A fire, a war...
100 years ago, a fire than was started by man ran wild throughout the world. They brought along disease, war between packs, and ultimately...death. There were no survivors. Everything was brought to ashes, and many humans had taken refuge in storm shelters while the animals outside quickly died off, one by one. The packs which were once so peaceful towards one another, quickly began to fight and kill each other off. The raging storm finally hit the largest pack of them all... Moon pack, of the Northern mountains. Disease killed off half, and many fled to find shelter. 2 pups who were best friends had to suffer the consequences of an unknown threat. 3 years later, the forests have finally grown back. There are animals back in the forests, water running through the creeks and streams, and the blue skies have returned once more. The only thing missing to enjoy them... the wolves. These 2 wolves, separated from childhood by a terrible plague, have found themselves on opposite ends of the continent. Will they find each other on their long journey by fate and destiny, or will they fall victim to the loneliness? Shall no more wolves roam the world? Ooc; I hope this is okay. xD If not just let me know and I can edit.
name: Kaye
age: 3 years
gender: male
Looks:
Personality: Kaye is rather brave and quite distinguished in fighting. He has certain way to attacking. He waits for his opponent to make the first move, and he will work from there. Kaye is also rather secluded and quite unfriendly at most times. Not all of this is his fault though, having a rough past does that to people, and wolves. He also is quite loyal and trustworthy to his companions. Not that he has any.
Crush/mate: Unkown, yet? {not sure he has any crushes or mates yet}
Other: N/A

Bio name: Maka age: 3 years old gender: female Looks:
Personality: Maka is very kind hearted and compassionate towards others. She's prideful and can be too much of an optimist, but she's always looking out for the well-being of others. She genuinely cares for all other animals and at first is very shy. She's always sure-footed and very graceful. It's not advised to get on her bad side because she can hold a grudge. Maka is extremely fast in speed and reactions, almost moving cat-like most of the time. Crush/mate: N/A Other: She wears a feather around her neck that was given to her by an indian chief as a young pup. Though she can't remember, she never takes it off.

Kaye slept peacefully next to a bush, his sides rising and falling as he breathed. He dreamed about running through the woods with a pack, wolves along his sides and at his heels. The exhiliration as he gasped for breath and edging closer and closer to a large meal. He lept, to cling on to the elk and...he opened his eyes, tounge lolling out and his claws sunk into the dirt. It was only a dream, genius. Now wake up. He thought. Kaye rose to his paws, and walked a few steps to get his claws out of the dirt. Shaking the dust and leaves off of his fur, he looked around. The sun was just over the horizon, and it looked like a great day. If only I had someone to share with it. He thought miserably. Listening, he thought he heard bubbling water. Content, he set off in the direction where he had heard the water.
Ooc; is this an alright intro? ^^"

Ooc; i think it's good! could you make the font a bit bigger?
Maka sat precariously on her favorite afternoon rock, watching the wind blow the grass in her favorite meadow back and forth. The flowers danced and a gust of wind caught her fur. She looked out over her meadow, at all the wildflowers growing and sighed heavily. The sun broke through the clouds just above her and heated her fur up to a warm content temperature. She stood up on her rock, stretched her lower body downward into the earth and bounded off her rock, running playfully through the grass chasing butterflies that just so happened to cross her path. Maka stopped just short of the tree line and giggled. "Silly wolf", she thought to herself. She entered the tree line through a path she had pushed down a million times, and trotted along, checking out the forest as she had every other day.

Ooc; Of course! Is this alright size-wise?? ^^
Kaye padded through the trees, listening for the sound of water. He began to run, until he landed in something...wet. It was no more than a puddle, but yet it was murky and dark brown. I'm thirsty, but there's no way I'm drinking that. He thought. Stepping out of the puddle, he shook himself off and continued to listen for the bubbling water that he had heard.

Ooc; perfect :D
Maka walked for what seemed like forever until she came to a tiny hole in a hill covered by rocks and trees. The hole was natural, and caused by the shifting of years of erosion due to the fire. She wagged her tail but stopped as she began to enter her home. She smelt something unfamiliar. It seemed to be an animal she could not identify, but it seemed so familiar to her. She turned quickly and ran toward the scent. It was close to the waterfall. She jumped out of the tree line, and right into the sunlight next to the bank of the lake and waterfall above. There was nothing there. She huffed, angry at herself for letting her nose trick her. Maka sat back on her haunches, disappointed, and let out a long, depressing howl.

Ooc; I'm not exactly sure how far the two wolves are from each other, so until I know I'm just going to pretend they are very far away.
Kaye sat down on a dead pile of leaves. He looked at the ground. There were blackened marks still showing from the fire. He let out a sigh. Looking up at the sky, his stomach rumbled. Probably should go find something to eat..he thought. He heard a loud cccraack from a little ways away. He rose to his paws and padded over to the noise. It was a large, charred tree beginning to fall. It was huge, maybe about Kaye's length for width and it looked as if it was reaching into the heavens. It began to slowly fall forwards...right towards Kaye. He let out a panicked yelp and ran away from the tree.

Ooc; not too far, I think maybe opoosite ends of the forest? Just a tad bit closer Maka finally stopped howling. Get real Maka, no one can hear you, she sighed. She decided to slip into the water and pad around for a tiny bit before going off wandering. The sun was finally heading to the west now, and Maka knew it would soon begin to set. She splashed around, going in and out of the waterfall. she smiled lightly to herself and got out of the water. She shook the excess water off her body, and the sunlight warmed her up as it bounced off her coat, making it gleam and shimmer.

Ooc; Okay. ^^
Kaye looked around, frightened. He padded into a bush and turned around in it, peering out to watch the large tree fall. It hit the ground on a hard impact, and Kaye was send flying a few feet back. He let out a loud yelp as he slammed into the back of a tree. Dazed, he blinked for a few seconds to gain his bearings. He rose to his paws and tenatively padded towards the fallen tree. He sniffed it. It smells like smoke. And burnt tree.
Ooc; Okay, maybe after that he's not the brightest bulb in the tree, hopefully he'll get brighter. |D

Ooc; lol yeah hopefully
Maka layed down on top of the rocks by the bank and sprawled her lengthy body along it's edges. She wagged her tail, feeling content but felt as if something was missing. She sighed, knowing what the missing link in her life was. She began to drift off to sleep as the sun finally hit the horizon in the West. SNAP! Maka sat up, alert and prepared to fight the sound that had woken her from slumber. She looked out into the forest, but saw nothing. She shook the feeling, as her hairs began to settle back down along the lengths of her backside. To make herself feel safer, she growled defensively and barked a loud warning sign, telling any intruders that she musn't be taken lightly if approached.

Kaye perked his ears and let out a bark. He let his tail droop and padded back among through the trees. He didn't hear any more water, and there probably wasn't any in the first place. Maybe he was just hallucinating. What if I go insane. What if I never see another wolf again. What if I--- Kaye's face was suddenly on the ground. He let out an impatient snuffing noise and stood up. He turned around to see a knotted tree root above the ground that he had completely missed. "Great." he barked.

Maka finally looked down and the only thing lighting up was the moons reflection on the water. She then looked up at the huge full moon shining down on her. Maybe there's still hope. Maybe there are other wolv- she stopped. There was no way there were anymore wolves. Maka knew if there were anymore alive she'd have found them by now. She jumped down from the rocks and bent her head down into the water and lapped to her hearts content. The ripples echoed across the huge lake, and disrupted the moons mirror image on it's surface.

Kaye continued to pad through the trees until her reached two rocks and behind them, a large hole that looked like a used animal den. He sniffed. It smelled as if it was recently used, but his nose was likely just fooling him. Tired, he crawled into the hole and curled up, looking at the shaft of moonlight that poured in from the hole. He let out a sigh and fell asleep.

-Morning-
Maka crouched low to the ground as she spotted a tiny deer alone in the woods. She figured it was alone so she crept closer to it. A large crack echoed throughout the forest, and the baby deer raised it's head. She growled and made her move. The baby deer reacted quickly to her moves, but not quick enough. Maka bit down onto it's hind quarter and went down with the animal as it kicked and bellowed out for it's mother. She bit onto it's neck as it slowly began to lose life. She began to enjoy her meal as the wind blew a scent her way. She bounded off the baby deer, and back towards her den.

Kaye rolled around numerous times in his sleep, and currently slept on his back with his paws in the air like a puppy. His tounge was even lolling out. He dreamed once again running through the forest, this time eating a juicy elk with other wolves. He heard the yips of pups playing nearby, the growls of the adolescents fighting for their pride and the murmurs of the elders grooming each other. It was all peaceful, and even though there was that little place at the back of Kaye's mind saying it was a dream, he didn't want it to end quite yet.

Maka raced back toward the lake and lost her scent. She bent her head down to the ground and began sniffing around aimlessly. She wandered around to the bank and stopped, looking into the waters reflection she saw herself. She sighed and flopped onto her haunches, grinning at herself. Maka thought her mind was playing tricks on her, as if she were tracking herself. Get it together... there are no more wolves, she sighed. She sat there at the bank of the lake for what seemed to be forever. Maka stood back up, and disappeared into the trail line, heading back toward her den.

Kaye groggily awoke and crawled out of the den. He stretched for a few minutes before sniffing the air. He thought he smelled wolf, but he couldn't be sure. Maybe I should sit here and wait to see if I smell it again. So that's exactly what he was going to do. He sat down and looked around, waiting to see if he would catch that scent again.

Maka walked slower than usual this time. The scent became stronger but she shrugged it off as if it were nothing. She turned the corner to enter her den, and stopped mid track. She froze looking at what seemed to be another wolf sitting right in front of the opening to her home. The fur on her hind end stood straight up, and her breath had fallen eerily silent. There was nothing around her but the sight of the wolf, sitting before her. He seemed calm and clumsy. Before she knew it, a threatening growl had erupted from her throat that scared even her. Never had she snarled at anything as she just had. Her body wouldn't move, but her voice made it clear that not only was she surprised... she was awestruck.

Kaye jumped, stumbled backwards and let out a yelp. Awkardly getting up, he could only manage to bark, "Are...you real?" Maybe I hit the ground too hard. He thought. He tenatively sniffed the wolf, and sure enough the scent filled his nostrils. She smelled like... food! He thought excitedly. So maybe there is food after all, and I won't starve. "It's just that...I thought all the wolves were extinct, except for me."
