Charlotte shook her head as Will simply ignored her and kept running, even though she'd yelled at him. Heels were not for running in, and she tripped several times. Still, she hadn't fallen, which was a miraculous feat. Once she reached the floor that the Geometry classroom was on, she ran more easily. Her long legs carried her quickly, but she wasn't as fast as Will.
When she rounded the corner that led into the classroom, she spotted Will and Yuki looking at each other again. She then directed her attention to the teacher, who, luckily for her, was teaching away at the marker board, not looking at her.
Thank god that she hadn't been noticed. The last thing she needed on the first day of school was a warning for being late to class. After so many of those, you got a detention.
She took her seat as Will looked away from Yuki. She didn't pay attention to the teacher. She just looked at Will, her cheeks red from running, and slightly angry with him for running from her when she tried to explain to him.
She still felt bad about him getting into a fight just for the keys to the roof, but she would have to talk to him later. At that moment, the teacher was deep in a lesson about finding the missing measure of a weird-looking eight-sided figure.
Charlotte had learned that last year at her old school, so she wasn't missing out on anything.
