I'd play my guitar but I didn't even think that I would need it." Alex told her. Mark came up and introduced himself. "I'm Alex Kingsley." He introduced himself, "Don't worry about it."

Katana smiled"Well...okay.I suppose I am good or whatever"she joked as she headed upstairs.She stopped and turned around"You could use my brother's guitar...he wont be using it anytime soon"Katana said trying to smile."I would love to hear that guitar again...no ones touched it since the last time that he played it.."She sighed sadly,but she soon cheered up.If Alex played the guitar she knew that Kentanu would be happy,wherever he was now.She thought about what Kentanu would say to her."Why did you let my guitar get all dusty sis?Common at least play it and let the song live!"She laughed as she heard his voice in her head.
((Its okay^^ I lose track of time when Im drawing too.Actually that reminds me...I still didnt finish it xD))

Alex smiled at her, he loved her smile but it was barely there anymore. He didn't want to play for a bunch of people he really didn't know, but it was hard for him to say no to anything. "Ok..." He said, wondering if it would be appropriate for him to follow her upstairs or not and decided that it wasn't. "I could play." He said, looking up to her on the stairs.

"Perfect!"she said clapping her hands together,her eyes sparkling."Ill be right back"she said as she ran upstairs.Looking in Kentanu's room brought so many memories,her mom decided not to clean the room and to leave it exactly the way he had it.There was clothes on the floor and posters on the wall.But what made Katana smile the most was his "wall of family"as he had called it.The only pictures he had on that wall was of Katana,they had been so close,it was almost like a dream.She went over and picked up his guitar,she cleaned it up and went into her room to get her flute.When Katana came downstairs her smile had vanished,replaced by a look of determination."Im gonna do this for you brother"she whispered under her breath.

Alex looked up when Katana came back, his hands were in his pockets once again and he had been thinking. "J'you find it?" He asked, even though he could already see the guitar in her hand and the silent determination in his eyes. He tried to be calm, he had played a guitar in front of people before. Granted, they were people he knew and not as many as there were nere but Katana would be u there too and that made him feel a little better.

Katana nodded and handed him the guitar."Kentanu used to call his guitar Yoshi"she laughed as she walked over to the front of the somewhat "crowd" of people.Her mom tapped a button and a bell rung."My daughter,Katana whishes to play a song that was kept in our family for generations.Just consider yourselves lucky for even hearing it."she finished with a smile.Katana nodded to her mother and began playing the song.She blocked out everything and put all of her feelings into the song.The song told a story,the story of Tana and Tenu.The story was very similar to Katana and Kentanu's,which made a tear go down her face.She decided to lighten the mood and she pressed a button on her flute that let out purple bubbles,which glowed as they floated over the people.When Katana finished the song she bowed politely and smiled."Good job sis" she heard Kentanu saying in her ear.

James looked at the guitar and blew off some of the dust that had attached itself to the instrument. He played a tune and discovered that it was a little off. He thought about tuning it but decided to leave it the way Katana's brother had left it out of respect for the both of them. He ran his fingers over the strings again, getting used to the sound it had. Then he heard Katana start and listened to her play, the song made him feel almost sad but that was fine. He smiled when the bubbles came out of the end of the flute.

Katana let out a sigh,she had to admit she was nervous but once she got up there she just let her feelings take over.She went over and picked up a guitar that Layna was holding in her hand.She wondered if Alex wanted her to play with him but she just sat quietly.At the corner of her eye she saw Ranu enter from the back door."Whats he doing here!?"she wanted to scream out loud but she kept her mouth shut as she went over to him.

Alex smiled at her when she came to sit down beside him, glad that she would play with him if she wanted to. Then he noticed Ranu come in and he frowned, Katana going over to him and he lower his eyes to the guitar. Silently playing the song he had decided on doing.

"What are you doing here?"she whispered in a low voice."Oh,so now I cant even visit my girlfriend?" Katana shook her head"Its not that!"she grabbed his hand and she led him down into the basement."You havent even visited me at my house,not even once!" Ranu sighed"Football practice ended early so I wanted to come to surprise you.Why does everything have to be about you?"he asked angrily."Me?You think this is about me?Ranu,everything is about you and nothing else" Katana couldnt control the anger or the volume in her voice.Ranu put his arms around her waist and kissed her.Katana wanted to pull away but he had never kissed her like that before,she kissed him back putting her arms around is neck.Ranu pulled away because his cell got a text,he read it and said"I...got to go..."She looked at him with a shocked ex
pression"Why?"Ranu shook his head and started walking upstairs"I have more important things to do"Katana stared at him"More important than me?"Ranu kept walking as if he didnt hear her and turned around"I see you all the time,its not a big deal"he said as he left.

Alex went ahead and started to play the song, everyone looking at him expecting him to do something besides sit there with a guitar in hand. "Uhm. Hey, I've never... played in front of anyone before... not really." he said nervously. "But, I guess I am now..." Alex looked to where Katana and Ranu had gone and they hadn't come back. "The song is called Your Guardian Angel..." Alex readjusted the guitar on his lap and the strap on his shoulder. He started to play the song and his audience was quiet. When I see your smile

Katana felt like screaming at the top of her lungs.She wanted to just let all of her anger out,but she just took a deep breath and headed upstairs.Katana barely heard Alex's song, everything was fuzzy, she felt like time was going slower than usual as she made her way to the front of the crowd."I cant let Ranu's stupidity stop me from having a good time!"she thought as she cleared her head and grabbed the guitar again."Is everything okay?"Layna whispered into her ear.Katana nodded"Yeah"she lied as she sat down next to Alex.She didnt want to be here,especially after her fight with Ranu but she wanted to as.sure everyone that she could handle things by herself.The only thing that Katana wanted to do was go to the forest and play her flute for the trees.

Alex finished the song and everyone clapped for him, making his face turn red as he turned to Katana. He took the strap off of his shoulder. "Are you ok? What happened?" He asked when everyone stopped paying attention to him, Thats was great! But he would never do that again. He set the guitar down beside him.

"I-i really dont know..."she said as she burst into tears.All of the anger and pain that she had felt suddenly came and exploded out of her.She got up and ran outside,not wanting anyone to see her this way.Katana went over to the bench where she sat down and cried."He ruined everything...."she whispered, talking about Ranu.She probably looked like a retard following Ranu and his group around."Why did he change!?Or...did I change?"she asked herself unsure of the answer.

Alex got up and followed her quickly out, then waited a few seconds before letting her know he had followed her by coming to sit beside her quietly. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, resting his hand on her knee, letting her know he was there for her.

Katana didnt want to hide everything anymore,she saw now that the pain could overflow and flood out of her.She wiped some of the tears away,which were replaced by even more tears."Am I...the one whos wrong?Did I....destroy our friendship?"she asked quietly,letting the tears fall into her hands."Maybe I was wrong all this time.....Im the real idiot"She felt like her world was crashing down around her but it had came with no warning, silently destroying her from the inside.

Alex frowned, she wasn't making any sense. He wanted to comfort her but didn't want it to be inappropriate with her having a boyfriend or not. He decided he didn't care and pulled her close to him. "Hey, calm down, don't cry." he told her. "You're not an idiot." He told her firmly.

Katana calmed down a little but the tears kept falling,she had no control over it.She didnt notice how closeness of Alex and it didnt bother her either."Im so sorry Alex....I should've known that it wasnt meant to be"She stopped crying and a sudden calm washed over her.
Suddenly flash backs came to her."If he leaves you or mistreats you then he doesnt deserve you."Kentanu stated.Katana smiled"Nice speech"she laughed "No Im serious,remember that for the future."Katana nodded to him"I will,dont worry"she promised
She came back from her memories and thought"I lied....I didnt remember"
