"Now, we wait." Raavol said.

Valkyrie awoke to the sound of music. He shook his head to clear his vision and looked around.
They were in what used to be a school hall and there were several large holes that had been patched up. The floor was bare except a huge red carpet, which appeared to be made from smaller ones, going along the length of the hall's middle. Several red flags and rugs were on the walls to tie in with the carpet. The windows and doors were covered up with tin or wood, so the only light came from hundreds of candles, lamps and Christmas lights along the sides of the hall. On the stage was the gigantic organ the music was coming from, being played by none other than Dredge himself.
Valkyrie was chained to the back of the hall and had dozens of Rats and the Bounty Hunter guarding him. No other Rats were in sight.

One of the Rats screeched up at Dredge to let him know Valkyrie was awake.
Dredge didn't even seemed to acknowledge the Rat's cry, he simply kept playing.
The Rat yelled up at Dredge again.
Dredge seemed to almost awaken. He gave the song a finale then got up from the Organ. "I do apologize for that Valkyrie, I can get quite lost in my music sometimes." He headed down the steps on the sides of the stage and walked down the carpet.
"It is okay, you play it quite well for an instrument from another planet." Valkyrie commented.
"Actually, we had an instrument very similar on Xexos, although it used metal rods and plasma to generate sound."
Valkyrie nodded, remembering hearing the instrument. "Your wrong by the way."
Dredge stopped a couple of meters from Valkyrie and tilted his head to the side slightly. "About what?"
"I do pay attention to what is around me."
Dredge seemed strangely relieved. "Take his chains off Goblinsong."

Valkyrie held up the shredded remains of his cloak, the noticed he still had his armor on. "What is the matter Dredge, couldn't you get it off?" Valkyrie asked, knowing that he wouldn't have been able to.
Dredge laughed. "You really think you are in a position to joke? I can and will kill you if you try anything, although I gather the feeling is mutual. However, if you did indeed plan on getting captured you must have some card to play?"
"Possibly." Valkyrie said, not wanting to reveal more.
Dredge sighed. "Very well, if that is how it is to be. Now, I'm guessing you would like to find out why I am trying to kill you?"
"That did cross my mind, yes."
"Goblinsong, show the Rats out please." Dredge said.

The Rats hissed at her and grumbled rude things, but they all scampered out the door.

"Now we can get down to business." Dredge sighed. "Valkyrie, I am not trying to kill you, I am simply trying to acquire the gauntlets of your Hero-class armor. If you happen to be dead when I collect them, so be it." Dredge said coldly.
"What use are they to you? You certainly seem to be well armed without such technologies." Valkyrie commented. He looked over at Goblinsong. "Plus you certainly have no shortage of lovely associates."

"Don't be, I was being sarcastic." Valkyrie smirked.
"Behave!" Dredge growled to both of them. He took a deep, mechanized breath and continued to walk. "True, I do have a rather large arsenal at my disposal, but it certainly wasn't easy to get it that way...two years. I have been stuck in this hole of an ecosystem for two years. I was pulled out of potentially ruling a city and thrust into a crumbling ruin populated by bizarre and dangerous predators pointing mid-evil weapons at me for using technology to breath. I must admit, I went slightly insane for several weeks, hiding away in the room I appeared-this room-crying and muttering. I discovered the organ under a tarp in one of the nearby classrooms on one of my mad wanderings and once I had played it but once I knew that my fate was not to die here, but to rise above the uncivilized nature of this age and simply play my music."
"As in threaten the Rats into joining you, become a bounty hunter so you could get technology to aid you in your efforts and once you had enough power get bounty hunters to work for you rather than with you." Valkyrie said.
"To a letter." Dredge commented.

"This still doesn't tell me why you want my gauntlets." Valkyrie said.
"I need them because although I have adjusted to this place I do not wish to stay here. I want to return to our time." He looked at Valkyrie. "I want to speak to civilized races, go to technology filled worlds and most importantly finish what I started! But to do all those things I need a time travel device, and luck would have it that you brought one with you."
Valkyrie panicked slightly as Ebony flashed through his mind, but then he realized he wouldn't need the gauntlets for her, which meant... "You need my gauntlets to kill Captain Raavol."
"I assume you are referring to the Noctyyr warrior, so yes." Dredge said, adjusting his mask.

Valkyrie shook his head. "What in the name of Skyyr could think I would allow you to murder one of my best Skyyrons, no, one of the best Skyyrons in the Skyyro army?"
"I didn't ask for your permission, in fact I didn't ask for anything! I had you captured because I am an Archipeliapian, villainy is in my blood and what is villainy without the plan-reveal to my enemy of the time! Although, you probably knew that, otherwise you wouldn't have risked allowing yourself to get captured. Speaking of which, you have yet to play your hand Valkyrie and I do so look forward to trumping it." Dredge finished with a crazy look beginning to appear in his eyes.
"Gambling references aside, my hand is actually yours." Valkyrie pulled his hands apart, ripping the handcuffs he was in like they were plastic. He simultaneously kicked Dredge in the wrist, breaking one of his gauntlets. He then leaped backwards into the air, somersaulting over Goblinsong and making a break for one of the sealed holes.
Dredge growled and immediately began to struggle to fix the crude device, broken tubes leaking a variety of liquids onto the floor, although most of it seemed to be water.

As Valkyrie expected, the tin was smashed apart and a cluster of Rats dashed at him, some looking slightly dazed. All the patched up holes were broken and Rats poured in, stumbling over bits of tin or wood. Some of the clusters had bazooka Rats, which pointed their guns at Valkyrie, but didn't fire because they were being bumped by the other Rats of their clusters.
Valkrie leaped onto the heads of several Rats, pushing off them so he could just grab onto the windowsill of one of the high-up windows which was boarded up. Damn, he may not have taken my armor of but it is definitely disabled-not that I need it.

Valkyrie yanked himself up onto the ledge. He managed to spin around just in time to 'catch' Goblinsong and slam her through the boards, creating an escape. "Thank you, so kind of you to show me the way out." Valkyrie said.
Rats crowded around Dredge who was clearly panicking and struggling to breath. He gasped something at the Rats and they backed off.
