"Hmm... Lets see... I believe I'm the one they call the 'weird' girl?",Shadow said,acting slightly clueless as to who she was. In a quick motion of her wings she turned back into a human and smiled at the little Jason. She bent down and patted his head. "As a coyote your really kind of cute,but when your in your normal human form I wouldn't say anything close to that." Then she straightened back up and smirked. "I always thought there was something strange about you. I just couldn't put my finger on it." "Well I had better get back to my house and feed Moon.",she said and turned to walk away.

Jason straightened his ears and had almost a scared look on his face. He watched as Shadow changed back into a human and patted his head. He blushed a bit when Shadow called him cute. For a coyote. Jason bit his necklace and ripped it off and turned into a human. "Hey wait!" he shouted and ran in front of her. "Your just going to leave?" he asked. "And are you going to tell anyone at school?" this time more afraid that she might.

Shadow stopped and turned,quickly,around. "Yes,I am,I need to feed Moon. Also,no one's my friend,so how could I tell anyone?",she replied.

Jason smiled sweetly at Shadow and spoke, "Well we could hang out if you want.". He then put the coyote necklace in his backpack and put on his tiger sunglasses. He put his ears back and rolled over playfully, trying to make her laugh. "Please?" he asked.

Shadow sighed and turned into a panther. She looked at him and put a paw on his snout. "Only for a little bit,but first I need to get to my house. You can come along.",she replied to him and then removed her paw and started to walk away once more. "Coming?",she asked as she kept walking.

Jason laughed and got up from the ground. He then followed her but almost forgot to take the sunglasses off. With his paw, Jason struggled to get them off his face but soon did. "So why were you following me here in the first place?" he asked with a sly smile.

Shadow didn't bother turning back to a human and replied,"I wasn't. I was already here when you got here." She then saw her house in a clearing surrounded by trees. She started to run and turned into a human as she did. Running her hand across the top of the door when she got to the porch she pulled out a key and unlocked the door. "Hurry up!",she said and went inside,leaving the door open for him.

Shadow smiled and nodded a 'Thanks' as she held out her arm for something to land on. A screech broke the air and a winged creature flew from a darkened part of the house to land on her arm. When it was visible it was obvious that this creature was some sort of hawk. "This is Moon,my Red-Tailed Hawk.",she introduced the bird and it screeched again in reply to its name.

Jason was startled at the sound of screeching. His heart was thumping quickly, thinking it was some sort of train heading towards the house. Jason straightened up and acted as if nothing happened. "Hehe hi Moon." he said scratching the back of his head. "Nice alarm clock ya got there-.-" he told Shadow.

Jason smiled at Moon. "Hey there Moon, Im Jason." he said with a sly smile. He then looked at his watch and gasped. "I got to get going! I have to check up on my mom, catch you tomorrow Shadow!" he yelled and ran out the door. Jason turned into his wolf, which looked more like a dog, and ran to his house.

Jason soon returned home to find his mother sleeping in bed. He then sat on the corner and watch her slowly open her eyes. "Hi mom, Im home." he said softly. His mother faintly smiled and reached out to give him a weak hug. "I called the doctor, Jason, I have can-cancer.." she whispered into his ear. Jason stared at her in shock and hugged her a bit more tightly, tears falling from his face.
The next day he ran to school in his coyote form and stopped right before he could enter school grounds. His crowd of friends circled him as soon as he stepped through the doors. He managed to get them all away from him and saw Giovanni. Giovanni came up to him but Jason waslooking for Shadow. "Whats wrong?" he asked. "Hm? Oh, um nothing.. Ill tell you later ok?" he said, and with that he left, searching the campus for Shadow.

Shadow ran to school in her wolf form through an abandoned alley,but right before reaching school she changed into her human form and continued to run,soon making it inside the doors and going to her locker. She put up her backpack,grabbed her binder and then turned around,shutting the locker as she did.
Soon after this she found Jason,who looking like a scared rabbit as he searched for her. Placing a hand on his shoulder she asked,"What is it?"
