"Whatever," Hawkpaw snorted.  So what?  In a few moons, right now... same thing.

Dawnfrost nodded to their leader to confirm Thornfire's words.
"Hm.. What was this message?" Spottedstar asked.
Dawnfrost knew this was her turn to speak.  "Well, one of our parents came in and said that we had to find Star-moon and Moon-star and that we have to go to the place where the sun brings light to the world.  They also told us there were four chosen cats in our Clan chosen to go on this journey.  And we recently found out that it was Thornfire, Hawkpaw, Icepaw, and I."
"What an interesting prophecy..." Spottedstar said, trailing off.  Her thoughts consumed her for a moment, then she continued.  "What with ShrubClan's stealing, I'm afraid of a battle, and losing the Clan's only apprentices and two of their best warriors would be a great disadvantage to us.  Though, if this prophecy is truly important and StarClan themselves came down at this time... I suppose you should go."  The she-cat looked up at the two warriors.  "You have my word.  Though, I would also speak with Hallowtail if I were you about getting those travel herbs.  And about some helpful medicine along the way."

Thornfire couldn't believe his ears. Spottedstar was allowing them to go! "Thank you, Spottedstar." Thornfire mewed, dipping his head in respect to their leader. He got up and waited for Dawnfrost to follow suit. They needed to set off as soon as possible.

Icepaw rolled her eyes again and settled down, watching Spottedstar's den while twitching her tail. "What's taking them so long?" Icepaw mewed impatiently. "I hope Spottedstar isn't giving them any trouble or anything like that." 

Dawnfrost nodded in respect and bounded out of the den in happiness.  Spottedstar was letting them go!  What a wonderful journey this shall be!  Ooh, what will happen?  Mystery, adventure, fun!  SO MUCH FUN!  She breezed past Thornfire and hurried into the medicine den to wait for the others.

Hawkpaw sat down and flicked his tail impatiently.  "I have no idea.  Just ask a question and get an answer, that's all it is!" he said.  Looking over to the den once more, the warriors exited.  Thornfire in a normal fashion, and Dawnfrost being a bit too happy about something.  "I take it that she said yes...?" he assumed from the she-cat's exuberance.

"Yeah, let's go, Hawkpaw!" Icepaw said, nudging Hawkpaw and then bounding out towards the medicine cat den.

Thornfire rolled his eyes. At least she contained her excitement until they were out of Spottedstar's den. When they reached the medicine cat's den, Thornfire poked his head in.

"Hallowtail?" He mewed. "Spottedstar sent us to get some travelling herbs, will that be alright?"  

Hawkpaw sprinted after her and had to skid to a halt in the medicine den, rustling up some herbs.  Hallowtail narrow his eyes at the apprentice, then proceeded to sort the herbs.  Hawkpaw shrugged it off, not thinking much of the incident.

Dawnfrost added, "And perhaps some pointers about basic herbs to help us?"  The medicine cat would likely choose her to tell since the others probably wouldn't want to do it.

Hallowtail said, "Yes, I may get you those.  And Dawnfrost, that shall be alright." He got four bundles of herbs ready for each of them.  "Eat these, each of you," he said, pushing one bundle in front of each cat.

"BLECH," Hawkpaw said, disgusted.  "I am NOT eating THAT."  Hallowtail lightly cuffed his ears, clearly annoyed already by the apprentice.  Hawkpaw hissed slightly at the medicine cat, then ate the yucky herbs.  They tasted TERRIBLLEEEEEE!

Dawnfrost ate her herbs with only a slight wince to the taste, but she didn't protest much.  Hallowtail went to talk with her about the basics.
