"Yeah...I know." Sighed Sam. "But hey, what's the harm in positive thinking right?" She let her head rest on his chest and stared up at the stars. "Sometimes I wish that I didn't have to go back." She muttered.

Daire shrugged lightly, threading his fingers through Sam's hair as he mumbled, "Yeah, me too. But, we've got to go back..." His voice trailed off, and he furrowed his brow, still staring up at the stars. "Later. I could care less if I have to carry you all the way back home at dawn. I want to spend as much time as possible with you right now."

"Alright, we'll stay longer. We just can't stay too long." She paused. "Not that I want to go back soon, it's just that if someone where to see that I wasn't in my room, it would be pretty bad."

Daire sighed, then sat up, looking down at the town. "I really can't believe there's still lights on sometimes." he said, blinking and rewrapping his arms around Sam. "I mean, I'm usually out at some random place at night, but still."

"Well, I guess a lot of things happen at night. Maybe there are people like you who go to random places." Sam told him, enjoying the warmth from his body. "After all, it really isn't that uncommon to be up late."

Daire shrugged. "That's true," he said simply, and then he stood up, bringing Sam up, as well. "We better get going," he mumbled, taking Sam's hand and leading her towards the car again. "I wouldn't want to get caught, you know,"

Sam allowed Daire to pull her up, though she would have rather stayed where she was. "I suppose you are right." She agreed reluctantly. "It is getting pretty late."

Daire nodded slightly, unlocking his car and opening the door for Sam. "I'm surprised you're not tired," he commented, trying to lighten the mood with a smile. "I were you, I'm sure I would be."

"Trust me," Sam grinned as she slid onto the seat. "I'm much more tired than you think. But I wouldn't want to waste the time I have with you by sleeping. I'll sleep when I get back home."

Daire smiled, closing the door behind Sam and trotting around to the driver's side of the car. He opened his own door and plopped down in his own seat, starting the car and pulling away from the cliff. The road was a bit bumpy for some time, but it smoothed out not too long later.

For most of the ride, Sam stared out the window of the car, occasionally looking over at Daire and smiling. As they neared the place where he would stopped, she spoke. "So, what the the chances are me successfully persuading you to stay a little bit longer?"

Chuckling, Daire parked his car, pulling the keys out just before the car stopped completely. "Well, whatever," he said, getting out of his car. He walked around to the other side and opened Sam's door again, and when he did, he realized just how tired he was. He literally wilted at the sudden realization, and now exhaustion was clear in his eyes.
