Bic: The sound of the car door opening startled Sam from her daze. She was plenty tired seeing how she had been out with Daire last night. Grabbing her bag as she got out of the car, she forced a smile as she thanked her chauffeur. Walking to the front lawn of the school, she glanced around to see if she could spot either Daire or his car. She didn't let not seeing him bother her, it wasn't that uncommon actually. Instead, she headed inside to put some of her books in her locker, knowing she would see him sooner or later. Of course, she did prefer it to be sooner.

( o-o *shoves Daire into some other guy*
HOMG. FIGHT!
Okay, that's not why they fight. I'll give it a little thought, 'kay? 8D )

Daire rubbed at his eyes, thinking he was standing by his locker. And, he was. For some reason, he had a locker that was right next to all the people he loved to piss off, including the jocks who thought they were better than him. They were stronger, but the fact that they were bigger made it easier for Daire to fight them off.

And today just happened to be "one of those days", where Daire and the jocks randomly got into a fight. The thing that ticked Daire off was that he was shoved away. What pissed him off was when they started talking about him, and some of the other jocks were talking about...inappropriate things. He heard Sam's name somewhere, and he kicked one of them into the other. After that, there were three guys trying to get in Daire's face,

"I can hear you perfectly well," Daire snarled. "I don't think you should be talking about me in my face."

"You wanna do something about it, pretty boy?" growled one of the jocks, grinning like an idiot.

Daire scowled. His ex
pression clearly read, "I am not amused." "Pretty boy? What? Just because girls hang around me, I'm pretty?"

"Yeah, actually," One of them shoved him. He punched him. Obviously, whoever had shoved him wasn't actually all that tough; he went down immediately. As soon as he touched the ground, the two others had pounced on Daire.

"Guys! Some of the jocks are fighting again!" "Come on, let's go! We don't want to miss this!" Sam heard these and several other things all with the same meaning. She rolled her eyes as she put the last of her books away. What was the point of watching them? A teacher was bound to break it up soon anyways.

She began to head towards Daire's locker, thinking it was possible he was here now. It wasn't until she heard some of the noise of the fight that she realized that those who wanted to watch it were also heading this way. Sam shrugged it off though. Daire's locker was near the jocks if she remembered correctly. And she doubt that Daire would get into a fight. At least not while he was still at school.

Sam began to doubt herself when the crowd started to near his locker though. Pushing her way through, she prayed that Daire wasn't involved. Her heart sank though, when she saw Daire in the center of the fight.

It wasn't like he would win the fight, but Daire fought back anyway. Three against one was unfair, especially when the three were big. muscle-y football players who were probably on steroids. It looked like he was getting killed, but really, he was kind of having a good time.

But, when he spotted Sam in the crowd, he just stopped, and the jocks grabbed him. They were like a murder of crows, and Daire was the helpless little baby bunny that couldn't do a thing to defend himself. Especially not with his arms held behind his back.

Lucky for him, a teacher shoved their way through the crowd and literally snarled at the other three, yelling at them to go to the office. Daire knew he wouldn't be called down until later, so he scrambled to his feet and made his way to where Sam was, ignoring two teachers who kept asking if he wanted to go to the nurse's office.

"Hi, Sammie," Daire said a little breathlessly, smiling even though he looked like crap.

Sam stared at him and shook her head in disbelief. "I don't understand you sometimes." She said after a few moments of silence. "Getting into a fight first thing in the morning, losing said fight, then coming over to me and smiling like nothing happened?" She frowned at him. "Daire..." She paused, not knowing what to say. "Well, are you alright? Because you aren't looking to good right now." She finally said.

Daire frowned then. "Thanks, Sam. I really like it when you talk to me that way." he said, and then he sighed, realizing that if he fought with Sam now, it would come back and haunt him later.

"I'm fine, Sam," he mumbled, and then he held out his hand. "Walk with me to calss?" he asked quietly.

Yeah, and I really like it when I see you fight. Sam thought but she kept her mouth shut. It wasn't that hard to tell that Daire was trying to refrain from an argument so she should do the same.

"Yeah, okay let's go." Sam agreed, taking his hand.

Daire shrugged. "Well, I get to see you, don't I?" he asked, grinning at Sam. That was probably one of the best reasons he could think of to get up and go to school, rather than ditching and messing around with his friends. "There's always that."

"Oh, I can call myself whatever I want," Daire said, waving a hand, as if to dismiss the subject. He waved it again, this time as a farewell, and then walked off, one hand stuffed into his jeans pocket. Now, the school seemed dull again.
