Maka couldn't help but giggle at his clumsiness. Clumsy yes, Calm no, she thought. Her giggle rang out like tiny bells chiming harmoniously together in song. "I guess I should ask you the same question huh wolf", she chimed out. Her hairs had flattened and her demeanor calmed as well, making it easier for her to take in this wolf's physique and his aura. He seemed anxious, and hungry, but still very calm. "You smell familiar. I too thought I was the only wolf on this planet left", she spoke. Her body unresponsively walked toward him, still very curious of this new "companion". Maka got nose to nose with this wolf before she realized she was in potential danger. Her body had betrayed her due to curiosity, but he didn't seem on the defense at all. She took in his scent, rounding him and taking every inch of him in. She finally got back to his front side and flopped down on her haunches, staring at him with her wide golden eyes. They were filled with question, happiness, and overall curiosity. This wolf had her baffled. Strangely enough she found her tongue lolling out of her mouth along with her tail wagging back and forth, dusting the dirt from side to side.

Kaye barked, "I figured the same thing. I'm Kaye." His tail wagged back and forth on the ground, stirring up the dust and creating dust clouds. So maybe I won't be lonely for the rest of my life. I've been so sick and tired of walking by charred trees and remembering the past. He looked around making sure he hadn't said that aloud. It didn't look like he did, so he just gave a sheepish grin and perked his ears.

Maka giggled at his grin. He seemed very friendly and she needed a companion so she wouldn't feel lonely. "I'm Maka", she gleamed. The excitement in her voice rose a bit at the end of her statement, seeming a bit too obvious but she didn't care. She was so happy to finally have another wolf around. Kaye was bigger than Maka in muscle and build, but she seemed to be a bit smarter than him. She snickered at his dust clouds and lowered her front half down to the ground, growling at him playfully. Maka jumped at him, and found herself submitting to Kaye.

Kaye bent the front half of his body down so his rump was sticking high up in the air, tail wagging ferociously. He let out a yip and sprinted around Maka, going faster and faster. Kaye kept sprinting until he got so dizzy he tripped over his front paws and front-rolled, landing on his rump. He turned around and let his tounge loll out, panting.
Ooc; Kaye you derp. |D

Ooc; Kaye's a cute derp O3O Maka giggled once more and nudged him roughly with her paw. She ran away and after a good 20 yards from him she finally yelled. "Tag!", she panted. She bounded off back towards the lake through the trail she made, dodging in between tree limbs and brushes of grass. She laughed like she hadn't in a long time. She dashed out of the tree line, and jumped into the lake with her forepaws stretched before her. Maka dove deep down and swam under the surface for a few seconds then came up for air.

Kaye lept to his paws and followed behind Maka. He reached the water and stopped dead. He stared at it, and started stepping back from it. Something about it made him feel uneasy. He couldn't help but let out a little whine.

Maka looked at him from underneath, and floated back up to him. she cocked her head at him, confused as to why the wolf would not get in the water. She pawed over to him, her lengthy body floating atop the water. "Is everything ok Kaye", she whined. She climbed out of the water, trying to reassure Kaye that the water was safe. Maka grinned and her tongue was lopsided in her mouth, hanging out of the right side of her jowls. she nudged him forward. "go ahead, test it out for yourself. It won't bite", she joked playfully.

Kaye sniffed the water for a moment before slowly easing into it. He was a bit wary of it, he didn't know why. He had a...bad feeling about it for some reason. He put one paw in the water, and then the other. He slowly eased the front half of him in the water. All of a sudden, he leaped into the water creating a huge splash. He bobbed up and down in the water. Wha---why am I not dying? His paws automatically began to paddle through the water, kicking out with his back legs. He swam a little circle before climbing out and shaking himself off all over Maka, tongue lolling out of his mouth.

Maka giggled at him, covering her face from his watery display. She shook out her soaked pelt and got water all over him. "See? Told you it wouldn't bite", she smiled. She laughed at how each time his tongue playfully lolled out of his mouth. Her fur began to shine and glisten from the dew drops still remaining in her fur. Her golden eyes sparkled in the sunshine and she rolled onto the grass, flipping over onto her back and pawed at Kaye teasingly.

Kaye let out a playful yip and leaped over Maka, rolling after he had jumped. The grass stuck to his wet fur, and soon enough his fur had patches of green. He shook off some of the grass. He laid down on the grass, tired. His tail wagged, but much slower since he was too tired to bother wagging it any faster. He let his ears droop, though his tongue still hung out of his mouth.

Maka rolled in the grass beside him, looking up at Kaye as he stood up. The green patches on his fur looked very funny and she couldn't help but burst out in laughter. She closed her eyes as the warmth heated up her body. it felt nice and she could hear the birds singing off in the distance. Maka blushed deeply as she looked at the silly wolf, hoping he did not see.

Kaye sniffed the ground and wagged his tail. He continued to sniff the ground at random until he bumped into Maka. "Oops! I'm so sorry!" he barked, trying his best not to let his tongue hang out. Ooc; Sorry for the fail post. :c

Maka felt his nose on hers for just a biref second and blushed much harder than before. She knew he had seen that one. She jumped back a bit, clearing her throat and turning her head to the side so he couldn't see her blushing. "It's... it's ok", she assured him. Her tail betrayed her and went into a spastic state, wagging back and forth a mile a minute. She growled lowly at her tails response to the sudden emotions and then looked at him.

Kaye noticed the blushing and simply wagged his tail and let his tongue loll out. Trying not to let the silence which was now getting awkward last for any longer than it had to, he barked, "I'm sort of hungry, is there anything to hunt around here?"
