Zallion nodded slightly in agreement. He suddenly felt uneasy; he felt he was being watched. He glanced at Shetani and the other lioness's direction, knowing they were there. Kismet probably told Zhaine about this, and she'd have sent for them, too. He thought. Zallion turned to Ignition. "Iggie, would you like to join me for a walk? There's this lush, lovely place I know of, and you can accompany me there, if you like. I must talk to you.....privately." He hoped she would consent, for the content of his talk was one that concerned her and her pride's life. Kismet had decided it was best to tell Zhaine about this, but halfway to the den, he thought again, and decided it was best to shut his big mouth on this. Instead, he went to find Kalima. |

Shetani had heard what Zallion had said and ran out of where she was hiding.
"You may not go privetly." She replied with a slight growl. She then looked at Ignition and bowed her head slightly.
"I was asked to stay with you no matter what the cost. And that is exactly what I intend..." She said as she looked at the lioness whom she often thought of as the sister she never had.
Shetani then looked back at Zallion. "Please forgive my actions if you do not approve. But it is not you I do not trust... It is Your mother and most of the other lions and lionesses in your pride. I believe withing my heart that without a doubt, they would take advantage of you and Ignition alone, and do away with both of you as soon as they could." She said. Her tone was respectful and stern... Kiara had appointed her the task of watching over Ignition, there fore she'd do it, even at the cost of her life.

Zallion looked at Shetani. Just as I thought; they'd never let us go. "Look, I've to have a few words with Ignition here, whether you want it or not. It concerns her, me, literally all of us." He said in a firm, yet controlled tone. Then, he led the way, for Ignition, to the place he knew of.

Ignition followed Zallion and glared back at Shetani, hissing at the lioness who wanted to protect Ignition.

Zallion turned and smiled at Ignition as they reached the 'lush, lovely place'. And it was lush and lovely, sure enough. It was like the forest Simba lived in after Mufasa's death. The canopy was dense, and wherever there was a gap, the evening sunlight streamed in. Like spotlights, Zallion thought. Water fell from a huge ledge nearby, creating a big waterfall. Zallion had heard about this place, but never actually seen it. Now he was here, with the love of his life. Suddenly, he jumped under one of the 'spotlights', his forelegs above his head, balancing on his hind legs as he tried to please Ignition. But he could stand only for a few seconds, before tumbling down and landing on his back, right under her nose. Akari sighed. She was disappointed. Hoping to see Fang somewhere, she looked around. No Fang in sight. Sighing again, she got up to walk away, back to the hunting troop to help her mother catch prey. She glanced over her shoulder, half expecting Fang to jump out of some bush. When no Fang appeared, she began to trudge quietly back, head low in sadness. |

Zallion did the same, and rolled over to his stomach, saying, "Yeah, I did, and its important, too." He sat up, wondering how to begin. Taking a deep breath, he let the story come out. "You see, Zhaine has a plot, and I think I'm part of it. But don't wanna be, it's because I love you." His voice dropped to a whisper, wondering if Ignition would forgive him, but then went on. "I don't know much about it, but I'll tell you all I know. Zhaine wants to overthrow the Pridelanders, and become ruler. And she'll do anything to become one, even if it means killing the other side of the family." He drew another deep breath before continuing. "That's all I know now. They didn't let me in on it. So this is what I wanted to tell you." His golden eyes looked worried. Had he done the right thing? His heart said he did, but his mind was troubled; wasn't he was going behind his mother's back? Zhaine is evil. And I must protect Ignition and the other side of my family, he thought. |

Lunari ignored Kolan's laugh. "I'm going to get some food for myself," he announced softly, walking off. His paws thumped against the ground as he padded away. Lunari flicked his dark tail. He breathed in the air.

Zallion was a little surprised, but happy beyond words. Leaning down, he nuzzled her, mumbling, "Well, we won't let her." He grinned, then asked, "So what shall we do now?" Kismet, failing to find Kalima, saw Kolan and Lunari. "Hey guys!" He called, running toward them. "Guess what happened?" He didn't continue, wondering if he must. |
