"Nothing to be sorry about, he got to comfortable with the pridelanders, and it got him killed." He never took his eyes off the ceremony, but his heart was in a completly diffrent place, one dark and and sad. "Your pride must have been harsh, if you hate them so much." He finally looked at her, a crooked smile on his face.

Kalima sniffed indignatly at Vitani before following close to her brother. She was relived when she heard her mother padding after them. "Mother, why is she with the pridelanders if she was born from Zira? I understand Kovu's reason, he found love. But Vitani?"

Zallion sighed sadly. They'd never understand what its like to be shunned out of everything.... Then he turned to Zhaine and Kalima. "Snobby creature." he murmured. "Is there anything I can do, Mother?" he asked, his eyes flashing with hatred, anger and sadness. He then looked up at the cubs being presented. They were slightly younger than himself; he was three or four days older.

Kiara gently licked Ignition, and glanced happily at Simba and Kovu.

The animals were crazy with joy and respect. Rafiki lowered Kalorii into his arms and smeared the red liquid on her forehead, just as he had done to Ignition. He set her down on the ground, smiling. Then he took Akari and did the same as he had done to her sisters. Akari leaned forward to see the sight. It was beautiful. So many animals! In the crowd, she spotted many other lions, cubs and lionesses, and beamed in pleasure. After a while, Rafiki lowered her and did the same procedure. He then turned to Kovu and Kiara and bowed low with respect.

Akari ran around her father's legs, and then her mother's, joyously.

Simba nodded at Vitani's comment. He was indeed happy for his daughter and son-in-law.  He cast a cold glance down at the outlanders he saw. That was when he spotted Zallion and the others. He glowered intensely at him. Damn outsiders.

Thor layed in the morning sun, gaurding the den as to ensure no outlanders get inside... Outlanders.... The word made him made... The thing the word represented he loathed.... Kiara was like a sister to him... And he'd never let any thing happen to his family...

((In that case... Should the two of them be he same age as the cubs?))

Kalima looked up excitedly at her mother hoping she would let them. "Yes please mother, we can prove ourselves then." She growled eyes flashing. Looking up behind them at priderock, she shivered at the sight of Simba, he was huge, larger then any lion she had see, not that she had seen any males other then her brother. She vowed to one day show him what outlanders were capable of, her and Zillion would make their pride proud. 

Relic smiled at the thought of being accepted into a pride. "Well the outlanders are sorta a pride, but we hardly ever speak to each other other then when danger threatens. But we're all under a agreement to tolorate other outladers. Perhpas if we tried hard enought, we could become a pride."

Zallion nodded at Kalima's suggestion. He liked her idea. "Can we, Mother?" he looked up expectantly at Zhaine, waiting for a response.

Simba fixed his hazel eyes on the male cub. The female didn't worry him much, because he was unsure of who the next king will be, and if that little brat would try take that position. He didn't want him to.  Not at all. Poking their nose in everything that doesn't concern them... He grunted under his breath.

Kiara watched as the crowd dispersed. She felt very light hearted. Everything was going well. At least for now. The dawn of a new era.... She thought, gazing at her cubs, very much amused at their play.

Thor smiled and padded up to Kiara, careful to keep his distance. "They're lucky." he smiled as he looked at the cubs.

"Where is he?!" A oung female lioness growled under her breath as she looked around for her brother... The young male was nowhere to be found in the outlands....

~A few days later~

Setting: Late morning 

Akari hopped around her sisters in the gr*censored*. She felt great. It had been almost a week since the presentation, but she still felt a little giddy from the view. She pictured it now. The animals *censored*embled below, her proud parents and other pridelanders, the wind blowing on her face.....

 Kiara sat on pride rock, looking down at her kits. She sighed deeply. The smell of flowers was in the air. Watching her cubs reminded Kiara of her cubhood, all the dangers she had gotten herself into, and all the wonderful ones. 

Ignition looked over at Akari. "That was nightmare." she managed to clearly say. She then closed her eyes and began bobbing her head. "Tobidash-ita sekai o koete." she managed to sing, which was clearly odd. Kovu looked over at the cubs and began growling at Ignition's song. Meanwhile, Convoy thought repeatedly about the day of the presentation.

"I will apologize for the event and ask for a clean start." he repeated over and over, his heart thumping at the thoughts of Vitani. He then laughed. "Those cubs better do well." he mumbled, beginning to stalk in prideland directions.
