Thornfire sighed. "I know you think it'll be Icepaw." He said. He even considered the silver she-cat at first, but why would StarClan choose an outsider? Sure, Icepaw may have come into the Clans when she was a mere 5 moons, but he always believed that StarClan favored bloodlines. But there had been plenty of times when cats would betray their birth Clan, and Icepaw stuck rigidly to the warrior code, just like any other apprentice.

"Hm, thought you were acting weird." Icepaw brushed her tail against his shoulder in a comforting way. "Did Songfern and Sandstream act weird?" She asked, then saw Thornfire and Dawnfrost over Hawkpaw's head. Leaning in, she whispered "Thornfire and Dawnfrost are giving us awfully strange looks." She mewed. 

Hawkpaw shook his head in reply to her question.  Then he swiveled his head around to look at Dawnfrost and Thornfire.  "They... they are?  They are.  I mean, they are giving us looks."  Turning back to Icepaw, he was thinking long and hard about the prophecy.  "Do you think it's them?  Are they chosen?  We should go investigate!"

Dawnfrost smiled.  "I think it's both of them, not just Icepaw.  Hawkpaw has just as good of a chance of getting the prophecy as her.  And they've been awful chatty today." she mewed.  If it was both of them, it was pretty matchy about the fact that it was two older cats and two younger cats.  Even matchier was that it was two females and two males.  Was that a coincidence?  Hm... most likely not.

Thornfire shrugged. "It wouldn't hurt to ask." He grumbled, starting off towards them.

"Or maybe they'll tell us off for being so talkative!" Icepaw mewed nervously. "Eek! Here comes Thornfire now, and he doesn't look too happy!" Well, he never looks happy... A voice rang in her mind. 

[[ fail ono ]] 

Dawnfrost padded after him, eventually getting to the apprentices.  "Have you two had any big events this morning?" she asked calmly.  Hopefully they'd tell the truth instead of lying to cover up the prophecy... I mean, it would be better so we can know and start our journey.  Except how is this whole journey thing going to work out?  Shall they talk with Spottedstar?  Because the whole Clan would notice that they were missing, and all four of them would need travel herbs which can only be supplied by a medicine cat.

"Or not.  I mean, we're just going to ask them a question then get an answer and leave," Hawkpaw started, but Thornfire and Dawnfrost were coming along.  Oh CRAP-- Wait, what's Dawnfrost saying?  Well, yes, I have had an event.  The prophecy!  They are pretty much definetely the other two!  Hawkpaw made a signal of brushing his tail against Icepaw's flank to tell her that they could be the Warriors they were searching for!

Thornfire decided that he shouldn't say anything, afraid of scaring the apprentices. He was never good with them, and his first apprentice, Talonstrike, was living proof. The younger warrior always gave Thornfire nervous glances, evne after the warrior ceremony. Thornfire sighed at the unhappy memory. Why would StarClan choose the apprentices and him, knowing that he was terrible with younger cats?

"Um, what sort of event?" Icepaw asked, trying to sound vague. They could be interested in training techniques. Blurting out the prophecy could wind them up inside the medicine cat's den instead of a wonderful journey... 

"Like... something special.  Super-special.  It happens right before you wake up," Dawnfrost explained coolly.  She tried to keep herself from getting too deive and blurting out everything.  Plus, she might creep out the apprentices if they weren't chosen.

Hawkpaw was glad Icepaw had said something, for he had no idea what to say.  It was just a moment of utter silence for him.  Except his excitement was just over the roof about his whole journey thing.

(Phail.)

Thornfire made a little cough. He was tired of this pointless chit-chat between she-cats. Toms were much more blunt, or at least, he was. "What we're saying is," He began, stepping forward. "Did you two have an odd dream?"

Icepaw was taken aback by Thornfire's straightforwardness. He really wasn't ashamed of himself. It was a trait that would either be admired or laughed at, but Icepaw did admire his courage. She decided to tell the truth now, nervously glancing at Hawkpaw.

"Well, my... My mother visited me in my dreams, telling me to go to the 'place where the sun brings light to the world'." She didn't decide to say Hawkpaw's part of the story, in case the apprentice didn't want to talk about it. 

"And we have to find Moon-star and Star-moon there!" he said openly.  "We have to go on a big journey.  There'll be four of us.  Are you guys chosen, too?"  Too late he realized that maybe spilling out everything wasn't exactly a good thing.  But oh well.  It was too late now anyways and at least they'd get to know if they were the remaining two prophecy cats.

Dawnfrost somehow knew Thornfire would do that.  It was anticipated.  But then Icepaw and Hawkpaw both gave out information similar to hers and Thornfire's.  "Yes, yes, that's exactly the dream.  We had it, too.  So... this is the group of the chosen?  Interesting bunch StarClan picked.  A good bunch," she said happily.

"Would Spottedstar approve, though? With ShrubClan cats entering the borders, a war could break out!" Thornfire interjected. Sandstream had informed of what happened in the border patrol, could SkyClan afford to send these four cats off on a journey?

Icepaw's spirits had been rising with each word Dawnfrost said, but her ears fell when Thornfire pointed out the fact that ShrubClan has been stealing SkyClan's prey. She looked uncertainly from the two warriors to Hawkpaw.

"Maybe we should ask Spottedstar after all..." She mewed. 

"All too true..." Dawnfrost sighed.

---

"But we have to go! We HAVE to!!" Hawkpaw insisted.  "Maybe it's to save the world."  He was going on this journey and so was everybody else.  It was meant to happen.  So they must go.  Must.

Dawnfrost gave a threatening look to Hawkpaw that shut him up for the moment.  "I guess we'll have to ask Spottedstar.  Shall we do it right now, at this immediate moment?"

"Well, Songfern's with Spottedstar at the moment." Thornfire shrugged, after giving Hawkpaw a warning look aside Dawnfrost.

"We can wait... Right? How will the Star-moon and Moon-star help our clans, anyway?" Icepaw asked. 

"Isn't Songfern over there?" [she left by now o3o] Hawkpaw piped up, swiveling his ears to face towards a sitting Songfern on the edges of camp.  "So we can go see Spottedstar now, right?"

Dawnfrost sucked in her breath.  "Well... I dunno... Maybe this whole thing isn't a good idea.. perhaps Spottedstar will decline..."  Dawnfrost wanted to go on the journey as much as any other cat would, but she also had her doubts.  Plus she would always obey her leader's words.  Answering Icepaw's words, Dawnfrost added, "But, Icepaw, if it's a prophecy from StarClan the journey must be important.  And so must Star-moon and Moon-star, whoever and whatever they are."

"Well, I guess we should go talk to Spottedstar now." Thornfire mewed uneasily. "But it should just be Dawnfrost and I. I don't want you two to mess things up by saying the wrong thing." Thornfire meant his words to be practical but kind, but they came off sounding a bit aloof and condescending.

Icepaw shrugged. She knew better than to argue with the strong tom. "I don't mind that, c'mon, Hawkpaw." She said, standing up and stretching.

Hawkpaw huffed annoyedly.  He wanted to go too!  But he then got up and went along with Icepaw.  Thornfire was pretty strong enough to knock him off his feet in an instant, so it was better that he not mess with the large tom.

Dawnfrost got up and started towards Spottedstar's den.  She looked back at Thornfire with a face that said, 'Are ya comin'?' in a nice way.

Thornfire ignored Dawnfrost's look and padded forwards, easily passing her and then launching himself up the rocks towards Spottedstar's den. Without waiting for Dawnfrost, Thornfire padded into the leader's den.

"...Spottedstar?" He began uneasily. [[ Wait, who's gonna RP Spottedstar for the moment, and what gender is our leader? xD ]]

"Well, I'm glad you know better than to go against Thornfire, Hawkpaw." Icepaw purred. She circled a rock that was basked in the sunlight and lay by it, realizing how tiring her training with Hailfoot was. 

"I could take him any day," Hawkpaw strutted, but on the inside he knew better.

Dawnfrost padded quickly ater Thornfire and stood beside him in their leader's den.
Spottedstar looked up at the two warriors that stood before her.  "Yes, Thornfire?"

Icepaw guffawed. "You? Take him?" She repeated. "Thornfire's the best warrior! I'm sure you can take him on in a few moon's time." She shrugged.

Thornfire looked at Dawnfrost. He couldn't think of a way to deliver StarClan's message without coming off looking like a complete fool.

"We had a message from StarClan, Spottedstar." He mewed.
