Shadow ignored him and looked at her newest drawling. She knew she would add the details later and then some color and it would look great. The teacher gave them an assignment that would involve a partner and soon everyone,in the class,had their partner and she was stuck alone. She sighed and looked around for Jason,who wasn't in the class. "Oh great. I get him.",she growled to herself and added,"The 'popular' kid."

Jason came back into class from his visit to the nose. When he walked in everyone was working on something and the teacher told him to choose a partner. He looked around for Giovanni but he was with another guy. Jason sighed and noticed the 'weird' girl was sitting alone with no partner. This is a good time to talk to her. He thought to himself. Jason then grabbed a chair and sat next to her. "So whats the assignment?" he asked looking at his drawing. "And nice picture. Did you make it yourself?" he asked kindly

Jason gave her a warm smile and said, "Sure when do we start?" He then heard the bell ring and sighed. He wanted to spend more time with.. Wait he didnt get her name. "Oh before I leave. Whats your name? I never really got to that." he asked her looking into her eyes. "Jason I think you should be leaving for the next period, not flirting with the poor girl." his teacher said sternly. Jason blushed slightly but still waited their for her responce.

Shadow rolled her eyes and stood,gathering her stuff. "It's Lily,but I like to be called Shadow.",she replied before walking away. She went down the hallway to her locker to gather her art supplies for her next class,art. After gathering them she said to herself and shut her locker,"After this class there's only one more class until school is over." Then she walked off to go to her next class.

Jason was in metalshop working on a school project. He had to make a coat hanger. Yup pretty exciting.. He then heard the bell ring and a large smile played on his face. Jason left his project there and ran out the door as fast as he could. "Hey Jason where you going?" Giovanni yelled as he rushed past him. Gio sighed and continued walking towards his car. "Everyday that kid has to be doing something.." he muttered under his breath. Jason kept thinking of Shadow. Such a nice name. he thought. He then ran into the woods near the city and pulled out his coyote necklace.

Shadow put her stuff in her locker and raced out of the school. She found the nearest alley and hid as she transformed into her fruit bat form. Quickly she flew towards the woods to go home and tried not to be noticed by anyone else. Soon she saw Jason and whispered to herself,"Crap. Got to hide." She dove to a branch and wrapped her feet around it. Dropping her body to hang upside down she watched Jason and wondered what he was doing out here.

Jason thought he heard some rustling but it was probably just a mouse or something. He then wrapped the necklace over his neck and soon he turned into a coyote. He howled into the wind and examined himself. "Perfect! I guess its always worth waiting 7 hours a week to turn into an animal. Jason then rubbed on the grass and sniffed around, soon smelling a fruitbat. A fruitbat? Were there even any out there? Jason became curious and started to follow the scent around

A small gasp escaped the mouth of the small fruit bat when she saw Jason turn into a coyote. "He has my gift!",she whispered to herself and hoped he wouldn't hear her. She wrapped her wings tightly around her body and ducked her head behind them to hide and protect herself.

Jason heard silent whispering and walked closer towards the sound. When he reached his destination it was nothing but a small fruitbat who he seemed to have scared. He sighed and pawed at the fuitbat. "Hello? Do you understand me?" he asked with both his ears straight up and his head turned to a confused look.

Shadow stretched out her wings and dropped from the branch. As she flaps her wings she stayed infront of his face and said,"Yes,Jason,why?" The fruit bat tilted her head and smiled a bit. "I saw what you did. You have The Gift.",the little fruit bat said and her smile got bigger.

Jasons ears dropped to the flat on the top of his head. His tail went between his legs and he felt small. How could anyone possibly even know he had it? How did this little bat even know who he was? Jason started to growl at the little bat. "Who are you? You better tell me or Ill eat you!" he shouted angrily.
