((That's alright, mine too :P ))
Yuki shook his head. The pain had gone done, as did the shock of the attack. He didn't really understand why the two of them were being so nice to him, after all they weren't friends or anything, he didn't even know them.
He instinctively raised his hand to his face to push up his glasses like he always did when he was nervous, but they were not there. The boy sighed, he would have to go home without them, how would he find his bus?
Not only that, but he had to explain to his father when he got home that he would need a new pair, that wouldn't go over too well. Also, he couldn't possible take the advice from Will and ask for contacts, even though the older boy took the time to worry about him.
Will placed his hand on the boys hair and gave it a reassuring ruffle.
"I'll help you out today, but just this once,"the boy warned,"If this happens again you're on your own."
Yuki didn't reply, he just nodded and looked down. Will will be looking out for him today, it will be alright until he gets home.

Charlotte fought back a giggle when Yuki tried to push up his glasses, but the ob ject wasn't there. It was actually a bit sad, she reminded herself, not funny. She pushed her curly hair behind her shoulders and watched as the older boy ruffled Yuki's hair. She thought that the two would be good friends.
The girl ran her hand through her own hair and sighed. This Will boy was full of surprises, wasn't he? He even said he'd help out the younger boy. He just seemed too kind to be true. And he was handsome, she noted. Her mother would have pressed her to become close with him had she been there.
She turned to Will. "You're really nice for helping him out. I feel like I should help you out, too," she said, turning to Yuki. "If you need some help with finding things, and William isn't around, if I'm around, you're welcome to ask me for help."
She gave the boy a reassuring smile, flashing her straight, white teeth.

"I wasn't helping him out for his sake," Will replied nonchalantly,"He would just cause problems for other people, that's why today is an exception."
At hearing this the younger boy's frown returned, so he wasn't really doing this for him? Or maybe it was just an act so he didn't admit he was really kind? However, his face showed no emotion, he was either a good liar or telling the truth. Yuki didn't understand that boy, he was complicated. He said one thing and did the other.
Well, it's not like he had to understand, it was only for today, then things would return to normal.
"Yea, that's right,"Yuki said with a fake smile,"It's only for today, after that I will be fine. I'm not usually this...way. It was just because they got smashed,..."

Charlotte's face dropped when Will said that he wasn't helping Yuki for his own sake. She rolled her eyes discreetly. Will was probably helping the kid out for his sake, but he just wanted to seem cool so he said he wasn't. Well, at least that's what she thought. She'd seen it happen many times before at previous schools. She let her lips curve into a small grin.
She turned to Yuki as he spoke again. So Yuki wasn't usually this way. That was good. If he went through something like this every day, the poor dear would end up most likely having an emotional breakdown- a more serious one than he had earlier in the class period. Her dark eyes closed for a moment as she sighed.
She turned to Will, and then back to Yuki. It was such an awkward time when you couldn't figure out what to say... What was she trying to say... Oh, gosh. Here it came. She finally got her words straightened out.
"Do any of you have geometry next hour?" She cocked her head to the side, her eyes darting between Yuki to Will. It was a simple question- one that she hoped would be answered without any dodging. Or sarcasm. She'd never been a huge fan of sarcasm.
Due to growing up in a french household, her parents never really taught her about sarcasm. She still got confused when people used it.

"Yeah, I guess." Will replied.
"She is a little strict," Yuki informed,"However, she really knows what she is talking about and I think she only acts that way for the students to actually study and learn."
"People who are at the top of the class shouldn't have an opinion," the older boy growled. Yuki laughed nervously,"I guess that's true."
Yuki looked over at Charlotte, she was a lot easier to understand than Will. She was generous, caring, and beautiful. He felt bad lying to her, things like today happened to him a lot, and guys constantly picked on him because he was small and cute, an easy target quick cash. She was sweet to him the whole situation he had today, so he felt if she knew the truth she would feel bad. He felt something he never felt before when he looked at her, although something told him Will felt the same.
Will was always composed and indifferent. He was the basketball star and someone the girls would gossip about. Although, he never seemed to share in interest in them so they gave up. Yuki never seen him like this, he doesn't appear to be so composed anymore, Yuki's guess was that Charlotte was the cause.
Yuki sighed, if that was the case he would never have a chance to confess to her. If he did, she would either let him down or accept, although the first was in his favor. Also, if she did accept his feelings, he didn't know what Will would do. Although, he had never confessed to anyone in his life, however he had a hunch Will hadn't either.
Well, first things first. He had to find out if Will fell for her or not.

So it seemed that Will would have next hour with her. Well, at least she could ask him for help if she needed it. There was no telling if he would actually help her or not, though. She scratched the back of her head and then placed her hand in her pocket, chewing on her lip again.
Yuki gave her a bit of information, but she wasn't sure if he had geometry with her or not. She was thankful, though. Most of the more strict teachers seemed to like Charlotte more, given that she did all of her work, and turned it all in on time. After all, she had to have a backup plan for a career. Though she had a feeling her modelling one wouldn't flop. She had a photoshoot that evening, actually.
She felt herself get a bit angry as Will said that people at the top of their class shouldn't have an opinion. She actually came up with a good remark to that. She had to defend Yuki. If he didn't defend himself, nobody would. Except her. She felt like a big sister now.
She planted her heel-clad feet on the ground, crossed her arms, and gave Will a fiery look- one that was rarely found on her face. "Now, William, everyone deserves an opinion. If all the smart people never spoke their mind, the whole world would be ridiculously stupid." It was true. Plus, she felt like Will had insulted her a bit. She had been at the top of her class at all of her old schools.
The girl wasn't sure what she felt for Will. It was bordering on hate. Perhaps he would be her rival. Well, she took that back. She couldn't hate anyone. She couldn't judge people until she knew what their entire life had been like. Her dark eyes kept themselves focused on Will's green ones.
She knew what she thought of Yuki already: He was an intelligent boy. He was innocent, a bit timid, and small. However, with some hearty food and a bit of exercise, she was sure he would grow. maybe in a few years, he would grow into his large blue eyes. Either way, she could already tell that she felt like a sister to him, though she'd only known him for just under an hour. And what did older sisters do?
They defended their siblings. Just what she was doing right then.

((the hatred zone and the sibling zone, ouch :3 ))
Will grunted and turned his gaze, he was bored with the conversation. Getting lectured by a pretty girl rubbed him the wrong way, since she was cute she was probably pretty stupid with her studies, sure she talked a good talk but so did a ton of others. He didn't need to be yelled at by the likes of her.
"I'll help you out since we have next period together,"Yuki suggested,"Will will help too, won't you Will?"
"What a pain,"he continued to stare across the room.
Yuki laughed nervously,"He's always like that, so don't let it bother you. Although this is the first time I have talked to him, we've been in the same classes since primary school, right Will?"
"I guess," he replied, uninterested.
Good, Yuki thought, Will is acting like himself again. Maybe I was mistaken.

Ooc:// It said her feelings for will were 'bordering' on hate. But, in the words of Melissa Marr, love and hate are so similar, sometimes they're indistinguishable. ;3
And she just can't help but think of Yuki as a younger brother. She loves kids, and to her, Yuki's like a little kid. Plus, she's an only child, so she's always craved to have a sibling. XD
Bic://
Charlotte-Marie was glad that Yuki would be willing to help her, though she was still a bit miffed about Will turning away from her. He didn't even respond to her. It wasn't like she had lectured him or anything, had she? Well, sometimes she got out of control. But what she had said was true. Completely and utterly true.
She gave Yuki a warm smile, but turned to Will as he said, 'What a pain.' What she wouldn't give to tackle him and choke him. Did he say that she was a pain? Or that helping her was a pain? Or did he mean that Yuki was a pain. Either way, it made her want to throttle him. She clenched her fists, her red-painted nails digging into her palms.
In her angry state, Charlotte turned to Yuki and said, "Thanks for offering to help, Yuki. I don't think I'll need Will's help anyways." She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. "He doesn't seem to want to help me, so I won't force him." Her dark eyes shifted back to Yuki.
"The bell should ring any minute now," she said, her smile just then fading.

((I like it better that way than relationships at the beginning because it is more interesting and frankly more realistic. :D ))
"Figure it out on your own," with that Will left the room.
"Let's go, Charlotte,"Yuki said hurriedly to let Will off the hook,"We should get going since the bell is going to ring."
He jumped off the mattress and grabbed her by the wrist, then paused.
"Please don't get mad at Will,"he stared fixated on the ground,"Will is always cold and antisocial. You see, he used to be normal and have tons of friends in primary school. However, right when it was time to go to middle school, he moved away. He came back for high school, and he was changed."

Charlotte didn't expect Will to just up and leave like that. Either way, she didn't mind. She would have next hour with him, anyways. Unless he decided to skip. She had no doubt that he would be the kind of person to do that. If he did decide to skip, and she found him during a bathroom break or something, she'd tote him back to the classroom herself. Save him from getting busted by the teachers.
She considered it a common courtesy.
The dark-haired girl's eyes widened as Yuki grabbed her wrist. What was it with these people grabbing her wrist!? She didn't mind and all, so long as they didn't haul her somewhere against her will, but that was the second time in the past hour that her wrist had been grabbed.
Her dark eyes turned to look down at Yuki. He was... trying not to tell her to get mad at Will?
She wasn't mad at him. A bit frustrated and curious, but not mad. Her curiosity was satiated when Yuki explained what happened with Will. He used to be popular, huh? It was an odd thought. Now he seemed like a social outcast. She was sure that if he wanted to make friends, he would have no problem with it- if he fixed his attitude, that was. He was an attractive young man, and Charlotte had no doubt that many girls followed him around because of his cold, hard demeanor mixed with his good looks.
Most guys just followed her around because she looked pretty. To them, she was probably nothing but a trophy. Something to be won. She was not a prize, though. She was a person. And people had to get her to like them in order for her to even consider dating them.
"Thank you for telling me that, Yuki," Charlotte-Marie said, smiling. "I'm not mad at Will. He just makes me frustrated. And I've only known him for an hour. I try my best to be nice to everyone."

"That's a relief," Yuki sighed,"Will isn't a bad person, I think. I don't know what happened to make him change, but something must have happened." Yuki stared at Charlotte with admiration. Even with Will treating her like he did and her not knowing anything, she wasn't mad with him. At that moment he realized he really did love her. Although, he wasn't sure was kind of love it was. The boy was never in a relationship before, so he questioned how he knew he loved her in that way. Could it be that the love he felt for her was that a brother would have of a sister? How would he know? Truth be told he was an only child, so he didn't know the love of a sibling. However, would that love be similar to what he was feeling now? Also, did Will really fall for Charlotte? And if he did, what should Yuki do about it? Should he interfere? Should he support Will with his confession? The boy shook his head, he didn't know what he should do. No, that wasn't right. He knew but he wished he didn't. "Well,"he said, beaming,"We should go."

Charlotte watched as Yuki stood for a moment, looking at her with what she thought was adoration. She was happy to have someone look up at her like that. It felt good to seem like a role model, and not just a model. Yuki reminded her of a sibling that she would never have, yet she would always wish for.
As the boy beamed up at her, saying that they should go, the bell that dismissed the classes sounded, and Charlotte agreed. They should go. Especially since she had to go back to the classroom and pick up her books. Yuki did, too.
"I'll take you back to the classrooms, since you don't have your glasses," she said, giving him a smile that told him not to worry. She began to walk towards the classroom. Seeing as how he still had a hold of her wrist, he had to follow.
Ooc:// Holy fail.

Yuki followed blindly, occasionally tripping. Next period was about to start, Geometry. He wondered if Will would be there, waiting, or just wandering about, not planning to show. At times the dark-haired boy seemed to care so much about his grades, and others he acted like a delinquent, skipping and hanging out on the roof of the building. Yuki couldn't figure him out.
The small boy sighed, letting himself be led into the spacious classroom. Yuki squinted, searching for the familiar shape of the green-eyed boy. Will was nowhere to be found.
Yuki looked up at Charlotte for an explanation or some hint as to how they should react to his absence. Should they try to find him or let him be? If Charlotte wanted to go, should he go as well? Or should he leave them alone so they can get to know each other better?
The boy closed his eyes, knowing the answer.
"You should go after him," then he added quickly,"Just make sure to return before class is over."

Charlotte grabbed her books and looked down at Yuki as he spoke. She hadn't expected him to start speaking. However, she didn't regret his speech. At least he was courageous enough to speak to her. She gave the young boy a smile as she angled herself so that she was facing him.
"You really think I should go after Will?" She raised a brow, chewing on her bottom lip. She thought for a moment. Will was strong, and possibly mad at her. If he was angry enough, he could snap Charlotte-Marie like a twig with a single hit. Charlotte was pretty, smart, and charismatic, but she was not strong by any means.
"I'll be sure to be back before class ends. If you need help with something, don't be afraid to ask someone nearby." She pointed her index finger at the blue-eyed boy before walking off with a sigh.
She began her search. Since it was her first day at school, she didn't know where she would look to find Will. Where would skipping students retreat to? The bathrooms? Hopefully not. Those smelled horrid, and probably looked horrid, too. That was the reason why Charlotte didn't use public bathrooms unless she absolutely had to.
She turned a corner, her eyes scanning the halls for Will's tall, green-eyed form.

Will snatched to keys to the roof from some upperclassmen. They had been unwilling to give it up, but he...negotiated with them.
He received some scrapes and a cut to his lower lip, but that was nothing compared to the pounding they received.
Will unlocked the door, stuffing the key in his rear pockets. Swinging the door open, not even bothering to close it as he lay down on the hard roof. The boy closed his eyes and let his mind go blank, feeling the breeze through his hair.
This had always been his getaway place. The roof was his base, his hideout for when he wanted to get away from reality. He would often ditch class to escape to his safe haven.

Charlotte walked the halls for a while, becoming hopelessly lost in no time. Her determined ex pression became weaker and weaker with each turn she took still not finding Will. Eventually, her determination faded to the point where you couldn't see it on her face.
She found an open door, and her feet carried her up there without her fully being conscious of where exactly she was going. She climbed the stairs until she found another door. As she opened the door, she was met with sunlight that streamed onto her face.
She squinted her eyes and adjusted to the bright light rather quickly. Where was she? She walked out onto the roof and saw what it was, whimpering now that she realized that she was on top of the school. The winds weren't too strong, thankfully, and she scanned the area.
Bingo.
Her eyes rested on the brown-haired figure of a boy laying down on the surface of the roof. His eyes were closed, but she could tell by his muscular build that this was Will. She chewed on her lip, trying to swallow her fear of heights.
At least he wasn't near the edge of the roof, Charlotte-Marie thought to herself. She walked across the roof, her heels lightly clicking on the floor.
She sat down beside Will after a while, sitting indian-style.
"Will," she said, finally looking over to him. That was when she noticed the scrapes on his face, and the cut on his lip. "Who.... who did this to you?" she asked, her eyes taking on a look of sympathy. "You need to get those cleaned." She put her hand lightly on his bicep.

"I just borrowed the roof key from some thugs."
He didn't need her sympathy, only kids like Yuki needed her kind words. Will was the one who picked the fight, he deserved some scrapes.
"You shouldn't be skipping class, it will ruin your reputation," suddenly Will snapped up into sitting position,"Where's Yuki? You didn't leave him alone did you?"
His tone was serious, deep with concern as he searched Charlotte's eyes. He couldn't believe she left him to fend for himself, just to go looking for Will.

Charlotte furrowed her brows at his diction. Borrowed was not the right word, she suspected. Still, she kept the look of sympathy in her eyes. She looked down on him until he sat up.
She had no reason to worry about her reputation. She had already developed quite the reputation, and it was only her first day at school. It was odd. At her old school, she had been popular, but she had to work for her ti tle. Here, it just seemed as if all she had to do was show up.
"Yuki told me to come find you," Charlotte said, her face turning to curiosity as his tone changed. He seemed serious, worried, concerned.
"And right now, he's fine. He's in class. Nobody will bother him while the teacher's around. You've got cuts and scrapes on your face that need to be tended to." She sighed. This would be the second time going to the nurse's office. "You need to get them cleaned before they get infected and leave scars." She let her dark eyes stare into Will's green ones.
"Please, Will. I don't like to see when others are hurt. If you don't want the nurse to touch them, I'll tend to them myself."

"Are you kidding me?" he asked full of anger,"Yuki gets bullied every time I take my eyes off of him. That kid's a bully magnet, you leave him for one second and some upperclassmen will jump him just to see him squirm."
Will jumped up and started rushing out of the door that let him exit the roof.
Yuki really annoyed Will, the way he was so weak and fragile, but that also made him want to protect the blue-eyed boy. He would watch over him and threaten any who came near the boy with harmful intentions. He would do so from the shadows, not wanting to hurt the small boy's feelings if he found out he was being protected like a kid.
However, this time he would openly protect him. If anyone touched a hair on his head, Will would pound them.
