The spines of the foot-tall rats shot up as a prey item came into view. "Kill!" a scarred male shrieked as he fell back and let the wave of his kin figure out what kind of creature they were up against. The quilled rodents surged forward to engulf the metal-creature and bird with venom dripping from their fanged mouths.

"Good riddance." Raavol said. He fired a burst from his gun, slaying dozens of rats. The shards then exploded and made more shards, which exploded into more, which exploded into more, until the corridor was filled with black crystal shards. Rats were slain by the hundreds, but the shards were running out. Raavol fired another burst then started to head the other's way. (GTG goodnight)

Sorrel launched himself into the air and shot over the hoard. Gotta find their mage before he slips away.

A rat pounced onto Raavol's shoulder and clawed feebly at his armor. He grabbed it in his free hand (He is only using one hand to hold his gun since he isn't firing it) and crushed it. He swatted another one of his calf and stomped a third into the concrete of the sewers.

The Rat tide surged after the group, often being two or even three rat's high. Raavol was at the rear where he could deal with any extra fast rats, Valkyrie was just in front beside Ebony. "Man, that Crawford sure can run!" Valkyrie laughed, looking up ahead at the speeding Crawford.

The rat squealed in shock and died.

The rats began to jump at Raavol in twos and threes. He easily disposed of them, but they were slowing him down. Now groups of four and even five rats would jump onto him, being mercilessly killed without doing more than make a scratch, however, slowly but surely, the rats were going to overwhelm him.

Valkyrie pointed his arm back at the rats and fired a smoke bomb from his gauntlet, causing a large group of rats to stop-coughing and confused-and get trampled by their brethren. The rats began to also threw stones at Sorrel as they ran and jumped.

A few meters ahead there was a t intersection. "Which way?!" Valkyrie asked Ebony. Raavol pulled out his enormous Krassl blade with his free hand and sliced three rats running behind him clean in half. He cleaved another one on his leg in two.

The group turned right with the rats still surging after them. twenty meters away was a three-way intersection. "Which way this time?!" Valkyrie asked. A rat managed to jump up and grab Sorrel's leg.
