Finishing off the hole Shadow looked up at the darkened and raining sky and sighed. She left the hole behind, pile of wet dirt beside it to put back in the hole after the female's body was placed inside. Trotting back to camp she was soaked with rain water and decided to go to her cave to dry.
Zarisa saw the male and took his warning into mind and nodded a 'Thank you' to him before walking off to find her mate.
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Muster watched her go away and sighed. Walking into his cave he watched the rain drip and he rested his head on his paws, going to sleep quickly.

Soon the female had alerted her mate of the situation and he went out with a small group to go observe the river to make sure he could alert the pack if anything went wrong.

Muster woke up and fed the hungry pups. Sighing as they looked just like there mom. Wait, who's there dad? Muster got up instantly, she knew where her pack was. He stepped out of his cave, growling at the pups to follow. They instantly got up and scrambled after him. Muster started to trot off, the pups bounding at his feet. He got to the river seeing it was flooding, he turned around and set off in the other direction. Picking the pups up and throwing them on his back he kept trotting against the shore. Finding a narrow piece he trotted through it, lifting his paws extra high. Getting back on to land, it was getting dark. Not risking anything he set the sleeping pups under a bush. Hunting down two rabbits he marked the bush, meaning he came in peace. Lying down and nudging the pups to wake up, they did. Nudging the rabbit towards they ate it up hungrily. Finishing it off, Muster started on his own rabbit. Lying down and falling asleep with the pups, he awoke the next morning. Waiting for the pups to wake up.

Shadow awoke an hour or so after Muster had left and stretched out her legs with a huge yawn. 'I better go speak with my sister. We don't have our little talks anymore.' The she-wolf trotted over to her sister's cave and barked into its entrance to get her sister's attention.

Muster got up and trotted off, hunting down another two rabbits. When he got back the pups woke up. Eating their rabbit they bounded around for a bit. Leading them back to the river, they had a long refreshing drink and Muster too. Hopping in, he cleaned the dirt and the pups came in too. Smiling as they played he gave a bark and trotted away. Seeing the pups weren't following he growled and gave them a nip at their back legs. Crying they hurtled forward, slowing them down Muster walked the long journey he had in front of them. The pups trotting at his feet, they eventually walked.

"Snowflake? Mommy's 'perfect daughter'?", Shadow chuckled as she recalled what she always teased her sister about. She then wound her way through the roots in the cave and found her sister slightly frowning at the thing her sister had called her. "I told you not to call me that." "Oh come on. You know I'm just teasing."

Muster entered the dense forest and stopped in the early afternoon, careful not to wear the young pups out.

Shadow and her sister spoke for hours about many subjects until they got to the subject of Muster.
(Brain dead. I'll continue this in my next post.)

Muster hid under a bush, it was just a few more days until they reached the pack. He killed two rabbits and ate his share. The pups ate theirs and Muster took them to the river to drink. Sliding back under the bush, they fell asleep.

"So, that male your mother let onto pack grounds... Do you think he's cute?", her sister cleared her throat, "I mean, handsome."
"That isn't the best of questions, I've only known him for a little while.", Shadow replied, not able to remember him from her pup-hood.

Muster woke up the next morning and found some food. Eating with the pups they walked on. Finding a river, he drank as well as the pups. Dark fell quickly and Muster walked on, carrying the pups on his back.

Shadow and her sister talked and talked until they became far too tired, but Shadow knew she still had a body to bury. "Sister, I have to go do something. I'll see you in the morning.", Shadow told her sister before remembering her sister still had the body in her possession. "I'm going to need to take her.", the female gestured towards the lifeless body's place in the den, the response being a nod as her sister went deeper into the cave to sleep in her 'bed'. The dark female positioned the body on her shoulders and then wound her way through the roots and out of the cave. Racing out of the pack's territory she went directly to the hole under the tree. Gently, the body was placed inside its final resting place. Shadow then proceeded to sit on the side of the grave and howl a beautiful song to the female's spirit. "Body to dust,
Spirit to us.
You shall thrive,
Never dead,
Only alive..."
The song continued on with many more words flowing from the female's jaws to make the most beautiful of songs to the recently deceased mother. The howling continued on for quite awhile before Shadow finally began to pile dirt on top of the body. "Your spirit is now free to do as it wishes, your body left behind.", she whispered as she put her nose to the newly dirt filled grave.

Muster collapsed under a bush. He left the pups there and went to sniff the territory. It wasn't too far, so he trotted back and fell asleep.

With a yawn Shadow curled up on the freshly turned dirt of the grave and let her eyes close. "Tomorrow I'll have Muster come to see you.", she muttered to the ground before sinking into a deep sleep.

Muster woke up and yawned. Picking the pups up and taking them to the river, he dropped them in the shallow end. They woke up with a yap. Muster drawn and sank down into the mud. He felt so sad, was it actually worth it to live? He rose and cleaned the mud off himself and the pups and carried them on his back. He stopped at the border, until finally entering. He walked and saw the pack up ahead. Jaws snapped at him and they raced towards him, "Stop! I come in peace and I have news." Muster yelled. They stopped, he dropped the still sleeping pups onto the ground. A male walked towards him, the leader. "What are you doing in our territory?" Muster looked at him and started to speak, "My sister. She was part of this pack." The wolf muttered her name. "Yes. She has died. The new pack I have joined killed her. I am devastated to tell you, I had nothing to do with it." Muster said, he motioned towards the pups. "I found these pups and have brought them to you." The male nodded and put the pups aside. "Thank you." he said. "Now leave." he roared. Muster scrambled away and just before the river, Muster stopped and fell asleep.

Shadow awoke just in time to see the scouts and the hunters departing to go hunt and search the area around the pack territory for any intruders.
With an unpracticed smile on her face she went to go see if Muster was in his den.
Upon reaching his den she found it empty and shrugged off her worried feeling. "He just went to go hunt or scout with the others.", she told herself before trotting off to her own cave to go get something for the pups, but then it hit her, the pups he was watching over weren't there.
