Bell's fur bristled "you don't need weapons to kill somebeast".

"Strangebeasts have strange ways" Bell said.

"Just the type of job we were looking for... right Damion." Victoria shot him a glance that said I will kill you if you don't help.

"Oh, um... yes, right." he stuttered.

"The only snatchers I wouldn't be able to destroy are those two blasted smoke foxes." Dekon said "Is it their camp you're referring to?"

Rook and Sunny approached a large dusty mine. Sunny whimpered with fear as she saw a young wolf drop to the ground with exhaustion and a snatcher whip it cruelly until it got up. It was then taken out of the room.

"Beter get snatchin' then" Doomeye said.

"Aye" Dannflower said.

Bell didn't reply.

Skipper raised his head slightly "kyah kyah...." he lowerd his head again watching the strangers. He hissed.  

"I see..." Dekon sighed "Then we must leave. I would never put Aquanetta and Krystal in such danger..."

Aquanetta looked at Dekon and rolled her eyes "We're not that delicate, you know. We did grow up around a pack of wolves, you know. We can take care of ourselves. I'd quite like to stay, it's much safer in numbers. That is... if you'll have us?" she turned to Dannflower.

"Brilliant." Victoria said, a twinge of excitement in her voice that made Damion shudder involentarily.

"Righto then" Hazelnut said "but I sugest we find otherbeasts to help, that way we can wipe them out all at onece, they'll either be jolly well dead or flippin' well flead!Wot wot!".

"Aye, otters, shrews, mice and watervoles" Dann said.

"Squirrles, hares, moles and any featherd beast we can find" Hazelnut aded "and in sure you can name a few strangebeasts from this land, wot wot?" Hazelnut asked Krystal.

Hazelnut nodded "we best be serching for them then, and any other beast willing to help".

"Absolutely." Dekon replied.

"I need to go to the toilet!" whined Aquanetta.

"Then go, stupid." Krystal laughed as Aquanetta stalked off into the bushes to find a suitable bush to squat in.

Warbeak puffed out her feathers and flew off.

Dann sighed "sparrows".

As soon as Aqaunetta emerged back from the toilet, Dekon announced "We'd best be going in search of them, then."

Hazelnut nodded and cuped her paws to her mouth and belowed "WAYLAHEYKOOM!". She lowerd her paws and listened, her ears twitching.

"SHRUMM! SHRUMM!" fifty voices of shrews called back in unison.

"Oh the river is deep an' swift an' wide!
WAYLAHEYKOOM!" Hazelnut called.

"An' there's my matey at my side!
SHRUMM! SHRUMM!" came the reply

"With the sunlight beamin' through the trees!
WAYLAHEYKOOM!"Hazelnut called.

"We'll all remember days like these!
SHRUMM! SHRUMM!"they replyed.

"Oh waylaheykoom," Hazelnut called.

"Shrumm shrumm shrew!"they replyed.

"I WON'T FORGET A FRIEND LIKE YOU!"the shrews and Hazelnut bellowed in unison as the shrews burst into the clearing.

Groffgut cracked the whip "well get diggin' then!".

Rook looked at the pickaxes by his feet and handed one to Sunny. "We've got no choice..." he said simply as he raised his and started to hack away at the rock.

Sunny joined him.

Victoria sighted her targets. A group of disgustingly jolly snatcher-hunters. She could take them.

She growled and sprang out of the bushes. "Prepare for slavery, freaks. Or, if you're lucky, I might be able to give you death if you struggle."

Aquanetta screamed. Krystal shreiked. Dekon growled. "Try to hurt them, and you die." he said gravely.

Dippler, leader of the shrews, had his scimitar to Victoria's neack in a flash "move and yore a deadbeast!" he growled, baring his teeth.
