Valkyrie bolted upright. "Raavol, are you getting this too?"
"It appears to be some sort of transmitter signal, it originates from next to the school. The signal is being broadcast across every wave length possible and appears to be receivable via most Earthen technology." Raavol replied.
"Dredge." Valkyrie growled.

Dredge sat down in a chair just in front of the machine. He pointed to a spot behind him where he wanted Goblinsong to stand, flicked on a camera he had attached to the pile, typed on several keyboards and adjusted the frequency on one antennae.

Goblinsong moved to the spot Dredge had pointed to.

"Techies." Ebony muttered.

"Raavol, can you play the message through your translator?" Valkyrie requested.
"As you wish." Raavol replied.

Dredge flicked a switch and the lights began to flash and the whirring and ticking noises coming from the machine increased dramatically. Dredge began to broadcast.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, mutated monstrosities of all ages! I am Dredge, a brilliant scientist and your worst nightmare. I am broadcasting because I require your assistance-two evil 'techies', two dangerous Aramuk and a dragon-creature elude me and continue to cause destruction throughout this city; I would like them brought to me. If they are not brought to me within one day I will use my Gas Skull machine to destroy everything and everyone within one hundred kilometers! If they are brought to me the persons responsible will receive an enormous reward. Valkyrie, as I know you are listening to this, you have every right to simply turn yourselves in and save the lives of thousands. I am in the 'First Bank' building next to 'Rosedale Elementary School'-that is the big white building next to the group of classrooms. Oh, and if anyone tries to deal with me for use to technology, you will have my associates to speak to." Dredge gestured behind him to Goblinsong. "One day." Dredge stopped the message.

"Two dangerous aramuk.... so.... they know about Zet?" Crawford said, frowning. "But how is that possib-" His ears drooped and his eyes widened as he clicked on to what it meant. "What!? But-but I'm not dangerous!"
Ebony huffed and shook her head at Crawford. "What's the Gas Skull machine he's talking about?"

"I have no idea, but when Dredge and I spoke he talked about 'playing his music' and how he was going to conquer a city before he came here. I think the Gas Skull is some kind of super weapon that will-as he said-destroy everything within one hundred kilometers." Valkyrie said.
"Would he use it?" Raavol asked.
"Yes, I believe he would..."

"I'd be more concerned about the fact you would be killed as well, along with absolutely everything else in that range." Valkyrie said.

"I don't think we should be debating how bad it would be if Dredge fired his 'Gas Skull', we should be figuring out a plan to stop him from firing it at all." Valkyrie said.

"How much of a view of the school did you acquire?" Raavol asked.
"I did not get a good look at it's layout, but it matters not. Dredge is extremely intelligent and must have figured out we wanted to locate his base, so he moved to a location we don't know." Valkyrie said.

"No need, he gave us directions." Raavol said, replaying the broadcast section talking about where he was.
"Dredge knows he can't beat us in hit-and-run warfare so he is drawing us out into the open to fight him openly-which is a fight we cannot win." Valkyrie said.

Raavol played the part of the conversation in the tunnels where Crawford remarked that there were several million Rats. "The sheer psychic might necessary is simply incomprehensible." Raavol said.
"He is right Ebony, even you can only accomplish so much, your mind would simply give out under the pressure. You might even spontaneously combust." Valkyrie said.

"Ebony, you are not powerful enough, no-one is." Valkyrie said firmly, ending the discussion.

Dredge turned from the communication device, which he was helping the Rats hurriedly disassemble, when he heard the Rats pulling up his grand creation in front of the bank. "Be careful, if there is so much as a scratch you will be experimented on until you are quivering piles of flesh and radiation!"
The Gas Skull, unlike the crude, haphazard communications device, was downright beautiful to behold. Although, beholding all of it was difficult. Over twenty meters tall the silver device towered over the hundreds of rats moving it. It was based on a sleek seven meter disc base inscribed with glowing blue runes that hovered above the ground due to the powerful anti-gravity engines inside the base. On top of the base was a five meter tall and thick tower that curved inward at the top, which had routine blue touch screens separated by glowing blue lines flowing from the base to the top of the whole structure. Coming from this was a two meter thick ten meter tall tower with the blue lines running up it with several hardly-noticeable maintenance hatches along it's length. On top was a massive satellite dish wider than the base, covered in the same glowing runes as the base. The dish supported a dozen massive black tanks clearly marked with warning runes. The tanks had hoses coming from the tops which connected to the thin spire in the middle of the tank circle, which made up the rest of the machines height.
