Alex frowned, knowing that there was more than what she was letting on but didn't pressure she about it seeing as she obviously didn't want to tell him about it. "I'm sure things will get better." he as.sured her. He gestured to the seat in front of him at the other end of the booth.

Katana smiled happy to move on from that conversation,she sat down at the booth.She could tell that Alex wasnt satisfied with the information that she had given him but she couldnt help it."Things will all smooth at soon"she thought but deep inside she knew that she was wrong.Katana shook her head nd cleared her mind,focusing on having a good time with Alex.

Alex smiled at her, "The usual?" he asked, they usually met here. But since she started dating her horrid boyfriend she would rather be around him and his friends which Alex thought was a very bad idea. But he was too good of a friend to her to make her choose. Days like this came less and less and Alex didn't want to dwell on the bads things right now.

Alex nodded and waved down the waitress and ordered her favorite for her. He waited until he left before he turned back to Katana. "Thats ok... when is he not in a bad mood lately?" He asked, "Do... you have to go?" Alex asked worriedly, hoping he didn't.

Katana sighed"He's just going through some things I guess...But no, I dont have to go"she smiled, happy that she didnt have to go to the after party for the football game.Alex somehow reminded her of her brother Kentanu,he used to ALWAYS know when she was sad or lying and maybe even when she was hiding something.Katana was happy to have a friend like Alex,she smiled just as sh had thought that.

Alex smiled, "Good, because we haven't been able to just hang put of a while..." He said to her, glad she didn't have to leave yet. And he didn't want to talk about her boyfriend, knowing he'd only get mad about it anyway. He loved it when she smiled, she could light up the room. The waitor brought back her usual and set it on the table in front of her.

"Thanks!"She replied politely to the waitor as she ate her banana split((xD))"Yeah...I know,Im sorry but Ill try to hang with you more I promise"She replied honestly.Hanging around with Ranu wasnt much fun, and his friends were always talking about stuff that she didnt know about,Katana would rather hang out with Alex.Plus Ranu treated her nicely around his friends but he always found something to argue about."I just want the old Ranu back"she thought to herself.

Alex ate some more of his own sundae, nodding to the waiter as he left. "That would be nice." Alex replied, remembering when they were nearly inseparable and attached at the hip. That wasn't too long ago but it had gone away fast at the arrival of Katana's new boyfriend. But it wasn't like he couldn't get a girlfriend himself, he had options, it was just that he was waiting on someone special.

She nodded happily,as she ate her sundae."Actually,today is the only day this week that I've had any fun."Then Katana remembered something."Could you come to my mom's dinner?You dont have to dress fancy or anything,she just wants to welcome my cousin Layna home"She continued eating while she waited for his answer.The sundae was delicious!Now Katana remembered why this was her fave place to eat icecream.
((I have an idea :D Maybe if Alex comes to the dinner then Ranu could come unexpectedly *sly smile* xD))

(( I like that idea =O )) Alex nodded, "I guess i could come. Does your mom mind? I mean... I don't know I'm not really family." He said, taking another bite of his ice cream. He believed her when she said this was the only day she had had any fun this week. Her boyfriends was really up tight, never did anything. He didn't understand why she was with him at all but shrugged the thought away.

Katana nodded"Of course you can!Any of my friends are family in my Mom's eyes."she laughed."I would love for Layna to meet you"Layna had been in Philadelphia,visiting some family.Katana was so excited she couldnt wait to see her again."The dinner is tonight at 7:00"she told him with a smile."Lets just hope that Layna will be happy too"she thought,remembering how bad Layna's anger could get."I guess it just runs in the family"she thought to herself as she ate more of her sundae.

((Oh okies :D Im gonna skip to the dinner xD))
Katana walked downstairs looking at all of the brightly colored candles and lights that were on.She entered the dinning room which was the biggest room in the house,she sometimes called it"The Grand Hall".It reminded her of the kind of dinning rooms that rich,fancy people had.Katana was wearing a Sparkly,pink,shirt with blue,skinny jeans.She had silver,diamond flats on and in her hair she had a pink headband that had a flower attached to it.There was a knock on the door and Katana opened it."Layna!Oh my gosh you're here!"she said as she hugged her cousin."Well duh!This dinner IS for me right?"Layna joked.

Alex pulled up in front of Katana's house in his new black mustang. He had been saving up for a decent car since he was 10 and had got a free car for his 16th birthday so he didn't have to buy that one. He got out and walked slowly up the driveway, his in his pockets. He was wearing a dark purple shirt that looked like he was wearing a long sleeved white shirt underneath and black skinny jeans and his red converse. His shirt hugged his torso and showed off his lean figure. He knocked on the door, nervous to the point were he thought his heart might plow right through the middle of his chest. He had no idea who was going to be here, he had only come to see Katana and because she had asked him to. But he was glad she had asked, it gave him hope. Maybe they were going to be friends again, not that they weren't already. But better friends like they had grown up being.

Katana smiled at Layna and said"Hold on,someone's at the door"When Katana opened the door she smiled,it was Alex.She noticed how he was dressed and she smiled again as she opened the door wider."Come in"
Layna was talking to Mark,Katana's soon to be brother.Since her mom was getting married again, Mark was her fiance's son.Layna turned around and smiled"And who's this?"she asked with a smile."Oh this is Alex,hes my friend"she added with a warning glance at Layna.Layna nodded"Oh you're still with...Okay I get it."she said as she continued her conversation with Mark.
"I know the place looks nice but dont let that scare you"Katana joked as she looked aroud the dinning room again.

Alex stepped in, "Thanks, I'll try to keep that in mind." He said jokingly. He picked up on Katana and Layna's exchanging of words and wished he hadn't. But put that thought aside for later, he looked around briefly before turning his attention back to Katanaa. "So... hows everything going so far?" He asked, talking about the party. The place seemed lively but not fun, everyone talking to someone else. Everyone seemed pretty well dressed, which made him think he stood out with his casual everyday 'emo' clothes. Oh well... He thought, he liked being out there a little.

After she said those words Mark came over"Oh hey, sorry I wasnt ignoring you.Layna is very talkative"he told Katana with a laugh."Oh,Im Mark"he said politely to Alex."Man talk about late introductions"Mark laughed.
