The Rats seemed to increase in activity-and numbers-as they seemed to have caught something's scent. A large amount of them were gathering around where Crawford had been before he shadow-formed (or whatever you would call it) and others were climbing onto rooftops to look out at the streets to see if they could spot the scent.

Suddenly a black drone floated around the corner, a terrifying growl-hum emanating from it. The drone was large, easily the size of a large dog, and floated a couple of feet above the ground. The drone was an ovoid that was longest from front to back, although it had two panels that came out of it's 'sides' which revealed glowing energy batteries and large gun barrels. The drone had a large purple eye on it's front and two large spikes which curved backwards came from the top of the eye, while two tiny ones came from the bottom. The drone was covered in blue lines that pulsed with energy and had several pieces of scrap metal attached to it in makeshift repairs. The drone lowered itself to near the ground and looked around, as if searching for Crawford, it's growl's pitch and volume changing. Finding nothing, it flew away again.

The massive drone returned, floating right up to the wall Crawford was on. It's growling increased in volume and it's pitch lowered dramatically, almost as if it was a predatory monster. It's guns moved about and it looked about before it's growl became high pitched and it flew off again, but this time it didn't go that far away.

The Rats activity increased dramatically, as if the mysterious drone had spurred them into searching again. They began sniffing frantically at the faint trail Crawford had left before he had gone shadow and searched in buildings and sewers for him. The drone ominously floated near Crawford as if it knew he was in the area.
