dylan said, smiling.

"It's Hilary." She paused then really fast said, "Will you go to the dance with me?" She listened for his reaction. She grimaced at the thought of what he would say to her.

Tess smiled back hopeful.

"I would say hell no!" Ry said, then paused.  "But it's Girls' Choice. So I've sorta gotta. Fine.  Meet you there at seven."  He hung up quickly.

Dylan smiled, then rubbed his arm, thinking. Should I..? Or will I wait 'till the dance..?

Hilary smiled and put her phone back in her pocket, she was happy he'd said yes.

Tess said, "can't wait 'till tomorrow!"

Dylan walked through the mall with Tess at his side.  "So, should we go to the dress store first or the tux store?" he asked.

Ry sat at home.  He hated the fact that he had to go to the dance.  Let alone have to go to the dance with a girl.  Let alone the girl be someone who he hated. Well, Ry did hate everybody, anyways.

Shay waited at the mall entrance for Austin.  Where was he?  She checked the time.  He should've been her by now... she thought.

"Dress store, to get a tux, then get a tux that matches my dress!" Tess said excitedly." Come on!"

Hilary called Ry, at firast she hesitated but decided to go through with it. They needed to pick out outfits.

Austin knew he was running late so he grabbed his keys, and drove really fast. He got to the mall and hurried to catch up with Shay. He stopped at a flower shop on the way there, and grabbed a dozen roses to make up for being late. He saw Shay. "Over here!" He said, hiding the roses, he ran over to her, "Sorry I'm late." He took the roses out from behind his back and offered them to her.
