Ritsuka stared at the creature, his ears perked forward and his tail up and bristling slightly. He'd never seen anything like it before. "Is it edible?" he asked under his breath, trying to poke it with his finger. In his defense, he hadn't eaten in several days and cute and fuzzy was translated in his mind as plump and juicy. He shook those thoughts aside though. First rule of surviving. If you don't know what it is, don't eat it. Besides, just because this thing was small and cute looking, didn't mean it wasn't dangerous. Ritsuka prided himself on being a excellent example of that fact.

Esairen shook his head. "Sommons usually are not the best things to eat..." he said. Upon being poked, the little creature let out a squeak, fluffing out its fur to make it seem bigger and tougher. It fluttered its wings at Ritsuka, then sat down, ears pricking forward as it yawned, tail twitching.

"If you'd like, I could go find food," Esairen said with a kind smile. He could make another bubble around himself to walk around with.

Ritsuka hissed at it when the creature squeaked at him and his ears flattened against his head. He crouched down in front of it in a cat-like manner so he was face-to-face with it and glared at it, tail lashing behind him. He looked like he was ready to pounce on it, but in a playful way, not necessarily an 'rawr-imma-eat-you' way. 

His ears perked up at Esairen's offer. He had momentarily forgotten the mage altogether. "I couldn't ask you to do that. I'm fine, really." He said. Although he was hungry, accepting any more help from the mage seemed selfish and he wouldn't ask anything of him.

The creature let out another squeak and stared at Ritsuka with big, innocent eyes. Then it moved itself forward to touch noses with Ritsuka, tail flicking back and forth. The two-legged creature tilted its head, blinking at the neko curiously.

Esairen blinked. "...Alright, Ritsuka..." he said, watching the neko playing, he hoped, with the little summon.

The creature made an almost purr-like sound as Ritsuka licked it, squealing when he pulled away. It moved over and sat down against him, obviously already feeling rather attached to the neko. It looked up at him, tilting its head slightly.

Esairen smiled at Ritsuka, chuckling softly. "No need to be embarras-sed, Ritsuka. It's natural," he said, shrinking his staff again to place it back onto his earring, where it would stay until he needed it again. He didn't even think of how Ritsuka would react, for that was something he'd done many times, in front of many different people. 

(( Gah, I think I've read one-to-many shota doujinshis cuz even that sounded dirty to me >_< I blame the fact that it's my bedtime and I'm tired. )) 

Ritsuka sighed and patted the creature's head softly, curling his tail around it protectively. He looked back up at Esairen and frowned slightly. Even if the mage said that, it was still something that would look weird to him since he didn't have animalistic traits. Ritsuka was about to bring this up when he saw the staff shrink, causing him to gasp softly. He wasn't really surprised that the staff had shrunk, but he was surprised that the mage could make it shrink. Ritsuka looked down, quietly running a finger over the scythe charm that hung from his neck. Esairen must have some powerful magic to be able to change a magical item's shape for long periods of time.

Esairen blinked when he heard Ritsuka's gasp, turning to look at him curiously. Then he thought about how odd it must look for him to able to shrink his staff, so he smiled. "It's very bulky. I do that so I don't hae to worry about leaving it somewhere," he said, reaching up to brush his fingers against the earring. Then he leaned back into a laying position, kind of sprawled out, to stare up at the top of the dome, watching the rain as it hit.

The creature leaned against Ritsuka and nuzzled what it could reach, settling down and looking up at him curiously. Hm....

Ritsuka shrugged, not really sure what to say to the mage. He picked the creature up gently by the scruff of it's neck and crawled over lay beside Esairen on his back, coaxing the summon onto his chest so it could curl up there. His tail coiled and uncoiled beside him contently. "So..." he said, "What do you usually do when you're stuck in a bubble?" Surely this wasn't the first time the male had ever been caught in a rainstorm. 

The creature squealed, flailing its little legs and wings before realizing what Ritsuka was doing. When it figured this out, it relaxed, then curled up on the neko's chest, wriggling around a little before laying still, minus its tail tip twitching and its wings ruffling every now and then.

"Usually I rest until the storm is over, but on the rare occaisions that someone decides to drop by my little bubble, I will help them relax, do what I can to keep them happy." Esairen looked over at Ritsuka and smiled warmly, silvery blue eyes kind, despite how his silvery hair fell into his face a little bit. "I enjoy being able to make people smile. It is mt opinion that the more you smile, the more of your despair you chase away. So if you smile often, you'll often be happy."

((...I love Esairen. He has such a soft voice in my headddd. OuO))

Ritsuka listened to Esairen talk and watched the summon on his chest, lifted up and down by Ritsuka's breathing. He poked at its wings with it's tail before turning to look back at Esairen. He still wondered how the male had lived that long. He was frail and sick but he still seemed to care for everyone, even strangers. He felt a smile tug at his lips as he looked up at the mage. There was something about him that relaxed Ritsuka. "Well, you've been so nice to me, so if there's anything I can do for you, I'd be happy to do it." Ritsuka offered, scratching his cheek shyly.

The summon's wings twitched, the creature squeaking again before folding its wings and curling up to go to sleep on Ritsuka's chest. ((See adorable picture. <3))

Esairen looked at Ritsuka, seeming slightly surprised by his response. It seemed that that was the first time anyone had made an offer like that. He was soon smiling again, though. "That is very kind of you, Ritsuka," he said, shifting to prop himself up with his arms, moving his hair out of his face. "Not many will offer to return the favor..." he said, then seemed to think about something before focusing on Ritsuka's ex
pression. "You are wondering how, even with how frail and sickly I am, I got to this point in time, yes?" he asked, curious.

PFFFT. I WAS FORCED TO EAT TACOS.

Giant tacos, with cheese rice and refried beans. I don't even like refried beans! Or most of the stuff that was piled onto my taco. :B

Like lettuce and tomatoes. If I don't eatsalads, why would I eat a salad on a taco? e.o

And sour creme...that wasn't that bad, really..but yeah.

And I was trying to rewrite my Death Note fanfiction....because the first time around it SUCKED.
