Zallion nodded. "I know I mustn't be telling you this, but yet, I will, if your majesty will be kind enough to let us join your pride." He turned to Kiara and dipped his head in thanks. He felt a sudden liking for her. I can see why Kovu chose to marry her, he thought. He gazed at Ignition lovingly, and gave her a gentle smile. "May we join your pride, sire?" he asked again, shifting his gaze to the king. Akari smiled back at Fang. She hoped Kovu would let them into the pride. Her mother nodded at him, then turned to look at her mate. |

Fang gazed at Akari, a smile on his muzzle, and a twinkle in his eyes... It didn't matter if Kovu said no.... Fang knew Akari loved him, and he returned the feeling... So things would work out.....

Shaking his low-hanging head, Kovu sighed. "I guess I'll have to accept them in order to learn their secret." he muttered, and then looked up at Fang and Zallion, nodding uneasily.

Zallion was overjoyed. He dipped his head respectfully at Kovu and said,"I am honoured, Your Highness. Thank you." He smiled at Ignition lovingly and winked, then gazed up at Pride Rock standing majestically nearby. It had been so small yet had no lack in majesty when he had gazed at it from a distance, at the borders. Akari almost leapt up and down in happiness. She got on her tiptoes and planted a quick kiss on Kovu's cheek, mumbling "Thank you so much, Daddy!" She turned to Fang and purred softly, her turquoise-blue eyes sparkling in delight. |

As Kovu began to chuckle and roll his eyes, Ignition smiled over at Zallion and shrugged. "What are your plans?" she mouthed.

"First," Zallion said in a low yet cheerful voice and walking near her, "Presenting this to the love of my life." As he spoke, he produced the flower which he had plucked and gave it to Ignition. He could smell its sweet zephyr as it entered his nostrils. Simba's nostrils flared, but he said nothing. "We shall see how it turns out," he grumbled in an inaudible tone as he stalked up to the den. Kiara smiled and shook her head. The same old bag of worries, she though as she followed her father. |

"Hey handsome," Akari purred back, as she nuzzled Fang lovingly. "We're together at last," she murmured contently, though she didn't know for how long they could be. Zallion smiled at her and bowed graciously and said, "Afwan, Iggie." His face became a little worried as he answered the young song-named lioness' question. "I will tell your father all I know of Zhaine's plans, as I told him I would. I don't know what will happen after that; it'll depend upon his decisions. But I believe war is just around the corner." He regretted having to betray his pride, but his love for Ignition made it clear that it had to be done. Zallion looked over the vast stretch of green to the Outlands and sighed softly. Kismet leapt to his feet in anger. He paced around for a while, then at last turned to Kolan, and spat through clenched teeth, "I've no doubt Zallion has gone off to the Pridelands!" He raised a forepaw ad clasped and unclasped it nervously, looking slightly chagrined. "He deserves to be exiled!" he continued. "I'm going to report this to Zhaine. Won't she be mad when she learns her son is so unlawful!" After a pause, he asked Kolan, "Wanna come with me?" |

"Oh, my dear friend~" Kolan smiled. "It's not just Zallion, it's Fang too." He added, his twisted grin widening. ~~~ Fang looked at Zallion, then at Akari. "Excuse me for one minute." He said as he walked over to Zallion. "Pardon me Ignition, I need to barrow Zallion for a second." He said, then looked at Zallion, the look on his face clearly said they needed to talk about a matter that will be taking place soon... |

Ignition chuckled at Fang's words. "I guess it'll be alright if you borrow him, but you know a cub won't result from two males." she said as she chuckled softly and began to roll in the dirt.

pression. HGe walked a little away from the Rock and beckoned to Fang to follow him. Kismet nodded and stalked off to the den. |

"Traitor." Zallion murmured. "That includes me." He sighed heavily, and continued, "Fang, Zhaine may want to kill, but she's still my mother. Unlike the case of Kovu. Zira adopted him. Not that it was easy for him to do what he did, but it's even harder for me." he whispered, and hung his head in sadness. |

Zallion stared into the distance. "You're right, Fang." he said quietly, then glanced at Ignition, then turned to him. "But she's close to us, too. Me, at least." He thought of his sister, then, how painful it'd be for her. But I'll do it, Iggie. For you. he thought, and that gave him determination and cheer. Akari walked around to Ignition and sat beside her. "You think we should be worrying about them?" she asked as her gaze rested upon the two figures a little distance away. |

Zallion nodded. "That's the problem. As Kal said, you can't have a paw on both sides; on side's gonna fall." he sighed. "And I've chosen my side, I guess. But I will always love and protect my sister, in whichever side she is." He sat to wait until the king called him. |
