Sarah sighted, unable to shake the feeling. "I guess you're right," she said stiffly, glancing at the clock. 11:57. Her stomach twisted. 

Luke laughed, "I will try, he said, openeing the door to let his mother in, "hey mom." he said, forcing a smile.

"Lucas Darling! How have you been?" she asked in her snobby voice. She hugged her son and kissed his cheek. It was only then that she looked at Sarah, "and who is this?" she asked, looking her over disaprovingly.

"This is Sarah. My girlfriend." he told his mother, putting his arm back around Sarah.

Luke's mother gave a fake smile, "pleasure to meet you Susan, I'm Jeanette." she said, offering ehr hand for Sarah to shake. Luke sighed and shook his head. "here we go." he muttered under his breath.

((yes I'm aware i used the wrong name. Its Jeanette's way of saying that Sarah is unwelcome.

As soon as his mother walked in, Sarah disliked her. There was the kind of people she hated; rich, snobby people who thought they were better than anyone else.

She took her hand, squeezing it as hard as she could manage, and said in a falsely nice voice, "Nice to meet you, Jeanette. I'm SARAH, as Luke mentioned earlier." Her smile was bittersweet as she pulled her hand away. 

Jeanette gave her a blank stare, "well I'm sorry Serena I dont have a clue how I got your name wrong." he said, smiling, "we will jsut have to work on that.

Luke groaned, "so mom, where are we going to eat?" he asked.

Jeanette tossed ehr meduim lenght, straight auburn hair over her shoulder, "well, I wouldnt want to overwhel your girlfriend with our high cl*censored* resturants, shall we go to the local McDonalds?" she asked, giving Sarah and evil glare.

Luke put his face in the palm of his hand, "this will not end well." he said.

Sarah arched her eyebrows, resting her hand on one hip. "I'm sorry," she said with a sickening smile. "I don't understand; what's McDonalds?" She laughed lightly. "I've never been there; my butlers usually serve me my own dinner in my mansion."

She was lying, of course, to get Luke's mother off her back. She was tempted to shoot him a dirty look, but knew better than to.

"Oh so you are poor and dumb!" Jeanette said with a gasp, "oh you poor thing!" she put one hand over her mouth.

"okay ladies! Shall we?" Luke said, trying to diffuse the situation before it got too out of hand, "mom, you can take your car, me and Sarah will follow you in mine."

Jeanette gasped, "Luke! you still drive that old 2010 lamborghini? Oh heavens no! I will have to get you the new model."

Luke groaned, "no. Lets stick with my car. Now lets go. Now." he said, leading Sarah out of the apartment with his arm then to the elevator.

Jeanette raised one eyebrow, "I'm taking the stairs, I hate sharing the elevators with ordinary people." she said, leaving Luke and Sarah alone in the elevator.

"That woman is going to drive me to do drugs." Luke said, reaching in his pocket and pulling out a pack of cigarettes. He neversmoked unless his mother was in town, he offered the pack to Sarah, "it helpt with the strees." he said, "Honestly." He lit his cigarette and took a drag, and could feel his mood lighten slightly.

Sarah paled, thinking about the pregnancy test at once. "I can't," she said. "I have a, er, condition, so I can't smoke." She frowned, looking at Luke. "You said she wasn't that bad?" She snorted, imitating Jeanette, " 'Oh so you are poor and dumb!' " 

Scowling, she started to stalk away. Regret made her want to punch a hole in the wall at the moment, and she instantly wished she had ditched Luke first chance she got. Stepping into the elevator, she punched the button without waiting for him.

Luke stepped into the elevator quickly, "hey now, calm down. I told you she wouldnt like you." he said with a shrug, "its because your not from beverly hills. She has this vision of me marrying some actress and making billions." he shrugged, "thats her now me."

((*cant remember* did we plan on the baby being Jace's or Lukes in the last one? or did we never come to an agreement on that XD))

Pale skinned and silver-haired like Jace,

but with those pretty green eyes Luke has.

I know that's not possible, but how freaky would that be ?! :O }

"I shouldn't have come," she said under her breath. "I've got, er, things to straighten out. Perhaps you should just drop me off at my house, then catch up with you tomorrow or something."

Sarah crossed her arms over her chest.

Luke raised one eyebrow and took another drag off his cigarette, "come on, we both know you don't live it home." he said, putting out the cigarette on the wall as the elevator doors opened. He walked out of the elecator, thankful that he would be outside before jeanette made it down the stairs.

"Really," she said stubbornly. "I forgot something there. Something important. Can you please drop me off?" Sarah was starting to get desperate. She didn't need Jeanette and a baby all in one day. She needed a little thinking time.

The baby is gonna be all cute. :3 A girl. She looks like her mum, except she has her dad's eyes and attitude. XD -imagines- }

"alright fine." Luke said, slipping out the door as Jeanette came down the last flight of steps. He got into the car and startedd the engine. He leaned across the seat and opened the pas.senger door to let Sarah in.

Sarah hopped in, ignoring Jeanette frostily. "Thanks," she said, leaning over to peck him on the cheek. "Trust me when I say it's something that involves you too." She smirked, "A lot, actually."  Sitting up straight, she looked out the window and let her mind wander.

Luke shrugged, "alright, we will tlak about it later then, I will pick you up after my date with the devil okay?" he said, driving as quickly as possible to Charolette's house so his mother wouldnt throw at fit about him being late.

"Okay," Sarah said quietly. "But don't get yourself all worked up. You might be..." She searched for a fitting, non-cliché word. "Disappointed." With a confident smile as they pulled up to her old house, she nodded and got out of the car. "See you later," Sarah waved, walking up her driveway. 

Finally. She was alone.
