Sara gave up arguing. "Thanks," she growled. She didn't like mating season. Fights erupt, and people get hurt. She wished that guys would just let the girls take their pick instead of har*censored*ing them.

Sara walked to her den and stayed there the rest of the day. She hated mating season, hated it. Every year since she was old enough to mate, she hated it.

Sara went back to the pack grounds the next day and growled at any guy that stared at her. Her eyes were beautiful, yet full of anger. She tried to find Jotto so that she could thank him properly.

Sara put her nose to the ground and sniffed Jotto out. She followed the scent to a den and stood at the edge of his territory and watched him sleep. Why was he so interesting to her? Maybe because he was the only male wolf that didn't fall all over her, especially during mating season.
