"Ebony, I am 4017 earth years old, I do not need to be taught how to sit properly." Valkyrie said, doing the conversion in his head instantly.

If a man dedicates his life to good deeds and the welfare of others, he will die unthanked and unremembered. If he exercises his genius bringing misery and death to billions, his name will echo through the millennia for a hundred lifetimes. Infamy is always more preferable to ignominy-Fabius Bile

"Well I can assure you, I am not that...setik...and I am fully capable of sitting properly." Valkyrie said.

"No, you taught me to sit your way, not necessarily the right way." Valkyrie said.

"We are simply not doing things the right way." Dredge growled.
He was in his office, talking to Goblinsong through the closed door. The Rats were all running about on the first floor-where all the tills were situated-although some were riding up and down in the semi-functional elevators.
"We have not been exploiting our full potential, rather playing their game, a game of cat and mouse. We chased them, they hid inside their little fortress, they ran out, we chased them, they hid inside their little fortress-a game that suits them far more than us. We are simply going to change the rules, we are going to make them play our game." Dredge opened the door and stepped out. His attire was now a very dark green and over his jacket he was wearing a large, unbuttoned overcoat. In his right hand he carried a homemade sceptre made from silver rods. "and our game, is war."

"My way is the right way." Ebony said.

"Very well then." Goblinsong said, following Dredge out.

"For you, my way is the right way for me." Valkyrie said. "It is a matter of opinion."

Dredge headed down the stairs to the ground floor. He took one look at the mass of Rats running about randomly, fired some diesel onto the ground to his right and lit the diesel with the lighter attachment on his gauntlet. He stepped back just as the diesel exploded, frightening the Rats to attention. "I want a large team of Rats to go next door to the school and get my Gas Skull. I want it taken onto the roof by any means necessary-steal a crane if you have to!" I also want you to bring in the radio equipment I designed a few months ago, it should be in the art room, although I want that in hear, not on the roof. I would also appreciate it if you stopped mucking around! Now, get to it!"
The rats bickered between themselves for a few moments, then most of them moved off to the school. The rest went down into the sewers to get the rest of the horde or got to work rescuing the Rats now trapped in the elevators.

Ebony stuck her tongue out, having nothing to say to that.

Goblinsong shook her head at the rats. "And I?"

Valkyrie tilted his head. "How mature of you."

"You? I have no use of you at this moment, we are simply making the preparations for battle, the actual mindless violence will undoubtedly come later." Dredge said, walking over to the big glass wall at the front of the bank.

Ebony shrugged. "What's it to you?"

"Okay." Goblinsong said, watching him go.

"I was simply making a sarcastic comment." Valkyrie said.

Some of the Rats began moving rubbish out of the middle of the floor and plugging together extension chords. One of the first things Dredge had done was build a massive homemade electricity generator and wired it into the school and then the bank.
Dredge looked out through the wall, hands behind his back, going over all the things he was going to have to have, where they were going to be, and how many Rats he was going to lose.

"Ah, it's aramuk dialect, that explains why I haven't heard it before." Valkyrie said. "and I think it is a rather nice chuckle." Valkyrie smiled.

The Rats began bringing in radios, television, batteries, computers, aerials and other pieces of technology and began to set it up in a huge pile in the middle of the room. Dredge pointed where he wanted things, told them what was to plug into what and snapped at them when they did things wrong.

"You are quite welcome." Valkyrie said.
Raavol looked over at them from where he was sitting, sharpening his blade quietly.

Goblinsong watched the rats, her nose wrinkling slightly. Tech.

The Rats then brought in two huge towers constructed from several steel pipes, pieces from dozens of computers and a variety of switches and wires. The towers were topped with huge T.V. antennae. The towers were put on either side of the pile and hooked up to various pieces of technology, with only a few electrocutions.
After about ten minutes everything was more or less working and Dredge set about typing in things on the various keyboards, putting cables the Rats installed in the right places and finishing off the construct. Dredge then dismissed the Rat group and went over to Goblinsong.
"Isn't it marvelous?! Using ancient and damaged human technology that was salvaged from across the city I constructed this machine, a machine that was supposed to send a distress signal out into the galaxy, but lacks the power; so I changed it's design, took bits from it for various other projects, and discovered that it could broadcast to virtually any frequency and device in this hellhole! This device was how located new technological supplies, this device was how I got the assistance of several 'techies' during my quest to leave and this device will send a message throughout the city to say that if Valkyrie does not show up within one day I will destroy this entire city! I say it once more, marvelous!" Dredge finished, flicking a switch and powering on the machine
