Sarah stared at her cellphone, number dialed, debating on whether or not she should press the call button. Charlotte had taken the news well; she was squealing and listing off baby names, but Sarah wasn't listening. She was still deciding whether or not to call Luke and apologize. Finally, after Charlotte stopped talking the with the name "Thomas", Sarah pressed call and put the phone to her ear. She chewed on her lip nervously.

Luke grabbed his phone off the table and answered wtihout even looking at who it was, "hello?" he asked, running a hand through his hair and yawning sleepily. "She thinks Tara, Lucy, or Alice if it's a girl, and Jonathon, Thomas, James, Kyle, or Sam if it's a boy." Charlotte disappeared into the other room again with a happy squeal, but Sarah ignored her. "I, personally, think that it should be Jason if it's a boy." She blinked, silence drawing out. Her voice got quieter. "And Deomi if it's a girl."

Luke got silent for a moment, then said, "not Jason. that was Jace's real name wasnt it?" he said. There was a lump in his throat when she said she wanted to name the baby Deomi if it was a girl. Deep down, he still missed hsi sister, and probably always would.

Sarah put the phone to her ear again. "She doesn't mind," she mumbled. Her voice got a little quieter again. "And how about Jacob if it's a boy..." She felt a pang of guilt and pain, but shoved it off. She wouldn't dwell on her brother.
