Hearing a hiss, the dog-boy let out a growl and turned towards the sound, deep blue eyes narrowed. "...Cat..." he murmured, then stood up stuffly. "I'd rather be in the rain." With that, he started out, but a lightning bolt made him stop and just sit back down, looking rather mopey. "Today is not my day..." __________________ As if sensing the other's presence, the young mage sat up, his long silvery hair spilling over his shoulders as he yawned, opening up his silvery blue eyes to stare at the newcomer that had invaded his literal bubble. He reached up for his earring, summonging his staff, just to use it to stand up. He tilted his head slightly, looking down at the young neko-looking boy. "Young neko....Might I ask what has brough you here...?" he asked as he sat down once more, leaning against his staff, looking tired. ((ouo He always looks tired. P:))

Forest green ears perked forward again at the sound of the dog's voice, his acute hearing picking up every word. He frowned slightly and crawled out of his hiding spot just enough to swat at the dog-boy's tail (he's got a tail right?) to get his attention. He didn't immediately hate him because he was a dog, but he certainly was a bit wary of him. Still, he hated to see someone look so down. "It's dryer in here, if you wanna join me," the cat offered. -------- He sat ridged upon being discovered, black ears flattening against his head. He didn't like the ti tle. He may by young but he was not a neko, only appearing to be one. At times, he himself didn't even know what he was. He seemed to have qualities of different creatures so maybe there was neko blood in him. He frowned. Maybe the neko ti tle wasn't inaccurate, but it still annoyed him. "Rain... wet... hate it," he answered. It wasn't that he couldn't speak properly, it was just that he preferred not to occasionally. Not to mention he always felt like water killed his brain-cells.

The Inumimi jumped when he felt something touch his tail, turning to look at the source. Whe the neko offered to allow him to join him in the trunk of the tree. "Um...thank you..." he said before slipping inside with surprising ease. He shook out his hair again, then frowned. "Nnnn.... Of all the days to rain, it had to be today..." __________________________ The mage nodded, smiling understandably. "That was why I created this dome. I dislike the rain as well." Well, then he thought a moment and sighed. "Well, it is not that I dislike it, my immune system is very weak so I cannot handle being very cold." ((>w>))

The neko shrunk back to give the inumimi some room. The trunk was a bit cozy but if he pulled his knees up to his chest, they didn't touch at all. He sighed in relief. The dog made him nervous, but he was trying hard to ignore it. After all, he looked nice enough. "What makes today special?" he asked, curiously, ignoring the voice inside his head that said 'curiosity killed the cat'. ----------- Off-color eyes stared at the mage for a while. He did look slightly frail. How had he survived for so long? the neko wondered. Still, he understood where he was coming from... "So does this mean I can stay?" he asked, nervously rubbing his arm with his tail and looking away, half expecting the mage to say no and kick him out.

The inumimi curled up as well, keeping himself warm. "I was supposed to get a package for my mother from my father," he answered, leaving it that. He wasn't going to go into detail about the strained relationship on his behalf... He sighed, setting his head on his knees. ((No sob-story here. He's just strained out because he's the only reason his parents are even still being social with eachother. ouo)) ____________________ The young mage nodded. "Of course you can," he answered, shifting himself slightly. He recognized the look in the neko's eyes, too. "Just because I'm frail doesn't mean I can't have strong magic," he said. "I do what I can to help myself live in order to help others, for that is what a Light Mage is born to do." ((<3))

This caused the green-furred neko to frown. His own parents were often away and he knew how much he looked forward to their letters. He could understand the dog's disappointment. His unusually bushy tail swished and accidentally his the inumimi's foot. He quickly pulled it away. "Sorry," the cat apologized, "a bit to cramped in here to do that." he rested his tail in his lap to avoid further incident, hoping the dog wound't get mad. ----------- The mage's words seemed to both relax him and cause him to tense up. He may be safe from the rain and any offensive attacks that the mage could of decided to throw at him, but the neko had alway though most of his traits came from creatures of the night, evil spirits. If any Light Magic was used on him, it might have the exact opposite effect. He frowned, the idea making him nervous.

The girl heard noises and she stood, her small form covered by the long, midnight cloak she wore. She took a few paces into the woods and saw some men, about four, talking. She kept to the shadows, wondering who they were. Just to be on the safe side, the girl opened her hand and summoned a small bomb created from a shell of crystalline ice with lightning flickering inside it.

((Um. The mage and the younger neko are in a seperate area from the neko and the inumimi, Detty dear. ouo)) The inumimi jumped when the neko's tail hit his foot, deep blue eyes widening a fraction before he relaxed with a soft sigh. "Yeah. Don't do much tail-flicking please," he muttered, setting his head back on his knees, his tail only being moved to wrap around him the best it could. He closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the rain falling outside. __________________________ The young mage smiled, then looked up at the top of his dome. He pushed himself to his feet and lifted up his staff to place it in front of him, his robe-styled mage outfit billowing lightly as he began to chant in a language dead to all being, save for the mages. His siliver hair whipped around him, the light of the dome growing brighter as a second la yer was added to it. Soon after, he sat down, looking even more tired than he had before so. "There. Now even the strongest bolt of lightning can get through here," he breathed, leaning against his staff once more, the glowing orb steadily dulling since there was no more use for magic at the moment. "My name is Esairen Reail, by the way," he told the neko (Which is what he believes he is. ouo) with a kind smile. ((<3))

Another crack of thunder sounded overhead and the neko whimpered, covering his ears with his hands. His sense of hearing was to acute to be around loud noises. He hated thunderstorms, he really did. He closed his eyes and pressed his head against his lap. He wanted it to stop already. --------- His ears flicked forward at the sound of the language. It seemed familiar, but he couldn't pull any words that he understood. He didn't question it though. Instead he shook some water from his hair and stretched out on his stomach. He propped his head up with his hands and stared at the mage who introduced himself as Esairen. "I'm Ritsuka Scythe," he said, introducing himself as well. He knew it'd be impolite to not do so and this man seemed like the type to like politeness.

The inumimi just flattened his ears when the thuder cracked, flinching at the loud noise. When the neko reacted, however, he was rather startled. Feeling kinda bad for the neko, he moved forward to tap his head. "You know, storms aren't all that bad if you put thought into it." He tilted hsi head, blond-tipped black ears flicking forward. _____________________________ "It's very nice to meet you, Ritsuka," Esairen said, shifting himself slightly with a soft sigh. He chuckled after a bit. He was sure that Ritsuka was probably wondering how he had gotten to be as old as he was, even though he was traveling around all the time and had a weak immune system. But he was going to leave that to the neko to figure out. ((C:))

The tap on his head caused him to look up at the inumimi. He frowned. What an idiot he must look like to him. Usually during a storm, he was alone and no one else saw how he reacted to it. In fright, he had forgotten about the other in the hollow. He rested his chin on his knees and looked up at the dog with curious eyes. "How do I do that...?" he asked, not entirely sure that he understood what he was saying. ------------ Ritsuka stared at him for a few more moments before getting onto his knees and shaking himself off again and crawling to a dryer spot a few feet closer to Esairen. He stretched out, flattening himself against the ground and resting his chin on his arms. His tail flicked lazy patterns in the air as he stared at the White Mage. He couldn't think of anything to say but the silence didn't feel awkward to him. (( lol ))

((-has been playing with her new Android phone all day- OuO)) The inumimi grinned, ears twitching. "The thunder can't hurt you, the rain brings life, and if you really watch, the lightning makes for a beautiful light show," he replied, tilting his head to the side. "I like storms when I'm not getting soaked and trapped in a tree." _____________________________ Esairen stuck his staff into the ground so he could lean against it and lower his arms, hands resting on his lap as he did so. And, as much as he'd hate himself for it afterwards, the light mage slowly drifted off to sleep, his silvey hair spilling over his shoulder just enough to make him look pretty feminine. Well, more so than usual, anyways. He actually would have made for a pretty girl if he wasn't....well....a boy.

(( Lol lucky. My phone is a piece of-- ohmigosh! There's a crack in my egg :D <3 )) The inumimi's words made some since but there was still one problem... "But you are soaked and we are in a trapped in tree." The neko argued. So that must mean they were both miserable. He sighed, looking pathetic. "The thunder is too loud. It hurts my ears." he said quietly. So in a way the thunder did hurt him. --------------- Ritsuka was staring at him again. It seemed to be forming into a habit. He crawled over to sit cross-legged beside him and stare at him some more. Ritsuka tilted his head to the side. Esairen's scent told Ritsuka he was male, but the mage looked so much like a girl that it was rather confusing. He yawned. Now that the only person to talk to had fallen asleep, he was a bit bored.

The inumimi shook out his hair again, then flicked the water off of his tail bfore curling himself into the smallest ballhe could manage. He was sarted to get cold now, considering he was soaked down to the bone. "Don't pay attention to it. Ignore it," he said, looking up at the neko with eyes that coud be described as a vey dark, yet pretty, shade of violet, even though they were really blue. _______________________ Esairen murmured softly in his sleep, the words coming out jumbled and mixed up, the mage also speaking with a vocal tic of 'nyee~' at the end of some of his sentences. It was a habit he'd grown of, even though it actually sounded kind of cute.

The neko returned the glance, however he felt himself becoming transfixed by the inumimi's eyes and looked away. He sighed. Ignoring thunder that practically echoed in his head was easier said than done. He looked him over. He looked cold, especially with his clothes soaked. The neko sighed again and began to pull off his jacket. "Take your clothes off... or at least you're shirt." he said, finally getting his jacket off. If he sat there with all that wet clothing on he was bound to get sick. ------------ Ritsuka covered his mouth to quiet his laughter. He wondered if Esairen knew he talked in his sleep. It was kind of cute and funny at the same time. He moved his hands from his mouth, sighing slightly. This man was so trusting. He hadn't even know Ritsuka for an hour yet he was still sleeping right beside him. His mind started to wander back to how Esairen had lived for so long. He couldn't figure it out. He took a bit of Esairen's hair between his index finger and his middle finger, being careful not to tug on it even the slightest bit. He had such a weird hair color too. Only elder males had silver hair and it was never as beautiful as the mage's was.

((;D All will be revealed...if he ever asks.)) The inumimi's ears pricked in surprise at the request, his face flushing as he got ready to shoot a sharp response...until he saw why the neko was making the request. The dog boy nodded hesitantly before he peeled off his wet shirt, wringing it out near the entrance and grimacing at the amount of water that came from it. Ew. _________________ Esairen remained asleep, recharging from his excessive magic use. ((-braindead-))

(( Lol. )) The neko gave a nervous laugh. That was a lot of water. He really would have gotten sick if he kept it on. He frowned, knowing that his pants were probably just as wet, but seeking that look on the inumimi's face made him think twice about insisting on them coming off. The cat shifted so he was kneeling in front of the him and he wrapped his jacket as best he could around the dog. The neko frowned. The jacket was a bit to small to zip up comfortably on the inumimi. He wondered if it would be too cold for him. ---------- Ritsuka sighed. Even asleep Esairen looked tired. That was kind of strange. He sighed and stared down at the hair still between his fingertips. "You're awfully strange for a human," he muttered softly.
