Becky looked at the Yanma more closely.
"Um, I think this Yanma might be female." she muttered.
"Yan Yan!" the shiny Yanma hummed. "Yan Yan ya Yanma!"
"So cute!" Becky giggled. She turned to watch the other Pokemon play. Joy the Skitty was the only Pokemon not playing. But she suddenly turned her attention to a bush nearby.
"Skiityyyyy!" she mewed.
"What is it, Joy?" Becky asked, following her Pokemon's gaze. She realized that she was looking at a shiny Trapinch.
"Oh wow! A shiny Trapinch!" she said. She thought for a momenbt. "That's funny, you don't normally see many Trapinch in the forest. Actually, I wouldn't mind catching that..." She pondered it for a moment. The shiny Trapinch looked up, almost quizically. The shiny Yanma hovered nearby, watching witrh interest. She then began playing with the other Pokemon.

Naomi thought to herself... "Weird. I guess it was a male she was chasing..."
"A shiny trapinch? Really?... Those are only found in the desert... It took me a long time to get Dager...Is there an outbreak of shiny Pokemon too? Man, this is weird..."
Naomi gazed at the shiny Pokemon. "Catch it if you want. But I'd prefer to find out where this guy came from..."

Becky nodded, grinning.
"Alright! Joy, use Assist!" Becky called out, and Joy the Skitty complied. The move Assist turned into the move Bullet Seed, hitting the shiny Trapinch quite hard.
((I've just had an idea for a plot...how about there's a scientist who is performing genetic experiments on Pokemon in order to find one that he can clone successfully...which will eventually be Mew/Mewtwo? And the failed experiments turned into Shiny pokemon.))

Naomi and Dager watched intently as Becky tried to catch the shiny trapinch.
"A Trapinch is a good starting dragon type you know, maybe later on, you might have the stuff to be a dragon-type trainer. I warn you though, its still tough. Hehe!"

"Joy, use Water Pulse!" Becky yelled.
"SKIUUUU!" Joy cried, unleashing the move. The shiny Trapinch fell, struggling to get up.
"I'll give it a shot..." Becky muttered. She threw an Ultra Ball at the Shiny Trapinch...and caught it.
"Yes! I caught her!" Becky said, picking up the Ultra Ball. "Hmmm...I think I'll call her Sally!" The shiny Yanma had by this time rallyed all the other Pokemon...who then proceeded to pounce on Joy in play. This made Becky laugh.
"Thing is...there aren't usually ANY shiny Pokemon in these parts. How come there are suddenly so many?" she wondered.

"It bugs me..." Said Naomi... "This new surge of shiny pokemon has an unnatural feeling to me... And I REALLY don't like it...."
Eevee looked up at Naomi with concern.

Becky looked at her Pokemon. The shiny Yanma hovered with them.
"You're right. This DOES have an unnatural feel to it." she muttered. "I wonder...where do these shiny Pokemon keep coming from?" It was then that she noticed that the shiny Yanma was buzzing around, uncomfortably.

"Yan Yan yanma yan yanma yan..." Yanma buzzed, before flying upwards to where the rest of the Yanma and Yanmega had gathered. "Yan Yan ma Yan Ma!" But all of a sudden there was a collosal noise from behind some trees...and a Flamethrower attack was fired. It hit all of the Yanma who fell to the ground.Becky gasped and saw that an Arcanine had fired the attack. But this Arcanine was also a shiny...and was wearing a weird robotic device over it's head...could the machine be controlling it?

Becky wanted to battle Arcanine, but before she could pick which Pokemon to use, all of them had run and hid behind her. Well, that is, all except for Sparks. The little shiny Shinx stepped forward and growled. Then, much to Becky's further surprise, one of her Ultra Balls burst open and the shiny Trapinch that she had just caught emerged next to Sparks.
"Sally? Are you sure you want to battle?" she asked. Sally nodded. Sparks took up position in front of Eevee, and barked something at Arcanine.
"I think Sparks just said something along the lines of 'STAY AWAY FROM MY NEW BUDDY!' or something like that..." Becky laughed.

"Heh..." Naomi didn't have time for jokes. She stepped forward with her Pokemon and took charge. "Eevee! Use shadow ball! Dager! Use Bite!"

"Sparks, use Charge and then Thunderbolt!" Becky commanded. "And Sally, you...um, actually, I have no idea what moves you know..." But Sally winked, sending a barrage of glowing hearts towards Arcanine. They struck the large Pokemon who instantly began swaying on his feet, looking quite silly.
"That was Attract, wasn't it?" Becky wondered. "Which means...Arcanine is male."

Dager latched onto Arcanine with his bite attack.
"Eevee! Use tackle and knock that thing off his head!"
Eevee ran at Arcanine at full speed and smashed into whatever it was on Arcanines head. It seemed to loosen a little.
"Keep going Eevee!"

"Sparks, use Iron Tail on that machine!" Becky commanded.
"Shiaaaaa!" Sparky cried. He smashed his tail into the machine. Sally the shiny Trapinch stood ready for orders, so Becky quickly tossed a Sitrus Berry to her to heal some of the damage she had taken previously.

"Just one more Eevee!"
"Eeeee.... VEE!" Eevee unleashed a full blown tackle attack that sent the machine on the Arcanine's head flying right off. The confused pokemon stood there in a bit of a daze.

The shiny Arcanine stood there for a moment. Then, quite to the surprise of the others, it turned tail and ran away at top speed.
"That was...eventful." Becky managed to say after a moment. She picked up the discarded remains of the machine. "What the heck is this thing?"
"MEOOW!" Meowsy hissed at the machine.
"You don't like it either, huh?" Becky asked. "But we have bigger propblems. We have to help the shiny Yanma and its friends." She walked over to the injured shiny Yanma and her friends.

"I always keep some of these on hand, the Pokemon love 'em. They should help." Naomi tossed Becky several Oran berries.

Becky caught the Oran Berries, thanked Naomi, and fed an Oran Berry to each of the injured Yanma or Yanmega. They quickly recovered and started buzzing around again, as if to thank the humans and Pokemon for their help.
"It's nice to see them all looking better. They look so happy!" Becky said, smiling. The shiny yanma from before landed on her head as if to say 'thanks' before buzzing and then perching on Naomi's head briefly and then going over to the Pokemon who had battled. She thanked each one in turn and Sparks, being the little gentleman he was, bowed to the female shiny Yanma.
